Abstract: A transfer apparatus for bag packages in a packaging machine has a pair of tongs with jaws for transferring a flat bag which is delivered in a vertical plane, to bag holders of a conveyor apparatus on a path extending transversely to the plane (I) in which the bags are delivered. For quiet operation, which also needs little readjustment or supervision, the jaws are actuated via connecting rods and a lever mechanism. The tongs are rotatably supported on a pivot arm which is pivotable coaxially with the axis of rotation of the crank of the lever mechanism.
Abstract: A toy formed as a small vehicle which is propelled from a simulated explosive such as dynamite. The simulated dynamite is inserted in the rear of the toy. The toy vehicle is released from the simulated explosive by a cable attached to a plunger type detonator. The insertion of the simulated dynamite into the vehicle compresses a spring which drives the vehicle away from the simulated dynamite on actuation of a release mechanism.
Abstract: The invention comprehends a novel, adjustable, flexible inserter head having a double lumen fluid feed via a hand pump from a reservoir means. The invention includes spring means to protect the outlet of fluid from collapse of the head cover by disposition over an internal outlet rod through which the cryogenic fluid exits to the reservoir. The stationary rod can be replaced so as to shorten the inserter and vary the original extended, slim head cover to a blunter, stouter configuration.
Abstract: To reliably distinguish between knocking signals derived from an internal combustion engine knock sensor from all the other signals likewise derived from the knock sensor, which includes background noise signals, statistically distributed disturbance signals and the like, a correlation signal is generated, and the received signal is correlated with the correlation signal, which is cyclically varying at an average frequency which is of the frequency of the expected knocking signal, or a whole number multiple thereof. An output recognition is provided upon correlation between the correlation signal and the signal from the knocking sensor. The system can be implemented by a signal generator (6, 61, 62; 63) which provides the correlation signal, correlation being effected by an AND-gate (7, 71, 72; 73), or by software in a microprocessor in which an incoming knocking signal is interrogated in cadence with cyclical variation at the frequency which is the expected knocking frequency of the engine.
Abstract: By varying the supply voltage, the output current is adjusted. The push-pull amplifier comprises two branches I, II, each having at least one transistor of the identical conductivity type, the emitters of which are connected with one another and, via a resistor (38, 118), with one pole of the supply voltage source, and the collectors of which are connected with the end terminals (34, 35; 107, 108) of a transformer coil, and one biasing circuit comprising two resistors in a series circuit, the junction points (J1, J2) of which are connected to the bases of the transistors. The common emitter current is varied virtually exclusively by means of varying the supply voltage, and upon a variation of the supply voltage, the sum of the currents in the two resistor networks are substantially independent of the supply voltage established.
Abstract: In a hand-held machine tool, a housing formed of two shells accommodates an electric motor, a motor bearing assembly and electric structural components. A brush-side motor bearing includes a bearing support which carries thereon the electric structural components, such as carbon brush holders, chokes for spark quenching, an inductive receiver and light-emitting diodes. The bearing support can be preassembled with these structural components outside the housing and inserted into one of the housing shells.
Abstract: To increase the resolution of digital words, for example eight-bit words, being supplied via a digital/analog (D/A) converter (2) to a closed control loop, the lowest-order bit (2a) is chopped with a duty cycle, that is, controlled pulse duration/pulse gap ratio, for accurate resolution of the entire word being transmitted. The D/A converter will provide an output of undulating or wavy form, which undulations or waves are averaged or integrated by a low-pass filter (5) or low-pass transmission characteristics of a controller (6) or the overall control loop (4-6-7-8-9-10-11-4) to which the analog signal is applied as a command signal.

