Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure propose an Erasing-based Lossless Floating-point compression method, i.e., Elf. The main idea of Elf is to erase the last few bits (i.e., set them to zero) of floating-point values, so the XORed values are supposed to contain many trailing zeros, where the erased bits are determined based on the decimal place count and the digits on the exponent bits.

Abstract: A method for detecting a two-qubit correlated dephasing error includes accessing a signal of a quantum system, where the quantum system includes a plurality of qubits. Every qubit has a nonzero rate of dephasing and some qubits have a nonzero rate of correlated dephasing. The signal further includes information about a matrix that includes diagonal elements and off-diagonal elements. The off-diagonal elements of the matrix are 2s-sparse. The method further includes performing randomized measurements of the off-diagonal elements of the matrix and recovering the matrix based on a direct measurement of the diagonal elements of the matrix.

Abstract: Two rhodamine reversible fluorescent sensor derivatives, L1 and L2, bearing 2-methoxy-1-naphthaldehyde and 5-bromo-3-methoxy salicylaldehyde units were synthesized using microwave-assisted organic synthesis and used for selective and sensitive reversible sequential fluorescence detection of aluminum ion (Al3+) and azide (N3?) in aqueous acetonitrile solution via the fluorescence spectral changes. Stoichiometry and binding mechanisms for both sensors are well characterized and established by the respective spectroscopic techniques. L1 and L2 sensors are useful for the analysis of Al3+ and N3? in environmental samples and biological studies.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a negative torsion variable paddle and a control assembly thereof. The paddle includes rigid first paddles and rigid second paddles. When a driver pushes a root railing edge, the first paddle is not flexibly deformed, and the second paddle is torsionally deformed with a laminated elastomer structure between cascades to realize relative rotation at both ends of the second paddle, so that a flexible skin maintains airfoil contours, and the whole torsional degree of the paddle is changed. The present disclosure also provides a rotor craft including the negative torsion variable paddle.

Abstract: The construction method of NALU (Network Abstraction Layer Unit) for IPv6 label switching and its using algorithms of video encoding, QoS control, and decoding are provided. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the NALU format is composed of the NALH (Network Abstraction Layer Header) including the label and the NAL (Network Abstraction Layer) payload. Here, the label is determined based on layer information which is combination of a spatial scalable level, a temporal scalable level, and a quality scalable level of the encoded data. The decoder uses the label to decide which one of multiple decoding modules is used to decode the current NAL payload. Moreover, the label can be included in the packet header so that the MANE (Media Aware Network Element) can use the label to decide whether to forward the packet or drop it. For example, the label in the packet header can be used for QoS control of video service by using the flow label field in IPv6 packet header.
