  • Patent number: 7641290
Abstract: A valve has a valve body with first and second intake passages, first and second supply passages and a reservoir return passage defined therein. A shuttle member is movable within the valve body between a first flow position and a second flow position. In the first flow position, the shuttle member defines a first fluid flow path between the first intake passage and the first supply passage and a second fluid flow path between the second supply passage and the reservoir return passage. In the second flow position, the shuttle member defines a third fluid flow path between the second intake passage and the second supply passage and a fourth fluid flow path between the first supply passage and the reservoir return passage. The valve is useful in a bi-directional hydraulic power system having at least one hydraulic component, a reservoir for hydraulic fluid, and a bi-directional pump.

  • Patent number: 7619628
Abstract: Methods and systems for processing digital image data utilizing vertically-oriented Effect graphs are provided. When processing digital image data utilizing Effect graphs, it is often necessary for certain Effects on the graph to render their outputs multiple times during a single rendering pass. To alleviate the exponential processing that such a scenario can cause, methods and systems for caching at least a portion of the digital image data being processed in image buffers associated with the output of one or more Effects in the Effect graph during processing are provided. Additionally provided are methods and systems for caching digital image data in image buffers associated with the output of one or more Effects across multiple processing passes of an Effect graph.

  • Publication number: 20090272439
Abstract: A chiller system (10) includes a compressor (12), a condenser (14), a cooler (20), a bubbler tube (22) and a float valve (18) within the condenser (14). A solenoid valve (26) is disposed within the bubbler tube (22) and is adapted to selectively open and close the float valve (18) such that a refrigerant flow to the cooler (20) is throttled. The throttled refrigerant flow results in a reduction in system pressure which further results in a higher viscosity oil delivery to the compressor (12) by an oil management system (30).

  • Patent number: 7584299
Abstract: The gateway devices in a VPN require configuration when the VPN is set up and to reflect changes. To process the configuration tasks efficiently, a method is described of configuring a virtual private network (VPN) within a shared network, in which a queue of configuration tasks is created for gateway devices belonging to the VPN. The configuration tasks include sending static network routing information to said gateway devices. The tasks are deployed by retrieving a next task from the queue, and interrogating the gateway device to which the task relates, to identifying any change in subnetworks connected thereto since the task was created. If no change is identified, the retrieved task is performed. If, on the other hand, a change is identified, update configuration tasks are created for all relevant gateway devices in the VPN.

  • Publication number: 20090168753
Abstract: In accordance with the preferred embodiment and alternative embodiments of the invention, RFID network control devices (RNCDs) are provided wherein RFID traffic signals from any one of multiple RFID readers may be routed to any of the RFID antennas coupled to the RNCD. Each reader coupled directly or indirectly to the RNCD, either through its own action or the action of the external host controller managing the reader, may issue commands to the RNCD, over the same cable used to carry RFID traffic signals, and cause the RNCD to set its internal switch configuration such that a channel is established for RFID traffic signals between that reader and a particular RFID antenna coupled to the RNCD. This may include commands from the reader or external host controller which place other intervening RNCD units in a bypass state so as to establish the required communications channel with a minimum of signal strength loss.

  • Publication number: 20090143922
Abstract: A power distribution system is provided having a power source configured to generate a power output. The power distribution system also has an available power module configured to determine a total available power generated by the power source. In addition, the power distribution system has one or more parasitic power request modules configured to receive a request for power from an associated parasitic device and one or more non-parasitic power request modules configured to receive a request for power from an associated non-parasitic device. The power distribution system further has a power distribution module configured to cause the distribution of power among the parasitic and non-parasitic devices. The power distributed among the non-parasitic devices is the power remaining after the parasitic devices receive their requested power.

  • Patent number: 7519233
Abstract: Methods and systems for processing, e.g., non-destructively processing, digital image data utilizing vertically-oriented Effect graphs are provided. In non-destructive processing where and when data is transformed is fairly important, both in terms of quality and performance. The further down the vertically-oriented Effect graph a transformation occurs, the better. As such, methods for pushing transformations down an Effect graph to the lowest point possible and applying them at that point rather than the location at which they may have been placed are provided. Systems for implementing the methods herein disclosed are also provided.