Abstract: To increase the spark energy being transferred from a spark plug to a fuel-air mixture, so that the maximum energy transfer occurs during the initial breakdown phase and electrode deterioration at the spark plug is prevented upon occurrence of subsequent arc conduction and glow phases, an inductive circuit is connected in parallel to the spark gap which is so dimensioned that the inductance has a time constant which inhibits substantial current flow through the shunt circuit upon breakdown of the spark gap, but permits flow of current during an arc and glow phase of the spark at the spark gap through the shunt circuit so that energy is drained from the spark gap during the plasma and glow phase.
Abstract: A fuel injection pump of the distributor pump type is proposed, in which the fuel quantity is governed with the aid of an annular slide displaceable on the pump piston. The annular slide is shifted by an electromechanical final control element. The shifting is effected via a shaft to which a connecting element is connected with an eccentricity (E); the connecting element is coupled to the annular slide. For balancing the mass of the thus eccentrically articulated annular slide, a counterweight is secured on the shaft.
Abstract: To provide an easily manufactured and easily connected heater element for a tubular ion-conductive body (26) forming a sensing element (24) of the oxygen sensor, the heater element (35) comprises a plate-like substrate (36) of insulating material, e.g. ceramic, which, at its inner end is wider than at the end fitting into the inside of the tubular ion-conductive body, the conductors leading to the heater being formed as conductive tracks spaced apart from each other by a greater distance at the inner end, adjacent connection zones (37/3), than close to the heater zone (37/1), the plate-like substrate, at the inner portion, being essentially trapezoidal and terminating in an end edge (36') which forms the wider side of the trapezoid.
Abstract: In a power-driven, hand-held tool provided with a pneumatic motor, the stator of the motor is comprised of a central tube of steel and two end flanges of plastics applied onto the central tube by injection molding. The impeller rotor of the motor is supported within the stator and assembled with the stator to form a complete motor assembly which is supported within the cylindrical housing of the tool by means of elastic rings which protect the tool against oscillations. The motor assembly can be assembled and tested outside the tool housing.

Abstract: An arrangement for regulating the idling rotational speed of an internal combustion engine includes a comparison stage which compares the actual and the desired rotational speed, an idling operation filling regulation device connected to the output of the comparison stage, including at least a proportional region, and controlling an electrically manipulated adjustment member for the adjustment of the amount of intake air in the idling operation position of the throttling damper, as well as an arrangement for the recognition of a jerky operation of the engine.
Abstract: An adjustment circuit for a hand-operated electric power tool includes a data input device for entering information concerning the kind of material to be treated and other information relevant to the operation of the tool. The selected binary coded address word is applied to addressing inputs of a read only memory storing control words for a controlling device for a motor of the tool. Part of the bits of a control word outputted from the ROM are applied to a display device which displays the desired or actual rotary speeds of the tool and/or other data selected by the input device.
Abstract: A fuel injection pump of the distributor type is proposed, in which the injection quantity is controlled by controlling the first outlet cross section D of a first relief line and the stroke-offset outlet C of a second relief line for the pump work chamber of the fuel injection pump by means of a control edge that is variable in accordance with load and/or rpm. To attain nonsupply of fuel within the intended supply stroke of the pump piston during idling and at low partial load, communication between the first and second relief lines is provided. The communication exists only for the duration of a predetermined stroke portion (h.sub.e) and is additionally controlled in accordance with load and/or rpm by controlling the following outlet of the second relief line, so that from a predetermined upper load range to full-load operation, the entire fuel quantity pumped by the pump piston over the effective supply stroke does in fact become injected.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for injecting fuel directly into the combustion chambers of an internal combustion engine in which a hydraulic threshold switch is provided which detects the pressure reversal of the pressure course at the end of fuel pumping by a fuel injection pump to a fuel injection valve; upon the attainment of a threshold value of the decreasing pressure, fuel is diverted into a relief chamber to effect a rapid decrease of pressure.
Abstract: A device for controlling and/or regulating current flowing through an electromagnetic consumer, particularly in a control system of an internal combustion engine, is based on the separation of the control of current intensity through the consumer from the control of the direction of this current. This separation is achieved by the provision of a bridge circuit of four current amplifying units whose one diagonal branch is formed by the electromagnetic consumer and the other diagonal branch is formed by a series connection of power source an additional current controlling unit and a measuring resistor. The additional current controlling unit is controlled by a separate current intensity control signal whereas the bridge circuit is controlled by another, current polarity control signal.

Abstract: A high quality TV transmission system is devised including a preprocessing circuit controlled by motion present in the scene to be transmitted. In the absence of motion, processing circuit derives output picture field signals of a standard frequency from a single input picture field scanned at a higher frequency. In the presence of motion, all input picture fields scanned with high number of lines are stored in storing devices and processed by interpolating low pass filters and a multiplexer into output picture fields having the standard frequency but being free of aliansing interference.
