Abstract: An electric plug connector includes a guide sleeve, a plug connector part attachable to the guide sleeve, a bayonet ring on the connector part for rotatably engaging with the guide sleeve to move between unlocked and locked positions, and a locking button arranged on the bayonet ring to slide with the ring as the ring moves. While the connector part is attached to the guide sleeve the ring locks the attachment by engaging with the guide sleeve when the ring is in its locked position. The button is displaceable relative to the guide sleeve between inactivated and activated positions. The button includes a latching hook and a pin that interact with the sleeve to enable the button to move between its inactivated and activated positions. The latching hook and the pin engage with the sleeve when the button is in its activated position to secure the locking of the attachment.
Abstract: Methods for inputting a destination in a navigation system by manually controlling an actuating device are provided. In an example method, at least the following menu items can be selected when the actuating device is actuated using a first motion type: a CHARACTER menu item provides a list of characters when selected, and a DIGIT menu item that provides a list of digits when selected. The first motion type may be used to actuate the actuating device to select one of the other non-selected menu items.
Abstract: A digital color imager providing an extended luminance range, enabling a method for an easy transformation into all other color spaces having luminance as a component. White pixels are added to hexagonal red, green and blue pixels. These white pixels can alternatively have an extended dynamic range as described by U.S. Pat. No. 6,441,852 (to Levine et al.). Especially the white pixels may have a larger size than the red, green, or blue pixels used. This larger size can be implemented by concatenation of “normal” size hexagonal white pixels. The output of said white pixels can be directly used for the luminance values Y of the destination color space. Therefore only the color values have to be calculated from the RGB values, leading to an easier and faster calculation. As an example chosen by the inventor the conversion to YCbCr color space has been shown in detail.
Abstract: The invention relates to a displacement device for displacing, in particular sliding and/or for opening and closing at least one drawer (2), lid, door or similar, which can be located in an item of furniture (3), such as for example a cupboard, in particular a kitchen cupboard, or in a vehicle, such as for example a commercial vehicle, in particular a service or emergency vehicle. Said device comprises at least one electromotive drive unit, which acts on a transmission element to displace the drawer or drawers (2), lid, door or similar. The device is provided with a guide element (5), which is displaceably mounted in a guide and on which the drive unit (4) acts.

Abstract: In a method for determining measurement errors in scattering parameter measurements, in particular for giving the measurement accuracy of a scalar or vector network analyzer, which has n measurement ports (n?1), on the basis of the measurements of the scattering parameters of at least one reference line with defined characteristic impedance, the characteristic impedance of the reference line is calculated and the reflection values of a one-port or two-port, realized by way of the reference line, are measured. The reflection values are renormalized to the known characteristic impedance of the reference line and the source match is calculated therefrom.
Abstract: A transport device for transporting a patient support panel or a medical appliance includes a drive unit, which includes a drive motor, an undercarriage having wheels rotatably mounted on it for driving the undercarriage, and a sensor unit for receiving a signal indicating the position of the transport device with respect to a predetermined path line while the transport device moves along the predetermined path line. One or more of the wheels are rotatably drivable by the drive unit, and one or more wheels are steerable.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for rapidly changing objectives with threaded fastening on an optical instrument. The object of the present invention of specifying a device which in the case of a microscope with a threaded connection for the objective substantially simplifies the interchange of the objective and greatly shortens the time required for the interexchange, is achieved by a device for removably fitting an objective with an external thread on a corresponding internal thread of an optical instrument which comprises an instrument adaptor which has at one end an external thread corresponding to the external thread of the objective, and at the other end, a bayonet mount for fixably holding a bayonet base, and comprises an objective adaptor which has at one end a bayonet base which can be connected to the bayonet mount of the instrument adaptor, and at the other end an internal thread corresponding to the internal thread of the optical instrument.
Abstract: The method serves for operating an air fractionization installation for obtaining oxygen on board an aircraft, with at least two molecular sieve chambers. A part mass flow of the oxygen obtained in the respective adsorbing molecular sieve chamber is supplied for flushing a desorbing molecular sieve chamber. The quantity of the flushing oxygen led to the desorbing molecular sieve chamber is controlled by way of this.

Abstract: A conveyor system has a pair of main conveyor belts having confronting inner stretches oriented horizontally and vertically adjacent one another parallel to a transport direction and extending through a weighing station. The belts are spaced to grip vertical sides of a succession of objects and moved to advance the objects between them in the direction through the weighing station. A weighing conveyor belt has a horizontally oriented and upwardly directed stretch between and underneath the main belts at the station. The main-belt stretches are deflected apart generally only at the station for releasing objects gripped by the main belts and setting them to rest with their full weights on the weighing belt in the weighing station. The weighing belt moves to advance the objects through the weighing station. This way the objects on the weighing belt can be individually weighed.
Abstract: A method and an apparatus are provided which make it possible, when testing chips arranged on a wafer, to be able to test optionally both additional components arranged on horizontal boundary lines and on vertical boundary lines. The additional components arranged on horizontal boundary lines are tested in a first position of the wafer. For testing the additional components arranged on vertical boundary lines, the wafer is rotated about its vertical axis through 90° relative to the first position into a second position. The apparatus comprises a housing and, in the housing, at least one test probe for making contact with an electronic component, a chuck for moving the wafer and a rotatably mounted additional plate operatively connected to the chuck.
Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle door having a lining that faces the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle. The lining can be joined to a bracket inside of which an actuating lever is mounted in a manner that enables it to swivel around a pin. A gap is provided at least in areas between the actuating lever and the lining. In addition, the pin is joined to the lining via fixing bearings.

Abstract: A system that collects parametric information that reflects local weather conditions receives signals from sensors. The signals are transmitted to a server that combines the information contained within the signals with weather data to determine local weather conditions and develop forecasts. The local weather conditions and forecasts may be transmitted to a vehicle and may be combined with navigation information to optimize travel routes.
Abstract: Digital miniature cameras and methods to manufacture thereof have been achieved. Said miniature cameras having an adjustable focusing device are intended to be used as a built-in modules in hand-held consumer electronic devices, such as e.g. mobile phones and PDAs. The cameras invented have a very small size and produce high-quality pictures. Glue is used to hold different parts together and to seal the joints. The lens is glued in the final stage of the manufacturing line, thus providing the focus setting and the sealing of the cavity that covers the image sensor. A glob top is used to cover and seal the image processor. Said glob top serves two different purposes, first, to distribute the heat away from the sensor and, second, to lock the frame, together with the lens house, into a printed circuit board. In one embodiment a cavity PCB is used to “bury” the sensor of the camera, thus reducing the overall height required.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for the correction of defective solder bump arrays arranged in a plurality of cavities in a mold. In the method, a faulty solder bump is searched, identified and located (i.e., its position is determined) in an arrangement of solder bumps disposed in cavities of a mold and the faulty solder bump is subsequently replaced by a prefabricated solder bump. The apparatus for carrying out the method comprises a mold holder, a scanning and locating device for finding and locating faulty solder bumps and a repair device for replacing the faulty solder bump by a prefabricated solder bump.
