Abstract: An electronic sensor and key operated lock are disclosed which provides users with the option to use at least one of a manually operated mechanism or for example a biometric sensor to unlock the lock. The lock integrates both the manually operated mechanism and a biometric sensor into one device. The manually operated mechanism and a biometric sensor are coupled to a common toggle switch so that operation of at least one of the manually operated mechanism and the biometric sensor moves the toggle switch and a shackle from locked and unlocked positions.
Abstract: Systems and methods for storing fluid are described. In some embodiments, a system may include a container having an internal volume that is configured to change as fluid enters or exits, a first shell component, and a second shell component. The first shell component may limit an expansion of the container in a first direction, and the second shell component may limit the expansion of the container in a second direction that is opposite the first direction.
Abstract: A computerized product promotion system for use in a store is provided. The system comprises one or more processors configured to receive a plurality of captured images of a shopper in a current shopping session in the store and process the plurality of captured images to determine one or more products selected by the shopper during the current shopping session. The one or more processors are further configured to determine an identity of at least one target product, selected by a product prediction model, that is estimated to have a threshold minimum likelihood of being purchased by the shopper during a remainder of the current shopping session. The product prediction model receives as input the one or more products selected by the shopper during the current shopping session, and outputs the identity of the at least one target product.
Abstract: A memory apparatus and method of operation are provided. The apparatus includes memory cells connected to word lines and arranged in strings. Each of the strings has a drain-side select gate transistor on a drain-side connected to one of a plurality of bit lines. A control means is coupled to the word lines and the plurality of bit lines and the drain-side select gate transistors. The control means determines a unique select gate voltage for each of a plurality of groupings of the memory cells that is individually adapted for each of the plurality of groupings. The control means then applies the unique select gate voltage to the drain-side select gate transistor of selected ones of the strings of each of the plurality of groupings of the memory cells to turn on the drain-side select gate transistor of the selected ones of the strings during a memory operation.
Abstract: An ion source includes an electron generator, an ionization chamber, and a magnetic field. The electron generator is configured to produce electrons. The ionization chamber has an electron entrance aperture through a first wall, an ion exit aperture through a second wall, and an axis. The ionization chamber is configured to produce ions. The magnetic field is arranged to confine electrons in a beam directed through the electron entrance aperture, in a direction within 45 degrees of parallel to the axis, and towards a location displaced from the ion exit aperture.

Abstract: An aerosol generating material is disclosed containing a reconstituted cocoa bean husk material. The reconstituted material can contain extracted cocoa husk fibers in combination with web building fibers, such as softwood fibers. The reconstituted cocoa husk material is capable of generating an aerosol, such as a smoke, that has a very mild and neutral taste without any harsh components. The reconstituted cocoa husk material contains no nicotine and produces lower tar than conventional tobacco materials. The material can be used as a carrier for delivering various active agents in an aerosol generated by the material in a controlled, consistent and uniform manner.
Abstract: A cosmetics applicator made of plastic and having a bristle carrier and having bristles integrally bonded therewith as a single part, whereas the bristle carrier being a permanent magnet while the bristles as such are non-magnetic, characterized in that the bristle carrier comprises a core made of a first plastic filled with magnetic particles and forming an interface at least at the outer circumference thereof, said interface being enclosed by a layer of a second, non-magnetic plastic, wherein the first and the second plastic are preferably welded to each other and the second plastic is preferably harder than the first plastic, and wherein the second plastic is integrally connected to the bristles as a single piece.

Abstract: This document relates to natural language processing using a framework such as a neural network. One example method involves obtaining a first document and a second document and propagating attention from the first document to the second document. The example method also involves producing contextualized semantic representations of individual words in the second document based at least on the propagating. The contextualized semantic representations can provide a basis for performing one or more natural language processing operations.

Abstract: A system of specifying link layer information in a URL is described. In an embodiment, a URL is generated which includes both a link layer network type and information which is used by a resolving device to identify a particular link layer network of the specified type. In various embodiments, the URL includes a link layer network type and a corresponding link layer network name or pairs of link layer network types and corresponding link layer network names. Where the URL comprises more than one link layer network name, the resolving device may determine at runtime which of the named link layer networks to connect to and this decision may be based on criteria or preference information included within the URL.
