  • Patent number: 11393204
Abstract: A processor may process a video feed of a monitored area. The processing may include attempting to decrypt the video feed using a temporally-varying digital rights management key in a state corresponding to a time at which the encrypted video feed was received and encountering a decryption error during the attempting. The processing may include comparing the video feed with an output feed from a secondary sensor to determine that at least one object is indicated in the monitored area by the output feed and not visible in the video feed. The processor may indicate a problem with the video feed. For example, the processor may indicate that the encrypted video feed has been altered prior to the receiving of the encrypted video feed due to the decryption error and/or that the video camera is malfunctioning due to the at least one object being not visible in the video feed.

  • Patent number: 11392490
Abstract: Systems and methods for marking similarity groups impacted by a garbage collection operation are disclosed. Similarity groups are used to identify segments associated with objects in a computing system. Using deletion records that identify objects to be deleted, the similarity groups impacted by the deletion records can be identified. The live segments associated with the impacted similarity groups are also identified. This allows segments that are associated with the deleted objects and that are not associated with any live objects to be removed.

  • Patent number: 11392649
Abstract: A query scoping service enables administrators to scope a directory attribute bound query to an organizational boundary within an organizational structure. The directory attribute bound query may be scoped to a subset of users that have specific value(s) for specific user attributes. The directory attribute bound query includes a search string. Data that is analyzed with respect to the search string is limited to data that is stored in association with users that have specific value(s) for specific user attributes. In this way, data files that are stored in association with users that do not have the specific values for the specific directory attributes will be omitted from query results. The directory attribute bound query may be tied to data retention rules. Since the scope of the directory attribute bound query is defined based on the organizational structure, the query scope remains accurate notwithstanding changes occurring in the organizational structure.

  • Patent number: 11392919
Abstract: A device may receive transaction data associated with a plurality of merchants. The transaction data may include a first set of transactions and, for each transaction included in the first set of transactions: data identifying a merchant and a method of payment. The device may identify, from the first set of transactions, a second set of transactions associated with a credit account method of payment from the first set of transactions. The device may train, based on the first set of transactions and the second set of transactions, a merchant model. The merchant model may be trained to: receive, as input, data identifying the merchant, and produce, as output, a measure of likelihood that the merchant accepts the credit account method of payment. The device may perform an action based on the merchant model.

  • Patent number: 11394296
Abstract: A voltage driver can be operated to power an electrowetting lens of an eye-implantable or eye-mountable device. The voltage driver includes a first charge pump that outputs a first voltage having a first polarity and a second charge pump that outputs a second voltage having a second polarity, where the second polarity is an opposite polarity of the first polarity. The voltage driver can be operated to charge the electrowetting lens by coupling the first charge pump to the electrowetting lens and, after charging the electrowetting lens, discharge the electrowetting lens by coupling the second charge pump to the electrowetting lens. In operation, charging and discharging the electrowetting lens adjusts an optical power of the electrowetting lens and can thus adjust an optical power available for vision when the electrowetting lens is implanted in or mounted on an eye.

  • Patent number: 11389371
Abstract: A method of modulating glandular secretions by administering acoustic shock waves to a gland, includes the steps of activating acoustic shock waves of an acoustic shock wave generator to emit acoustic shock waves and subjecting the gland to acoustic shock waves stimulating the gland to have a modulated response. The modulated response is one of an adjustment in hormonal release which increases low level output, decreases high level output or stabilizes erratic output. The emitted acoustic shock waves are focused or unfocused low energy acoustic shock waves. The gland underlies the patient's skin. The shock wave generator is acoustically coupled to the patient's skin using a coupling gel or liquid. The gland is one of a testicle, ovary, pituitary gland, adrenal gland, thyroid gland, thymus, pineal gland, parathyroid, or hypothalamus. The method can be repeated one or more times.

  • Patent number: 11392306
Abstract: Memory of a storage system is made available (i.e., exposed) for use as host memory of a host, for example, as an extension of the main memory of the host. The host may be directly connected to an internal fabric of the data storage system. Portions of the storage system memory (SSM) may be allocated for use as host memory, and this may be communicated to the host system. The host OS and applications executing thereon then may make use of the SSM as if it were memory of the host system, for example, as second-tier persistent memory. The amount of SSM made available may be dynamically increased and decreased. The SSM may be accessed by the host system as memory; i.e., in accordance with memory-based instructions, for example, using remote direct memory access instructions. The SSM may be write protected using mirroring, vaulting and other techniques.

  • Patent number: 11394134
Abstract: A camlock electrical connector has a first connector member with a bottom platform having an opening and an upstanding wall. Pin elements extend outwardly from the wall and a cable connector extends outwardly from and externally of the wall. A second connector member has a connector body with a fulcrum peg extending downwardly from the body. The peg is inserted into the opening in the platform, such that the second connector member is rotatable in relation to the first connector member. When electrical wiring is positioned between the wall of the first connector and the body of the second connector member, rotation of the second connection member and its peg in relation to the first connection member causes the pin elements to pierce the electrical wiring, thereby securing the wiring to the electrical connector.

  • Patent number: 11393476
Abstract: Implementations relate to determining a language for speech recognition of a spoken utterance, received via an automated assistant interface, for interacting with an automated assistant. In various implementations, audio data indicative of a voice input that includes a natural language request from a user may be applied as input across multiple speech-to-text (“STT”) machine learning models to generate multiple candidate speech recognition outputs. Each STT machine learning model may trained in a particular language. For each respective STT machine learning model of the multiple STT models, the multiple candidate speech recognition outputs may be analyzed to determine an entropy score for the respective STT machine learning model. Based on the entropy scores, a target language associated with at least one STT machine learning model of the multiple STT machine learning models may be selected. The automated assistant may respond to the request using the target language.

  • Patent number: 11394548
Abstract: Methods, media, and systems for secure provisioning of servers within a cloud computing environment are provided for herein. In some embodiments, a management service can delegate provisioning of a server of the cloud computing environment to an imaging service. In response, the imaging service can generate an operating system image for the server and can utilize disk encryption to protect to operating system image. In embodiments, a volume encryption key of the disk encryption can be encrypted utilizing a public key of a trusted platform manager of the server, to produce an encrypted volume encryption key that is protected by the trusted platform module of the server. The encrypted operating system image and the encrypted volume encryption key can then be transmitted to the server to cause the server to be provisioned with the operating system image. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed herein.

  • Patent number: 11390787
Abstract: Thermal interface materials may be enhanced through the dispersion of refined boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs) into a polymer matrix material and one or more microfillers. A refined BNNT material may be formed by reducing free boron particle content from an as-synthesized BNNT material, and in some embodiments reducing h-BN content. Reducing these species improves the thermal conductivity of the BNNTs. Refined BNNTs may be deagglomerated to reduce the size and mass of BNNTs in agglomerations when the deagglomerated BNNT material is dispersed into a target polymer matrix material. The deagglomerated BNNT material may be lyophilized prior to dispersion in the matrix material, to retain the deagglomeration benefit following return to solid state. The surface of the deagglomerated BNNT material may be modified, with one or more functional groups that improve dispersibility and heat transfer in the target polymer matrix material.
