Patent number: 12068051Abstract: Techniques for mitigating/eliminating the impact of duty distortion caused by delays in clock paths within a built-in high-frequency test circuit for NAND flash are disclosed. By mitigating or eliminating the impact of duty distortion, accuracy of the valid data window measurement is ensured. Rising edges of a strobe clock signal and an inverted strobe clock signal are used to respectively locate even and odd data (or vice versa) within an input buffer of the NAND flash during respective sweeps of the strobe and inverted strobe clock signals. In this manner, even if the strobe clock signal's duty ratio is distorted, there is no impact on the valid data window measurement. Further, read latency is used to introduce delay to a read enable (RE) clock signal, thereby obviating the need for a replica controlled delay in the RE clock path and eliminating the duty distortion that would otherwise occur.Type: GrantFiled: May 20, 2022Date of Patent: August 20, 2024Assignee: SANDISK TECHNOLOGIES LLCInventors: Hoon Choi, Anil Pai, Venkatesh Prasad Ramachandra

Patent number: 12068054Abstract: An SRAM controller for performing sequential accesses using internal ports that operate concurrently on different rows. Each internal port includes a row address strobe (RAS) timer that generates clock signals controlling the timing of operations during a RAS phase in which word line decoding is performed once for a group of bit cells being accessed. The RAS phase can involve additional conditioning operations, such as precharging of local bits lines associated with the group of bit cells. The RAS phase is followed by an input/output (IO) phase in which individual bit cells are accessed in sequential address order using a column select signal generated by an IO timer. The RAS phase of a first internal port can be at least partially overlapped by the IO phase of a second internal port to hide the RAS latency of the first internal port. The IO timer can be shared among internal ports.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 2022Date of Patent: August 20, 2024Assignee: META PLATFORMS TECHNOLOGIES, LLCInventors: Huichu Liu, Daniel Henry Morris, Edith Dallard

Patent number: 12068084Abstract: The known fully ceramic microencapsulated fuel (FCM) entrains fission products within a primary encapsulation that is the consolidated within a secondary ultra-high-temperature-ceramic of Silicon Carbide (SiC). In this way the potential for fission product release to the environment is significantly limited. In order to extend the performance of this fuel to higher temperature and more aggressive coolant environments, such as the hot-hydrogen of proposed nuclear rockets, a zirconium carbide matrix version of the FCM fuel has been invented. In addition to the novel nature to this very high temperature fuel, the ability to form these fragile TRISO microencapsulations within fully dense ZrC represent a significant achievement.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2023Date of Patent: August 20, 2024Assignee: ULTRA SAFE NUCLEAR CORPORATIONInventor: Lance Lewis Snead

Patent number: 12068085Abstract: A system is described that exhibits the functionality of a beam-splitter, typically an optical device that splits a beam of light in two. In this case, the beams are acoustic pulses and can lead to the creation of a Wannier-Mott exciton: a bound state of an electron and an electron hole whose attraction to each other is maintained by the electrostatic Coulomb force. This exciton beam-splitter is lossy (i.e., involves the dissipation of electrical or electromagnetic energy). Half of the time the exciton is radiated away. Nevertheless, if the exciton is not lost, the exciton is now in a superposition of two states that can be well separated in position. Four such beam-splitters can be used to make an exciton interferometer that uses the interference patterns from the interacting acoustic pulses to extract information.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 2021Date of Patent: August 20, 2024Assignee: Boise State UniversityInventor: Bernard Yurke

Patent number: 12068095Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention comprise; annealing steel sheets (e.g., hot rolled steel sheets or thin cast strip steel); cold rolling the sheets in one or more cold rolling steps (e.g., with annealing steps between multiple cold rolling steps); and performing one or more of tension leveling, a rough rolling, or a coating process on the sheets after cold rolling, without an intermediate annealing step between the final cold rolling step and the tension leveling, the rough rolling, or the coating process, or the customer stamping or final customer annealing. In order to achieve the desired properties for the steel sheet, stamping and final annealing is performed by the customer. The new process provides an electrical steel with the similar, same, or better magnetic properties than an electrical steel manufactured using the traditional processing that utilizes an intermediate annealing step after cold rolling and before the stamping and final annealing.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 2023Date of Patent: August 20, 2024Assignee: NUCOR CORPORATIONInventors: Theodore E.
