  • Patent number: 12292516
Abstract: A global navigation satellite system (GNSS) spoofing detection and classification technique is provided. An optimization problem is formulated at the baseband correlator domain by using an optimization algorithm such as the Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) algorithm, for example. A model of correlator tap outputs of the intended received signal is created to form a dictionary of pre-computed waveform functions (e.g., triangle-like-shaped functions). Sparse signal processing can be leveraged to choose a decomposition of pre-computed waveform functions from the dictionary. The optimal solution of this minimization problem can discriminate the presence of a potential spoofing attack peak by observing the decomposition of two different code-phase values (authentic and spoofed) in a sparse vector output. A threshold can be used to mitigate false alarms. Furthermore, a variation of the minimization problem can be provided that enhances the dictionary to a higher resolution.

  • Patent number: 12292406
Abstract: Devices for detecting an analyte in a sample suspected of containing the analyte, are provided. The devices include bio-functional, nanostructured, isoporous membranes (BNIM) integrated organic electrochemical transistor (OECT), herein BNIM-OECT, for the rapid and sensitive detection of the presence of an analyte of interest, in a sample, for example, a biological sample. The membrane (i.e., BNIM) is physically separated from the OECT channel therefore the electronic device can be used multiple times. The isoporous membrane is functionalized to include a binding partner for the analyte being detected. The BNIM-OECT can be used for disease detection, by functionalizing the BNIM-OECT with a binding partner to an analyte associated with the disease, applying a collected biological sample to the BNIM-OECT. A decrease in channel current as a result of analyte binding to its binding partner on the isoporous membrane indicates the presence of the analyte in the sample.

  • Patent number: 12292346
Abstract: The subject invention is concerned with systems and methods advantageously applying finite element analysis to establish design rules for a highly sensitive piezo-resistive pressure sensor with an output that is high enough to be detectable by simple and inexpensive circuits and therefore ensure wearability. Four frequently reported micro-feature shapes in micro-patterned piezo-resistive sensors are provided, where the micro-dome and micro-pyramid yield the highest sensitivity. Investigations of different conductivity values of micro-patterned elastomers show that coating the elastomer with a conductive material (e.g., a metallic coating) leads to higher current response when compared to composited conductive elastomers. Advantageous geometric parameters and spatial configurations of micro-pyramid design of piezo-resistive sensors are provided.
