  • Patent number: 9607953
Abstract: A semiconductor device package includes an isolation wall located between a first circuit and a second circuit on a substrate. The isolation wall is configured to reduce inductive coupling between the first and second circuits during operation of the semiconductor device. Encapsulation material covers the substrate, first and second circuits, and the isolation wall. The isolation wall has features, such as indentation, along its upper edge that facilitate a flow of the encapsulation material across the isolation wall during fabrication to largely eliminate interior defects and/or visual defects on the surface of the completed semiconductor device package. For a dual-path amplifier, such as a Doherty power amplifier, the isolation wall separates the carrier amplifier elements from the peaking amplifier elements included within the semiconductor device package.

  • Publication number: 20170083286
Abstract: The invention relates to a sorting method (1100), the sorting method comprising: sorting (1101) the distributed input data locally per processing node (701, 702) by deploying first processes on the processing nodes (701, 702) to produce a plurality of sorted lists on the local memory partitions (401, 402, 403, 404) of the processing nodes (701, 702); creating (1102) a sequence of range blocks (703, 704, 713, 714) on the local memory partitions of the processing nodes (701, 702), copying (1103) the plurality of sorted lists to the sequence of range blocks (703, 704, 713, 714); and reading (1105) the sorted elements from the sequence of range blocks (703, 704, 713, 714) sequentially with respect to their range to obtain the sorted input data.

  • Publication number: 20170083951
Abstract: Various aspects are disclosed for enabling an advertising server to improve profitability by selectively and dynamically discriminating between the various ad server resources which are to be allocated towards servicing different incoming impressions. The ad server may be configured or designed to dynamically evaluate the parameters of each incoming impressions in order to assess the likelihood of that incoming impression being successfully filled by demand partners and/or advertising networks. At various times when conditions warrant, the ad server may selectively and dynamically choose to throttle or drop the servicing of selected incoming ad requests/impressions in order to minimize losses which may occur as a result of servicing ad requests/impressions which result in defaults.

  • Publication number: 20170083393
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses and methods may provide for receiving one or more debug communications and programming, via a bus, a set of debug registers with debug information corresponding to the one or more debug communications. Additionally, tunnel logic hardware may be instructed to transfer the debug information from the set of debug registers to one or more test access ports of an intelligent device such as a non-volatile memory storage unit having a microcontroller. In one example, if it is detected that debug permission has been granted during a boot process, a control status register may be unlocked. If, on the other hand, the debug permission is not detected during the boot process, the control status register may be locked. Accordingly, an enable bit of the control status register may be used to activate the tunnel logic hardware only if the control status register is unlocked.

  • Publication number: 20170084246
Abstract: An electronic system having an assembly of a plurality of electronic devices each driven by a local power unit and a power sequencer control circuit for controlling the power on or off operation of the local power units. The electronic devices can be for example display units of a display wall. An advantage of such an assembly, e.g. a tiled display or display wall, is that a low level or as little energy as possible is dissipated by the local power units such as DC power supplies associated with the electronic devices, e.g. tiles of a display, and the associated “housekeeping” electronics. A further advantage is a limitation of the inrush current at start-up.

  • Patent number: 9600553
Abstract: Various systems and methods for dividing, accessing, and sending portions of a data structure from one node to another for replication from a primary site to a secondary site are disclosed. The method includes dividing a data structure into portions. The data structure stores information identifying which regions of a data volume have been modified and nodes in a cluster share access to the data volume. The nodes and the data volume are located at the primary site. The method also includes sending a first portion of the data structure to a second node in the cluster. The sending causes the second node to replicate the data identified in the portion of the data structure from the data volume to the secondary site. In one embodiment, the accessing and the sending are performed by a logowner node.

  • Publication number: 20170076240
Abstract: A control circuit for a retail sales facility presents via an active display a plurality of leaderboards that correspond to a variety of different associate-level performance statistics. These statistics can include, but are not limited to, the number of products that a given associate picks as part of moving products from a stock area to the retail sales product display area (over, for example, a given amount of time) and/or an aggregated monetary value of products that are so picked, a number of products that are so picked exclusively from a particular area of the product stock area, a number of manually-created requirements to so move products, and/or a number of products that are placed for storage in the product stock area itself. Such statistics can represent any time period of choice including, for example, a particular work shift such as a current work shift.

  • Patent number: 9594359
Abstract: A method of reducing plant emissions includes providing a MPC model for a flaring process including one-to-one models between controlled variables (CVs) including a smoke count and/or a flare count (CV1) and a noise level (CV2), and flow of assist gas as a manipulated variable (MV) and another process gas flow as a disturbance variable (DV). The MPC model receives sensed flare-related parameters during the flaring process including a measure of CV1 (CV1*) and CV2 (CV2*). Provided CV1* is above a minimum setpoint for CV1 (CV1 setpoint) and CV2* is above a setpoint for CV2 (CV2 setpoint), the flaring process is automatically controlled using the MPC model which determines an updated flow setpoint for MV from CV1* and CV2*, the CV1 and CV2 error, and the identified one-to-one models.

  • Patent number: 9596589
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed that provide for the control, by a third party, of call-related services that are provided to a wireless subscriber. For each mobile station whose calls and other communications are to be controlled, the server interposes itself between the serving Visitor Location Register (VLR) of the mobile station and the subscriber's Home Location Register (HLR). Through a sequence of standardized messages, the server represents itself to the unsuspecting HLR as the mobile station's new serving VLR. The server receives from the subscriber's HLR a first set of subscriber data that comprises data related to call-service permissions. The server then modifies a parameter from the first set, restricting an end-user service to the mobile station. The server then transmits the modified parameter to the serving VLR, which is used to block one or more types of calls that involve the mobile station.

  • Publication number: 20170067550
Abstract: A cast aluminum differential housing for a motor vehicle powertrain having cast iron inserts. The housing is cast of light weight aluminum which weighs approximately one-third that of iron which has formerly been used to fabricate such housings. At locations of significant loads and wear, such as the mountings for the stub shaft associated with the two idler bevel gears, iron inserts are cast into the housing. The housing thus weighs significantly less than a comparable iron differential housing but since the two significant wear and load bearing regions include cast iron inserts, the aluminum differential housing of the present invention has the ruggedness, durability and service life of the much heavier iron housing.
