  • Publication number: 20140064601
Abstract: Vision based tracking of a mobile device is used to remotely control a robot. For example, images captured by a mobile device, e.g., in a video stream, are used for vision based tracking of the pose of the mobile device with respect to the imaged environment. Changes in the pose of the mobile device, i.e., the trajectory of the mobile device, are determined and converted to a desired motion of a robot that is remote from the mobile device. The robot is then controlled to move with the desired motion. The trajectory of the mobile device is converted to the desired motion of the robot using a transformation generated by inverting a hand-eye calibration transformation.

  • Patent number: 8667175
Abstract: In one embodiment, a first request is received for a probe link from a client that has downloaded a page. The request is received from an application. A test may be performed to determine a server that could optimally service a content request from the client. After receiving the request, the content router sends a re-direct to the client where the re-direct causes the client to follow the re-direct to the server. The server then sends a re-direct back to the client, which the client follows by sending a second request to the content router. The second request is associated with the client and the round-trip time is calculated for the server. It is then determined if the location for the server should be designated as the content deliverer to the client based on the calculated round-trip time.

  • Patent number: 8665996
Abstract: A configurable decoder within a receiver (for example, within a wireless communication device) includes numerous decoders. In one mode, the multiple decoders are used to decode different sub-packets of a packet. When one decoder completes decoding the last sub-packet assigned to it of the packet, then that decoder generates a packet done indication. A control circuit receives the packet done indications, and when all the decoders have generated packet done indications then the control circuit initiates an action. In one example, the action is the interrupting of a processor. The processor responds by reading status information from the control circuit, thereby resetting the interrupt. End-of-packet markers are usable to generate packet done indications and to generate EOP interrupts. Similarly, end-of-group markers are usable to generate group done indications and to generate EOG interrupts. The decoder block is configurable to process sub-packets of a packet using either one or multiple decoders.

  • Publication number: 20140059199
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to verifying the accessibility and functionality of an online service and to scheduling the automatic execution of an online service. In one scenario, a computer system receives online service workflows and corresponding expected outcomes for each workflow. Each online service workflow is associated with an online service, and each online service workflow includes workflow steps that cause the online service to perform specified operations that produce observable outcomes within a specified amount of time specified by the online service provider. The computer system executes at least one of the received online service workflows and abandons execution of the online service workflow if execution is not completed within the specified amount of time. The computer system also compares the outcomes of the workflow execution to the expected outcomes corresponding to the executed online service workflow and generates a report that includes the results of the comparison.

  • Patent number: 8660590
Abstract: A method to provide a unified and integrated view of the SMS Interaction history with other channel messages (irrespective of the Interaction channel) based on Case ID (Case Identifier) in a CRM application. The method parses the incoming SMS message text for the Case Identifier. The Interaction Thread belonging to the same Case ID is retrieved from the CRM application database and the incoming SMS message is added to that Interaction Thread. The whole interaction history pertaining to the same Case ID is displayed on the CRM application user interface at one place along with latest received massage via SMS along with various other channels of communication in order to enable proper management of the customer interaction. In case there is no Interaction Thread having same Case ID, a new Interaction Thread is created and all subsequent messages are threaded to the new Interaction Thread.

  • Patent number: 8661285
Abstract: A DDR memory controller is described wherein a core domain capture clock is created by programmably delaying the core clock of the memory controller. The delay of this capture clock is typically calibrated during a power on the initialization sequence in concert with a DDR memory in a system environment, thereby minimizing the effects of system delays and increasing both device and system yield. An additional embodiment also includes programmably delaying the incoming dqs signal. To compensate for voltage and temperature variations over time during normal operation, a runtime dynamic calibration mechanism and procedure is also provided.

  • Patent number: 8652104
Abstract: A catheter assembly includes a catheter hub defining an interior cavity and a catheter tube extending distally thereof. A rigid actuator extends proximally in the interior cavity and supports a seal member thereon. The seal member includes a central membrane, a distal portion, and a proximal portion. An hourglass shaped actuator cavity is formed in the distal portion and receives a barbed end of the actuator. The outer surface of the seal member is in partial circumferential engagement with the catheter hub to define an air path that allows fluid communication between areas of the interior cavity distal and proximal of the seal member. A punch tool is provided to form a tri-slit in the membrane of the seal member. The seal member may be configured for multi-use and include a biasing member that moves the seal member to force the membrane back over the actuator to close the membrane.

  • Patent number: 8655020
Abstract: A camera system comprises an image capturing device, object detection module, object tracking module, and match classifier. The object detection module receives image data and detects objects appearing in one or more of the images. The object tracking module temporally associates instances of a first object detected in a first group of the images. The first object has a first signature representing features of the first object. The match classifier matches object instances by analyzing data derived from the first signature of the first object and a second signature of a second object detected in a second image. The second signature represents features of the second object derived from the second image. The match classifier determine whether the second signature matches the first signature. A training process automatically configures the match classifier using a set of possible object features.
