  • Patent number: 11392124
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide for a method of calibrating a vehicle's plurality of detection systems. To calibrate a first detection system, orientation data is collected using the first detection device when the vehicle faces a first direction and a second direction opposite the first direction. To calibrate a second detection system, data is collected using the second detection device while the vehicle moves in a repeatable pattern near a first object. To calibrate a third detection system, light reflected off a second object is detected using the third detection system as the vehicle is moved towards the second object. To calibrate a fourth detection system, data collected using the second detection system and the fourth detection system is compared. To calibrate a fifth detection system, radar signals reflected off a third object is received using the fifth detection system while the vehicle moves relative to the third object.

  • Patent number: 11390254
Abstract: A motor vehicle includes apparatus for towing a trailer with a retractable drop leg. A backup camera captures a detection image with a field of view including the trailer. A vehicle controller detects an initiation of driving with the trailer being connected. A pattern memory prestores at least one image pattern indicative of an extended position or a retracted position of the drop leg. An image scanner receives the detection image when the initiation of driving is detected, wherein the image scanner compares the detection image and the at least one image pattern to detect whether the drop leg is in the extended position. A notification device responsive to the image scanner alerts a driver if the extended position is detected.

Abstract: Technology is disclosed for selecting at least one people highlight, with respect to a person of interest, to be shown on one or more user devices. The user device is monitored to determine a user interest in a person of interest. A set of possible people highlights, with respect to the person of interest is determined. A determination is made as to whether any of the possible people highlights should be suppressed and not presented to the user on the user device. Any people highlights that were determined to be people highlights that should be suppressed and not presented are removed to create a remaining set of possible people highlights. At least one of the remaining set of possible people highlights are presented on the user device.

  • Patent number: 11389216
Abstract: The device has a body with holes to accept the bone screws. The bone screws have a layer of bioresorbable material on a surface portion of the head of the screw contiguous with the shaft. Engagement between the bone screws and the body is initially through the bioresorbable material, which engagement rigidly fixes the relative angular orientation between the bone screws and the body when the device is applied to a bone. As the bioresrobable material is resorbed the angular relation between the bone screws and the body is no longer rigidly fixed, thereby effecting a transformation from rigid osteosynthesis to flexible osteosynthesis to allow micromotion between the bone fragments which promotes healing.

  • Patent number: 11389333
Abstract: An earpiece, earphone, earbud or earplug includes an inflatable element operatively attached to a distal end by an inflation channel, and an anti-distal end of the inflation channel that provides a pressuring force via fluid transfer of a fluid to maintain an expansion of the inflatable element. The inflatable element can be pressurized to a gauge pressure range between 0.05 bar and 3.0 bar. In some embodiments, the inflatable element is pressurized to a gauge pressure range from 0.3 bar to 0.25 bar and maintains such gauge pressure range for at least 12 hours. In some embodiments, the inflatable element uses a material of a predetermined permeability for a given density of fluid and a given thickness of the inflatable element such that an inflation pressure drops from 1.2 atmospheres to 1 atmospheres in 8 hours after the inflatable element is pressurized to 1.2 atmospheres. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11395128
Abstract: A method for steering a mobile device to a preferred network, such as a Private LTE network or a 5G network, in a scenario in which the coverage area of the preferred network overlaps the coverage area of a non-preferred network. A preferred network list is provisioned into a SIM/eSIM module at the mobile device side. The steering application is hosted at the home network and periodically triggers the home network to request from the visited network a set of values for attributes associated with a current location of the mobile device. Based on these values, the steering application determines whether the mobile device is within the coverage area of the preferred network and, if so, directs the home network to send a cancel location request to the non-preferred visited network, thereby triggering the mobile device to attach to the preferred network.

  • Patent number: 11392557
Abstract: A method and a server system for creating consistent snapshots in a distributed storage system are disclosed. The server system stores entities in databases that includes a production portion for storing current versions of entities and a backup portion for storing backup versions of modified entities, receives a request for a snapshot of a portion of the databases at a predefined snapshot time. In response to the request, the server system generates a snapshot of the databases, the snapshot including: a backup version of an entity retrieved from the backup portion and a current version of another entity retrieved from the databases and produces a response to the request based on the snapshot. When there are several backup portions, a backup portion may be used separately or in conjunction with other backup portions to provide required backup versions to generate a snapshot.
