Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to gaming systems and related methods for validating a download assignment or a validation assignment for one or more electronic gaming machines (EGMs). In one embodiment, the gaming system can schedule downloads and/or configurations for one or more EGMs from a network terminal. Additionally, the network terminal determines whether the download or selected configuration is compatible with the existing physical or software structure of an EGM. In the event the EGM configuration is not compatible with the scheduled download or configuration, a casino operator is notified of the error at the network terminal. Optionally, the gaming system automatically schedules one or more supplemental downloads so that the user-selected download of configuration is executable on the EGMs.

Abstract: Persistent, spatial collaboration on the web supports a free-form, user-intuitive approach to a variety of projects and activities. Users can place differing object types at any time any where on a web page and/or the system can automatically, and with no user effort, affect object placement based on one or more meta data characteristics. A user can, in real-time, see changes made by another user to a web page, and, if desired, react accordingly, enabling true collaboration even if the various users are at remote locations. The flexibility of the methodology and system provides a platform for users to engage in projects and activities in a manner and environment suited to the users' mind sets, creativity, and natural proclivities.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a handoff between technologies are disclosed. An intra-technology handoff occurs where the same integrated chassis handles the session for the different access technologies. In an intra-technology handoff, the same IP address and the session can be maintained through the handoff. The mobile node can undergo a handoff without issuing a registration request in some embodiments. An inter-technology handoff occurs from one integrated chassis to another integrated chassis. The integrated chassis can preserve session and context information in a session manager and in a handoff from one access technology to another the same session manager can be chosen with the session and context information remaining intact even though the access technology has changed. The integrated chassis can provide an access technology handoff where the core network does not notice any change and applications running on or delivered to the mobile node are not effected.

The method further includes generating a display page listing option trading information for a plurality of option series relating to at least one of the entered underlying asset symbol and the entered option class symbol, and displaying the plurality of option series on the display page such that the option series having a strike price approximately equal to the current trading price of the underlying asset is centrally positioned on the display page.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for improving the distribution of system management signals within a computer system complex. Mechanisms are provided for transmission both within a box and between computer system boxes. Local routing tables and general routing tables allow the distribution of system management signals precisely to resources associated with particular partitions. Signals are sequenced to put resources associated with one or more boxes in the appropriate states. The distribution of signals between boxes in the computer system complex can be accomplished with the use of a dedicated wire.

Abstract: A thermal management system includes an airflow sensor that measures airflow in an air path inside an enclosure to be cooled, wherein the air path includes a filter and a fan. A controller is responsive to the airflow sensor for monitoring the rate of airflow inside the enclosure and determining the condition of the filter. In one embodiment, the airflow sensor is an active type sensor, such as a thermistor, disposed on circuit boards. In further embodiments, the airflow sensor is disposed proximate a tube through the filter.

In one embodiment, where the competing portfolios of logistical alternatives are competing portfolios of flight paths, a method (1100) for optimizing a plurality of competing portfolios of logistical alternatives includes receiving (1102) competing flight path portfolios from one or more flight operation centers. Dominance criteria are applied (1104) to select a subset of the portfolios from the plurality of competing portfolios for further consideration. Multi-objective genetic optimization is applied (1106) to the subset of portfolios to identify an optimal portfolio among the plurality of competing portfolios of logistical alternatives.

The priority assigned to the primary packet may uniquely distinguish the primary packet from a priority of the other packets for the particular channel. The primary packet and the secondary packet may have the same priority and the same continuity counter.

Each drone process may then send the paths that satisfy the pattern back to the master process, which may aggregate the path data so that two or more identical paths appearing in the path data are reduced to a single occurrence of a path.

Abstract: In an embodiment of the present invention, a record is read a single time, and it is evaluated against all conditions to identify the ones that it satisfies. By organizing the conditions into appropriate data structures, the process may be further optimized by ensuring that the record is not scanned multiple times.
