    Abstract: A direction-control switch module. The module includes a cross-channel disposed in an inner wall of an upper cover and an opposite base respectively, as well as a control set disposed between the upper cover and the base. A common pin and plurality connecting pins extend to the hub or terminals of the cross-channel in the base. An actuation portion includes a center hole being protrusively disposed in the upper cover in an axial line defined by the center of the upper cover and the base. The control set further includes a pushbutton having an axial hole and a spherical portion, a shaft, and resilient members. When force is applied to the shaft to enable the spherical portion in the actuation portion to displace in a specified direction, this enables a depression piece extended from the spherical portion to move downward to depress and contact a connecting pin for output of a distinct direction signal to control displacement of a screen cursor.

    Abstract: An improved directional switch mainly utilizes a piece of elastic member to form a single elastic structure to couple with a conductive member to construct a small size directional switch that is easy to assemble. The structure includes a base block coupling with a lid, and a control unit and the conductive member located in the bas block. The base block has contact terminals and a common contact terminal located at the bottom thereof. Applying a force on the control unit to depress the conductive member, the conductive member will be moved downwards to connect one contact terminal and the common contact terminal to output a directional signal.

    Abstract: A method for electrically coupling electrode pads comprising forming a reflowed solder bump on a first electrode pad supported by a first substrate. The reflowed solder bump includes a solder material having a solder melting temperature. The method further includes forming a second electrode pad on a second substrate. The second electrode pad has an electrode structure defined by at least one converging continuous arcuate surface terminating in an apex and having an electrode material whose melting temperature is greater than the solder melting temperature of the solder material. The solder bump is heated to reflow or to soften the solder material, and subsequently the apex of the second electrode pad is pressed or inserted into the heated solder bump to couple the first electrode pad to the second electrode pad. A method for solder bump reflow comprising pressing or inserting the apex of an electrode into a reflowed solder bumps, and then reflowing solder material of the reflowed solder bump.

A guide plate is arranged in the housing for guiding the air flow along the path from the fan assembly to the air outlet. A sound-absorbing structure including a plurality of wedge-shaped elements made of a sound-absorbing material is attached to the side wall. The wedge-shaped elements are arranged in a line for effectively reducing noise level caused by the operation of the fan assembly. A second line of wedge-shaped elements is optionally attached to the side wall with the wedge-shaped elements of the two lines alternating each other.

    Abstract: A cursor controller used to control displacement direction and speed of a cursor by changing equivalent capacitance comprises a conductive layer, two electrode layers and a press body. The electrode layers are attached to each face of the conductive layer respectively, wherein a plurality of electrode lines is formed on each electrode layer; one end of each electrode line is coupled with a resistor, and a vector zone is formed on each electrode layer at a section without connected resistor to cross each other perpendicularly in different orientations. An insulation portion is printed on a peripheral area of the electrode lines and on the resistors. The conductive layer and the electrode layers are glued together to form a thin-film printed circuit board. When the press body is pressed against the electrode layer the conductive layer will contact the electrode layers to effect a matrix output signal.

The gate includes a conducting layer positioned on the insulation layer having a bottom side, a top side, a left side and a right side, and a metallic silicide layer positioned on the top side of the conducting layer wherein the width of the metallic silicide layer is greater than that of the bottom side of the conducting layer. The dielectric layer covers the drain, the source and the metallic silicide layer. The transistor includes at least one empty side slot positioned between the dielectric layer and the left side or right side of the conducting layer below the metallic silicide layer.

    Abstract: A method for deplating defective capacitors comprising forming a plurality of capacitors on a semiconductor substrate, forming a plurality of metal contacts on the plurality of capacitors, and depositing a layer of photoresist on the semiconductor substrate. The photoresist layer is patterned so that the plurality of metal contacts are exposed, which are then contacted with an electrically conductive solution. The metal contacts, which are disposed over defective capacitors, are subsequently deplated. A method for forming a multi-chip module comprising forming a thin-film polymeric interconnect structure having a pair of sides, one of which is disposed on a silicon substrate having active or passive devices and the other of which has a computer chip mounted thereon. A multi-chip module formed by the method.

    Abstract: A method for fabricating a metal-oxide semiconductor (MOS) transistor. A substrate having a gate structure is provided. The method of the invention includes forming a liner spacer on each side of the gate structure and a low dopant density region deep inside the substrate. The low dopant density region has a lower dopant density than that of a lightly doped region of the MOS transistor. Then a interchangeable source/drain region with a lightly doped drain (LDD) structure and an anti-punch-through region is formed on each side of the gate structure in the low dopant density region. The depth of the interchangeable source/drain region is not necessary to be shallow.
