Abstract: An inertial (mass) body is relatively rotatably provided on a V gear. Further, a ring is provided at the outer peripheral side of the V gear so as to be rotatable and displacable in the rotational radial direction of the V gear. When the V gear is suddenly rotated with a spool, the mass relatively pivots to the side opposite to the side of the pull out direction, and displaces to the outside in the rotational radial direction of the V gear. By doing so, an inner peripheral portion of the ring contacts with an outer peripheral portion of the V gear, and the ring rotates with the V gear. Due to this a pressing portion provided at an outer peripheral portion of the ring displaces an interlocking pawl, meshing the interlocking pawl with ratchet teeth on an outer peripheral portion of the V gear.

Abstract: A web material winding machine includes a core tube storage tank, a guiding unit, a transmission means, a web material feeding assembly, a gripping assembly and a second gluing mechanism. A core tube is glued with initial glue and conveyed from the guiding unit to the transmission means. Meanwhile, the web material is fed by the web material feeding assembly to the transmission means at a normal speed. The transmission means pushes the core tube to move through a transporting passage to the gripping assembly and the web material is stuck to the core tube. The web material winds around the core tube at the winding region. When the winding is nearly completed, a new core tube is conveyed to the transporting passage and interferes the speeding of web material, causing the web material to tear along the perforation line. A tail glue is applied to the completed core tube by the second gluing mechanism and a roll is produced.

Abstract: A reel in which the planarity of a reel plate after insert molding may be ensured. The reel plate is formed into a concave shape, and by insert molding, the reel plate is made substantially flat. When a reel plate is insert molded, the reel plate is deformed in the direction to protrude in the direction to the outside of the reel by shrinkage stress of resin after molding. Therefore, by concaving the reel plate in advance into a concave shape, even if the reel plate is protruded by the shrinkage stress of the resin after insert molding, the amount of protruding may be absorbed by the amount of concaving, and the shape of the reel plate may be made substantially flat. That is to say, the planarity of the reel plate may be obtained. By doing so, the meshing of the reel gear that surrounds the reel plate with the drive gear on the rotation shaft side of the drive device may be improved.

Abstract: Unsafe electric energies can exist in aircraft fuel tanks as a result of static build-up or induced currents from lightning strikes. The invention provides an aircraft fuel tank including two discharge paths for the safe discharge of electricity from the tank before it reaches levels where an arc, spark or other electric discharge, able to ignite fuel in the tank, could occur. The failure of both the discharge paths would significantly increase the risk of an ignition causing electrical discharge occurring. The tank thus also includes a circuit for monitoring the integrity of each discharge path. By having at least two discharge paths, should one discharge path fail (which failure being detected by the monitoring circuit), at least one alternative discharge path exists for the safe discharge of electrical energy from the fuel tank, until the failed discharge path is repaired.

Abstract: Triboelectric treatment of or addition to a wing tip and an airfoil upper and lower surfaces is selectively done to electrostatically mutually charge the wing tip and the airfoil upper and lower surfaces with the atmospheric air frictionally coming in contact, in order to reduce trailing-edge vorticity and to promote interlayer mixing in the downwash. Electrostatic forces impede air rollup around the wing tip by first pulling the rolling up air from the airfoil lower surface to the wing tip side face, holding, charging and then repelling the rolling up air to the airfoil upper surface. Triboelectric layers with opposite charges, stacked chord-wise or thickness-wise, form flat and rounded wing tips for vorticity and BVI-noise reduction. For similar effects, opposite triboelectric layers, stacked span-wise, form a rounded wing tip. Lining of thick trailing edge of an airfoil is done with a triboelectric beading to reduce trailing-edge vorticity and form drag.

Abstract: A detachable and non-damaging hanger assembly for use with vertical support structures located either inside or outside a building. The hanger assembly comprises a central bracket having means for removable attachment a support structure with easily removable rod-like hanger members or arms extending upwardly, downwardly, or both, from the central bracket. The members or arms extending outwardly, preferably in a curved manner, from the support structure and have on the outer ends of the arms means for hanging decorative or useful items. The method consists of attaching the central bracket to a vertical support structure by means of an adjustable belt that extends around the circumference of the support structure. With the central bracket attached to the support structure one end of the rod members is then telescopically engaged in a perforation formed in the central bracket so that the rod members are releasably held by the central bracket.
