  • Patent number: 10625676
Abstract: An interactive driving system and method that improves a driving experience by allowing a passenger to interactively monitor and evaluate certain driving maneuvers in real-time with an augmented reality interface. The input provided by the passenger via the augmented reality interface is recorded for later processing and analysis. For instance, the passenger input may be used to generate driving reports for later review by the driver and passenger (e.g., when the passenger is teaching a new driver how to drive) or for the manufacturer of autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicles (e.g., when the manufacturer is seeking actionable feedback for improving various self-driving algorithms). In addition, the interactive driving system and method entertain the passenger with the augmented reality interface, which can be delivered in a game-like fashion via a computer program product installed on their own personal electronic device (e.g., a tablet, phone, laptop, etc.).

  • Patent number: 10610782
Abstract: In an example of a game system, switching to an imaging mode is performed according to an operation performed by a player while a game is being performed. In the imaging mode, a virtual camera in a virtual space is rotated in a roll direction according to an operation performed by the player. In the game system, when rotation of the virtual camera in the roll direction represents a value greater than or equal to a predetermined threshold value, information indicating that 90 degrees rotation is to be performed is stored as rotation information of an image. In the game system, according to an instruction from the player, an image displayed on a screen at a time of the instruction, and the rotation information of the image are stored in a storage medium.

Abstract: A timed skill objective wagering system is disclosed. The timed skill objective wagering system includes an interactive controller configured to present a timed skill objective to a player, detect a successful skillful interaction by the player within a specified time period, increment a skill objective metric when the successful skillful interaction is detected, determine a skill outcome of achievement of the skill objective when the skill objective metric exceeds a threshold value, and communicate the skill outcome to a process controller. The process controller is configured to generate a chance-based outcome of an amount of credits, receive the skill outcome from the interactive controller, and determine a combined wagering outcome using the chance-based outcome and the skill outcome.

  • Patent number: 10573122
Abstract: A gaming and/or entertainment device, in the form of a coin or token-operated slot machine and/or gambling device, having a plurality of separate display units for displaying game information. At least one of the display units is provided with a touch panel for inputting control commands by touch. The touch panel is of continuous design over, in each case, at least part of at least two different display units, at least one display unit of which has a concave display surface. As a result of the touch panel extending over the boundary region or the intermediate space between two display units, it is possible, despite the use of a plurality of display units, to obtain a continuously closed-off device front. The design of the corresponding device wall is simplified and the protection against penetration into the housing at gap areas is increased.

  • Patent number: 10549198
Abstract: A method and system for verifying a client device's location in a parallel reality game hosted by a server. The client transmits its location to the server and receives verification instructions comprising a landmark and a verification pathway. The client prompts a player to capture image data of the landmark and, in response, receives a first set of image data of the landmark from an initial perspective. The client determines whether the first set of image data matches to the landmark before prompting the player to move along the verification pathway while capturing image data. The client receives a second set of image data of the landmark from a moving perspective. The client determines whether the second set of image data matches to an expected change in perspective of the landmark. Upon completion of the verification instructions, the client confirms to the server the client's location.
