Abstract: A pedestal console for a motor vehicle includes a housing stationarily mounted within the vehicle beneath and transverse to a bench seat of the vehicle. The console includes an air duct defined by structural features extending the length of the console. This allows air from a forward ventilation system to be provided, through the air duct, to an aft portion of the vehicle. The structural features extend between the bottom surface and the top surface of the console and are dimensioned to allow the console to accept passenger floor loads. To reduce cost and parts count, the entire console is formed of a one piece construction. Finally, an interior opening may be provided to route wiring of the vehicle's electrical system to the aft portion of the vehicle.

Abstract: A pivotally actuated glove box mounted within a vehicle dashboard and exhibiting reinforcing support proximate a mounting location of an exterior handle mechanism. A volume-holding bin includes an inner panel secured to locations associated with the bin. Projecting portions defined upon an opposite surface of the inner panel align with selected inwardly directed support ribs associated with an outer panel and which is vibrational welded with said inner panel along contact locations established between said panels. The placement of the projecting portions coincides with the contact locations associated those inwardly directed support ribs of the outer panel which are proximate the location of a handle mechanism secured to an exposed face of the outer panel and which, upon actuating the handle mechanism, prevent damage to the inwardly contacting edges of the outer panel structural rib supports.

Abstract: In a BBW type brake system, first ports of fluid pressure generators are closed to generate brake fluid pressure in respective wheel cylinders before a master cylinder generates brake fluid pressure, by initiating the operation of the fluid pressure generators based on the output of a pedal stroke sensor. Therefore, the brake fluid pressure generated by the master cylinder is prevented from being transmitted to wheel cylinders, even when a shutoff valve, which closes during normal operation of a conventional BBW type brake system, is not provided, thereby providing reliable operation of the BBW type brake system. Thus, since the master cylinder and the fluid pressure generators are kept in communication at a non-braking time, a reservoir of the master cylinder can be also used as the reservoir of the fluid pressure generators without providing the system with an atmosphere valve, which is conventionally required.

Abstract: The power supply device of the present invention supplies power highly reliably by suppressing an increase in costs even when a multiplicity of load groups are present. When operating normally, each of the normal power supply units supplies power via a normal path to each of the load groups. One redundant power supply unit is provided for a plurality of normal power supply units. When any of the normal power supply units fail, the redundant power supply unit continues to supply power to the load group via the redundant path. A diode for connecting the redundant path to the normal path is provided in each normal power supply unit and the redundant paths that are routed through the respective normal power supply units are connected so as to intersect one another between the normal power supply units.

Abstract: An electrically-driven power tool includes a power supply circuit capable of outputting a plurality of DC voltages different in level through conversion of a commercial AC voltage. A lamp and its associated switch are provided. When the switch is turned ON to light the lamp, the DC voltage is applied to the lamp so that voltage gradually increases up to a predetermined level during a predetermined period of time. By doing so, a voltage being applied, for example, to a microcomputer from the power supply circuit is prevented from momentarily lowering at the time when the switch is turned ON.

Abstract: The present invention provides a SATA cable with light display feature, which is mainly used for the SATA cables for computer host and their peripheral devices. With the light display capability, the connection readiness status and the signal transmission conditions can be easily detected via the pins on the SATA cable. The realization technique used by the present invention is adding the LED lights and the control pins inlayed at the two plug-in ends of the SATA cable. When the two plug-in ends of the SATA cable are both connected and ready, or there is data transmission going on, the control pins automatically turn on the LED lights to indicate the ON/ACTIVE connection status/condition.
