Publication number: 20070127194Abstract: A protective device for a liquid crystal display has a protective plate, a plate holder, a holding block, a strip and a clamping device. The plate holder has a groove on a top, a flange extending backward and an abutting recess defined under the flange. The holding block combines with the plate holder and has a channel for receiving the strip. When the protective device mounts on a monitor of the liquid crystal display, the flange is rest to a flat top of an outer frame of the monitor to make the abutting recess snugly combine with the outer frame. When the protective plate engages the groove and erects in front of a screen panel of the monitor, the strip ties the protective plate and the monitor together and the clamping device holds the plate and the outer frame of the monitor to keep the protective plate steady.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2005Publication date: June 7, 2007Inventor: Wang-Lung She

Publication number: 20070127195Abstract: The invention in a response to the problems associated with limited screen space of portable computing devices (i.e. laptops). Because of issues of portability, size and weight these devices have been limited to a single, undersized screen in which relatively small amounts of information can be displayed at the same time. Though there exists some means of attaching secondary displays to the devices, there exists no practical way of taking these secondary screens with the user. The invention rests on the premise of creating a new system that allows for the portability of secondary display devices. By placing a secondary screen on a hinge in front of the primary screen, while still maintaining the portability of the original portable computing device I solve this issue. The concept resembles the concept similar to a door. Thus, the secondary screen(s) shall be known as the “door screen(s)” and the primary screen shall be known as the “doorway screen”.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 7, 2005Publication date: June 7, 2007Inventor: Bobbie King

Publication number: 20070127196Abstract: The invention was imagined as a response to the problems associated with limited screen space of portable computing devices (i.e. laptops, PDAs, etc.). Because of issues of portability, size and weight these devices have been limited to a single, undersized screen in which relatively small amounts of information can be displayed at the same time. Though there exists some means of attaching secondary displays to the devices, there exists no practical way of taking these secondary devices with the user (i.e. allowing for complete portability of all aspects of the devices). The invention rests on the premise of creating a new system that allows for the portability of secondary display devices to solve the issues described in the background section. By placing a secondary screen behind the primary screen of the device, while still maintaining the portability of the original portable computing device, we solve the above problem.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 7, 2005Publication date: June 7, 2007Inventor: Bobbie King

Publication number: 20070127240Abstract: An R-light optical system 14, a G-light optical system 15, and a B-light optical system 16 are disposed correspondingly to an R-light LED chip 11, a G-light LED chip 12, and a B-light LED chip 13, which emit an red light (R light), a green light (G light), and a blue light (B light), respectively. The R-light optical system 14, the G-light optical system 15, and the B-light optical system 16 are formed by combining a reflecting plate, a refractive lens, and a diffraction grating appropriately. The R-light optical system 14, the G-light optical system 15, and the B-light optical system 16 distribute all of the R light, the G light, and the B light, which are diffused widely, toward a cross dichroic prism 17.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2006Publication date: June 7, 2007Inventor: Masayuki Inamoto

Publication number: 20070127241Abstract: The present invention is a low power and low heat dissipating, low illumination system that is based in an electrical box cover plate, preferably in a light switch cover plate. It allows for the maintenance of an electrical bleed current through the fluorescent light controlled by that light switch so as to keep a minimal thermal differential between the unlit and lit light. The light switch cover plate has a series of imbedded LEDs that illuminate an area all around the light switch. The unit is retrofittable on conventional light switches.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 23, 2007Publication date: June 7, 2007Inventor: Michael Faunce

Publication number: 20070127242Abstract: An LED light string employs a plurality of LEDs wired in block series-parallel, where the one or more series blocks, each driven at the same input voltage or rectified AC input voltage as the source voltage (110 VAC or 220 VAC), are coupled in parallel. This voltage matching requirement for direct AC drive places fundamental restrictions on the number of diodes on each diode series block, depending on the types of diodes used. The same method that apply to matching the sum of the LED lamps (VAC values) to the AC input, or applied voltage in an AC circuit apply to matching the sum of the LED lamps (VP values) to the full-wave or half-wave rectified AC (VP) voltage applied. Filtering capacitors may also be employed.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 26, 2006Publication date: June 7, 2007Inventors: David Allen, Mark Allen

Publication number: 20070127243Abstract: A light for a jack includes a housing having a chamber therein to receive a battery set, two pivot portions at two exterior sides thereof and a light portion at a top thereof. Two pivot devices are pivoted on the pivot portions of the housing respectively to be moved to change an angle relative to the housing. Each of the pivot devices is provided with a magnet to couple the pivot devices with the jack by a magnetic force of the magnets.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 7, 2005Publication date: June 7, 2007Applicant: Hiever Co., Ltd.Inventor: Tony Huang
