  • Patent number: 4894790
Abstract: An apparatus for automatic inspection of printed circuit board assemblies inspects for the correct presence, positioning, and orientation of component parts mounted on a base printed circuit board by processing an image which is obtained from the base printed circuit board mounted with these component parts. In this method for inputting reference printed circuit board assembly data to such an apparatus, a reference base printed circuit board is prepared with reference component parts mounted on it in which the visual distinction between the reference base printed circuit board and these reference component parts is clear, and then an image is obtained from this reference base printed circuit board assembly, and this image is then processed in order to obtain the reference printed circuit board assembly data. Thereby laborious keying in of such reference printed circuit board assembly data is avoided, and the occurrence of errors is minimized.

  • Patent number: 4883929
Abstract: A barrier assembly includes an intermediate barrier member which is inserted from the front side of a mounting panel and a fixing barrier member which is inserted from the rear side of the panel and connected to the intermediate barrier member. After a plurality of small-sized controlling devices has been secured to the mounting panel, the intermediate barrier member is inserted into the area between each pair of adjacent controlling devices from the front side of the panel. Then, the fixing barrier member is inserted into this area from the rear side of the panel and connected to the intermediate barrier member. Thus, it is possible to prevent the intermediate barrier member from being pulled out forward of the panel and also from being withdrawn rearward of the panel by virture of the fitting engagement with the fixing barrier member. It is possible to remove the two barrier members toward the opposite directions, from which they are inserted when assembled, by disengaging them from each other.

  • Patent number: 4880012
Abstract: An ultrasonic probe having a vibrator which generates and receives ultrasonic waves is disclosed. The probe includes a first acoustic lens layer provided on the emergent/incident surface of the probe and a second acoustic lens layer provided on the first acoustic lens layer, the second acoustic lens layer having an attenuation constant which is different from that of the first acoustic lens layer. Accordingly, it is possible to make uniform the ultrasonic attenuation factor at various points of the acoustic lens while minimizing the attenuation factor at each of the points. Thus, it is possible to focus acoustic beams and hence obtain a clear ultrasonic image.

  • Patent number: 4879649
Abstract: A memory (9) in a transaction processing apparatus comprises a unit price data storage area 91 for storing PLU codes and unit price data corresponding to the PLU codes in addition to a PLU file (4). A CPU (5) in the transaction processing apparatus accesses the unit price data storage area (91) when a PLU code is entered from a keyboard (6), determines whether or not the same code as the entered PLU code exists in the unit price data storage area (91) and then, reads out data from the PLU file (4) in response to the PLU code. If and when the same PLU codes as the entered PLU code exists in the unit price data storage area (91), the CPU (5) registors data excluding the unit price data, of the data read out from the PLU file (4) and the unit price data corresponding to the PLU code stored in the unit price data storage area (91).

  • Patent number: 4877930
Abstract: A sealed push-button switch which includes a switching mechanism including a terminal, a case including a space for housing the switching mechanism, and a base which is fixed to the case. A frame for housing the terminal is fixed to the base, and a melted resin material is injected into the frame and set to fix the terminal. When the melted resin is injected into the frame, the air in the case is heated and made to expand by the resin. However, the expanded air leaks out through an air passage which is formed through the case of the base. Air bubbles are accordingly prevented from developing in the resin.
