  • Patent number: 11263583
Abstract: Load cells measure the weight of items on a shelf. Weight changes occur as items are picked from or placed to the fixture. Information about these weight changes is used to determine an estimated location on the shelf of a weight change. Hypotheses are generated using information about where particular types of items are stowed, the weights of those particular types of items, information about the weight changes, and the estimated locations of the weight changes. A model is used to produce confidence values in the hypotheses based on a change in weight measured at a first side and a change in weight measured at a second side of the shelf. A hypothesis with a confidence value that exceeds the threshold may be selected and used to determine interaction data indicative of a quantity picked or placed, type of item, and location on the shelf.

The controller is configured to determine a first voltage offset based on one or more of a wear-level indication of the non-volatile memory device, or one or more voltage parameters of the non-volatile memory device. The controller is configured to determine, based on the first voltage offset, an adjusted read level voltage. The controller is configured to apply the adjusted read level voltage to a wordline of the non-volatile memory device. The controller is configured to read data, based on the applied adjusted read level voltage, from the wordline of the non-volatile memory device.

Abstract: Described are systems and techniques to generate data for display to present visualizations of data acquired from sensors in a facility. The data visualizations may be used to develop, configure, administer, or otherwise support operation of the facility. In one implementation, the visualization may include a view incorporating aggregated images acquired from multiple cameras, depth data, tracking information about objects in the facility, and so forth. An analyst may use the data visualization to determine occurrence of an action in the facility such as a pick of an item, place of an item, what item was involved with an action, what user was involved with the action, and so forth. Based on the information presented by the data visualization, changes may be made to data processing parameters.

  • Patent number: 11264562
Abstract: A magnetic memory device includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and a layer stack located between the first electrode and the second electrode. The layer stack includes a reference layer, a tunnel barrier layer, a free layer, and a magnetoelectric multiferroic layer including at least one crystalline grain. The magnetization of the magnetoelectric multiferroic layer may be axial, canted, or in-plane. For axial or canted magnetization of the magnetoelectric multiferroic layer, a deterministic switching of the free layer may be achieved through coupling with the axial component of magnetization of the magnetoelectric multiferroic layer. Alternatively, the in-plane magnetization of the magnetoelectric multiferroic layer may be employed to induce precession of the magnetization angle of the free layer.

  • Patent number: 11262944
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for utilizing rules for placement of objects in storage in a manner that improves retrieval times relative to a default ordering utilized by an object storage system. For example, a request to store an object in a persistent storage of a data storage system may be received, metadata associated with the request may then be parsed to identify a signal for placement of the object within the persistent storage, and a rule may be identified for placement of objects associated with that signal, such as by indicating a desired grouping or ordering of objects associated with the signal. A particular storage location for the object may then be determined within the persistent storage based at least in part on the signal, the rule, and previously determined storage locations of one or more other data objects associated with the signal.

  • Patent number: 11260536
Abstract: A simulated emotional state of a device is generated and maintained based on previous emotional state and contextual information. A trigger is associated with an effect value. For example, successful completion of a task may have an effect value of +5 while task failure may have an effect value of ?6. Upon occurrence of a trigger, an associated effect value of the trigger may be combined with a previously determined effect value to determine a function input value (FIV). The FIV is used as input to a function that provides an emotion value as output. The emotion value may then be used as input to determine a particular action. For example, if the emotion value corresponds to “happy”, the resulting action may be presenting an animation of a smile on a display device. As triggers occur, the function input value is updated, resulting in updates to the emotion value.

  • Patent number: 11265469
Abstract: A device has a camera that is moveable by one or more actuators. During operation the camera moves. For example, the camera may move to follow a user as they move within the physical space. Mechanical limitations result in the camera movement exhibiting discontinuities, such as small jerks or steps from one orientation to another while panning. If the camera is acquiring video data while moving, the resulting video data may appear jittery and be unpleasant for a user to view. An offset is determined between an intended orientation of the camera at a specified time and an actual orientation of the camera at that time. A portion of raw image data acquired at the specified time is cropped using the offset to produce cropped image data that is free from jitter due to the movement discontinuities.
