  • Patent number: 11762348
Abstract: Control loop latency can be accounted for in predicting positions of micro-objects being moved by using a hybrid model that includes both at least one physics-based model and machine-learning models. The models are combined using gradient boosting, with a model created during at least one of the stages being fitted based on residuals calculated during a previous stage based on comparison to training data. The loss function for each stage is selected based on the model being created. The hybrid model is evaluated with data extrapolated and interpolated from the training data to prevent overfitting and ensure the hybrid model has sufficient predictive ability. By including both physics-based and machine-learning models, the hybrid model can account for both deterministic and stochastic components involved in the movement of the micro-objects, thus increasing the accuracy and throughput of the micro-assembly.

  • Patent number: 11747796
Abstract: The system and method described allow for real-time control over positioning of a micro-object. A movement of at least one micro-object suspended in a medium can be induced by a generation of one or more forces by electrodes proximate to the micro-object. Prior to inducing the movement, a simulation is used to develop a model describing a parameter of an interaction between each of the electrodes and the micro-object. A function describing the forces generated by an electrode and an extent of the movement induced due to the forces is generated using the model. The function is used to design closed loop policy control scheme for moving the micro-object towards a desired position. The position of the micro-object is tracked and taken into account when generating voltage patterns in the scheme.

  • Patent number: 11722140
Abstract: A phase-locked loop (PLL) circuit generates an analog signal in phase-lock with a reference signal at a reference frequency. The PLL circuit includes a charge pump circuit, a loop filter circuit, a feedback divider, and a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO). The charge pump circuit charges a sample capacitor of the loop filter circuit to a sample voltage based on a phase difference between the generated analog signal and the reference signal. The loop filter circuit stores the sample voltage as a proportional control voltage in a hold capacitor to reduce or avoid ripple in the control voltage that causes jitter in the analog signal. The loop filter circuit also provides the sample voltage to an integral component circuit comprising a comparator and digital accumulator producing an integral control. The VCO generates the analog signal at a frequency based on the proportional control voltage and the integral control voltage.

  • Publication number: 20230219820
Abstract: A cracking process for a reaction distillation of chlorosilane slurry includes feeding a chlorosilane slurry into a phase separator, drying a solid phase, feeding a chlorosilane polymer into a plate distillation column, returning kettle materials of the plate distillation column, and dividing a material produced from a top of the column. The process adopts an ionic liquid catalyst, which is environmentally friendly and reusable. The cracking and distillation of chlorosilane polymer are carried out simultaneously to shorten the time and increase the utilization rate of raw materials, which can reduce energy consumption and save costs and facilitate industrial production. A plate column is used as a distillation column, in which the two phases of the gas and liquid are sufficiently contacted. Therefore, the transfer of mass and heat is good, the production capacity is good, and the tower is not easily blocked, thereby making it easy to clean.
