    Abstract: A computer-vision based automatic inserting and playing method for advertisement analyzes a video for obtaining multiple shots of the video, and obtaining semantic information related to targets appearing in each shot and low-level information related to vision of each shot. Next, the method matches the semantic information and the low-level information of each two adjacent shots with other semantic information and other low-level information of candidate advertisements, so as to determine one or more insertion time points of the video, and one or more inserting advertisements respectively related to each of the insertion time points. The matching of the semantic information ensures the inserting advertisement and a front shot and a rear shot of the insertion time point are all related with each other, and the matching of the low-level information enhances visual fluency in playing and switching among the front shot, the inserting advertisement and the rear shot.

    Abstract: Techniques are described for leveraging column dictionaries of tables for join, group-by and expression evaluation operations. In an embodiment, a table is stored in one or more data units, each data unit's metadata containing dictionaries for stored columns. Rather than storing unencoded column values, the data units may store columns as column vectors of dictionary-encoded values, in an embodiment. When performing a join operation, a matching of values may be performed on the build-side table using the unencoded, unencoded, values stored in the join-key dictionary(s) of the probe-side table, thus, significantly reducing the number of searching and matching operations. In an embodiment, a group-by operation may be executed by performing partial aggregations based on unique group-by key values as stored in the one or more group-by key dictionaries.

    Abstract: An apparatus and a method for sensing a display panel are provided. The apparatus includes a gate driving circuit and a sensing circuit. The gate driving circuit may scan the scan-lines during a plurality of scan-line periods within a frame period. The sensing circuit is coupled to a plurality of pixel circuits. A corresponding scan-line period of the scan-line periods is divided into a test data period and a display data period. In the test data period, the sensing circuit controls a corresponding pixel circuit to receive the test data, and the sensing circuit senses the electrical characteristic of the corresponding pixel circuit. In the display data period, the sensing circuit controls the corresponding pixel circuit to receive the display data from a corresponding data line, and the sensing circuit does not sense the corresponding pixel circuit.

    Abstract: Methods for improving hybrid bond yield for semiconductor wafers forming 3DIC devices includes first and second wafers having dummy and main metal deposited and patterned during BEOL processing. Metal of the dummy metal pattern occupies from about 40% to about 90% of the surface area of any given dummy metal pattern region. High dummy metal surface coverage, in conjunction with utilization of slotted conductive pads, allows for improved planarization of wafer surfaces presented for hybrid bonding. Planarized wafers exhibit minimum topographic differentials corresponding to step height differences of less than about 400 ?. Planarized first and second wafers are aligned and subsequently hybrid bonded with application of heat and pressure; dielectric-to-dielectric, RDL-to-RDL. Lithography controls to realize WEE from about 0.5 mm to about 1.5 mm may be employed to promote topographic uniformity at wafer edges.
