    Abstract: According to the present invention, a process which comprises bringing polyethylene terephthalate having an intrinsic viscosity of at least 0.50 dl/g and a density of 1.38 g/cm.sup.3 or more into contact with water is provided.In the water-treated polyethylene terephthalate obtained in the present invention, amounts of oligomers and acetaldehyde formed at the time of molding said polyethylene terephthalate into molded articles are small, and the contamination of the mold therewith is difficult to occur and further the contents of said molded articles does not change in flavour and fragrance.

    Abstract: Herein disclosed is a binder for dry toners which comprises a copolymer resin obtained by reacting 10 to 50% by weight of a polyester resin which has free carboxyl groups, whose acid value ranges from 10 to 100 and whose number-average molecular weight ranges from 1,000 to 5,000 and 90 to 50% by weight of a mixture of a vinyl compound having a glycidyl group and the an another vinyl compound, wherein the amount of the vinyl compound having a glycidyl group corresponds to the number of the glycidyl groups equal to 0.25 to 1.5 time that of the carboxyl groups present in the polyester resin. The binder for dry toners is used in the electrophotography technique.

    Abstract: A ventilation apparatus for a container for transporting goods by truck or ship. The walls of the container are provided with an inlet opening and an outlet opening, and an inlet unit is connected to the inlet opening and an outlet unit is connected to the outlet opening. The outlet unit is provided with a battery-operated fan for a forced ventilation of the container, temperature sensors are provided for detecting the inner wall temperature and inner air temperature, and a degree of change in the wall temperature per unit of time is calculated for operating the fan when the degree of change in the wall temperature is larger than a predetermined value. Furthermore, the difference between the inner air temperature and the wall temperature is calculated, and the fan is operated when that difference is larger than a predetermined value.

The high polymer network is characterized in suitable flexibility and hydrolyzability and thus useful as a material for absorbing of oils and body fluids, screens for sunlight, heat-insulating materials, filter media and packaging materials; and does not accumulate as industrial wastes because of hydrolyzability in the natural environment, even though abandoned after use.

    Abstract: A hot compress structure comprising a flat bag having no opening and having one surface constituted by a gas-permeable film, and a heating composition capable of generating heat in the presence of air and sealed in the interior of the flat bag, with a compress layer being provided on the other surface side of the flat bag, the gas-permeable film having a moisture permeability of 100 to 400 g/m.sup.2.24 hr as measured according to an ASTM method (E-96-80D method). When this hot compress structure is brought into close contact with the human body, the heat generated from the heating composition is transferred to the whole skin surface of an affected part uniformly through the compress layer and a safe temperature not causing a low-temperature burn is maintained for a long time; besides, by the generation of heat, a local blood circulation is accelerated to improve a local metabolism.

C./minute by differential scanning thermal analysis is indicated by a substantially single peak, the aforesaid molded articles being obtained by heating, melting and molding a substantially syndiotactic homopolymer of propylene, a substantially syndiotactic copolymer of propylene and a small amount of another olefin, or a mixture of these polymers and a small amount of a substantially isotactic polypropylene, and then subjecting the molded products to a heat treatment. Furthermore, a method for preparing the above-mentioned molded articles is also provided. The molded articles have high stiffness and impact resistance.
