Abstract: Disclosed herein is an electrophotographic toner composition produced by using a low-melt-viscosity and high-strength resin. The present invention provides a toner which fixes at low heat and has high strength and therefore, is suitable for high-speed copying machines and lower-heat copying machines. The resultant benefits of the present invention are that the lowest limit of the fixing temperature is low, non-offset range is wide and picture properties are good. The electrophotographic toner composition can, therefore, provide stable pictures even when fixed at low heat.

Abstract: A road void search radar system includes a rotary encoder, a radar controller, an analyzer, and a recording unit. The rotary encoder generates a pulse signal having a period corresponding to a predetermined distance interval traveled by a vehicle. The radar controller outputs a wave every time the pulse signal is supplied from the rotary encoder. The analyzer analyzes an underground state by processing the output signal received from the radar controller. The recording unit records digital data signals and analyzes results.
Abstract: There is disclosed a homoplymer of an alkenylsilane having a syndiotactic structure and a copolymer of the alkenylsilane and an .alpha.-olefin. The polymer and the copolymer can be prepared by subjecting the alkenylsilane or the alkenylsilane and the .alpha.-olefin to addition polymerization in the presence of a transition metal compound having asymmetirically interconnected ligands or preferably in the presence of the transition metal compound and aluminoxane. The polymer and the copolymer can be used as a nucleating agent for a crystalline polypropylene.

Abstract: An improved method for underwater reclamation is disclosed. Dredged mud sent under pressure by an earth and sand conveying device is treated with solidifying material, and before it is solidified, it is directly fed to an underwater reclaiming apparatus. The treated mud is fed through a discharge port of the underwater reclaiming apparatus, while the discharge port is always maintained embedded at a constant depth in a previously deposited underwater reclamation mud layer at the bottom of the water. An apparatus for underwater reclamation that is suitable for practicing the improved method is also disclosed.
Abstract: A degradable polymer network obtained by adding from 0.2 to 10 parts by weight of a foaming agent to 100 parts by weight of a polylactic acid-base resin composition comprising from 80 to 100% by weight of polylactic acid or a lactic acid-hydroxycarboxylic acid copolymer and from 0 to 20% by weight of a plasticizer, conducting melt-foaming extrusion of resulting mixture, and opening the foam cells in the extrudate. The high polymer network is characterized in suitable flexibility and hydrolyzability and thus useful as a material for absorbing oils and body fluids, screens for sunlight, heat-insulating materials, filter media and packaging materials; and does not accumulate as industrial wastes because of hydrolyzability in the natural environment, even though abandoned after use.
