The container also includes a base for holding a cosmetic substance, the base having a second interface, the second interface having a second periphery corresponding to the first periphery. The container also includes a generally hermetic seal providing a channel associated with the first interface and a peripheral rim associated with the second interface. The container includes a discharge for reducing the air pressure integral with the first or the second interface. The first interface and the second interface provide a substantially hermetic seal when the cover is closed with respect to the base.

Abstract: The invention relates to a makeup box or the like comprising a body housing a supply of substance, a lid, and a sealing member having a deformable lip extending around the supply of substance when the box is closed, one of the lid and the body of the box bearing against said sealing member when the box is closed. The sealing member is secured to a support piece fitted on the other one of the body of the box and the lid, and extending at least in part beneath said deformable sealing lip.

Abstract: A cosmetic applicator and a process for producing the same are disclosed. The cosmetic applicator according to the present invention comprises a pair of components each comprising a cloth material used for coating cosmetics and a core material which is wrapped with the cloth material from the front surface side to the back surface side of the core material, and a welding sheet arranged at a joining portion of the two components which are arranged to face the respective back surfaces in order to join the back surfaces of the two components with each other, wherein the cloth material at the back surface side of the core material is folded at a predetermined size in the site excluding the central portion of the core material to form a folding face, and an excess endface inside the peripheral edge of the folding face is subjected to drawing.

The purposes of the invention are to improve the cosmetic substance filling process, to improve the cosmetic case assembly process, to more effectively seal the cosmetic material held in the container, and to provide for more convenient operation and usage of the cosmetic case.

A two part latching apparatus attached to the lid and case automatically latches the two together whenever the lid is closed. This two part latching apparatus utilizes complementary latching members which mate with and automatically engage each other.

The liquid container comprises an upper shell and a lower bonded along their outer circumferential ends to define a flat liquid pool between them. At least one of the upper and lower shells is a thin skin member made of a flexible material to be deformable when depressed. The upper shell has formed a through hole communicating with the liquid pool, and a flexible film is bonded onto the upper shell to form the automatic opening and closing mechanism composed of a duct communicating with the through hole and an outlet communicating with the duct between the flexible film and the upper shell.

The decorative feature remains in tact during continued use of the product and lasts at least as long as the life of the cosmetic product.

The case body has lower and upper plates, having the same profile, and a connecting wall formed at the junction between the two plates in such a manner that the case body is slightly cut to a predetermined depth along two parallel and longitudinal cutting lines at its central portion, thus forming two hinge parts at positions around the cutting lines. The board with at least one reservoir is attached to an upper surface of the lower plate and is produced from a foaming synthetic resin material having a low density. The lock is mounted to between the free end of the upper plate and the free end of the lower plate, thus allowing the upper plate to be easily opened or closed.

Abstract: This invention is relates to a cosmetic case capable of displaying the inside of the case, comprising a housing for containing a cosmetic material, the housing having an opening for exposing the surface of the cosmetic material, a lid for closing the opening formed at the housing and a hinge member attached to each edge of the housing and the lid to rotatably connect the housing and the lid with each other so that respective outer surfaces of the housing and the lid come to face closely to each other. The hinge member comprises a pair of shafts members and a pair of support members, each support member arranged on each end of the pair of the shaft members. Each of the housing and the lid has a coupling portion having a fitting groove for fitting one of the shaft members to hide the shaft members and to expose the support members on opposite sides of the coupling portion.

Abstract: A powder puff case for powder adhesion is provided to permit face powder to directly and uniformly adhere to a powder puff through an adhesion net when turning upside down and shaking a powder case that is filled with face powder. The adhesion net may be injection-molded integrally at bottom of the powder puff case, or outer circumference of the adhesion net is bent upward, to be received into a middle portion of bottom of the powder puff case, and a support body is inserted into bottom of the powder puff case, to hold the outer circumference of the adhesion net. Here, the adhesion net, the powder puff case, and the support body are in contact with one another by ultrasonic joint, etc. This powder puff case has a simple adhesion structure, in that meshes of the adhesion net are not stopped up and there is no separate case to hold face powder. Accordingly, face powder directly and uniformly adheres through the adhesion net to the powder puff from the main body.

Abstract: A portable cosmetic container basically comprised of a container, cover, and hinge pin, all fabricated from synthetic resin to allow the container to be recycled as a completely plastic item while providing a stable free-stop function. The hinge structure includes a hinge pin inserted within a continuous bore formed in a hinge block integrally formed on the cover part, and a hinge body integrally formed on the container part. Applying friction to said hinge pin maintains the cover at any angular open position through friction between the hinge pin and hinge block hole by a slight interference fit between the hinge pin and hole. Splines are gouged in the hinge block hole to prevent rotation of said hinge pin. The spline fixedly secures the hinge pin within the hinge body through interference fit joint.

Abstract: This invention provides an airtight cosmetic container, which comprises a cover, a base, and a hollow gasket positioned on the cover or the base. As the cover is moved into the closed position, the gasket deforms to a point where the gasket sealingly engages the cover and the base. The gasket surrounds a volatile solvent-containing product, and because the gasket deforms between the cover and the base, a seal is obtained which substantially prevents the loss of the volatile solvent from the product when the container is closed.

The packaging device has an operating element rotatably mounted on the body which has an inclined ramp. The tongue is slidably attached to the ramp and moves in a vertical direction as the operating element is rotated. The rotational movement of the operating element relative to the body and to the tongue provides for a guided translational movement of the tongue along the wall of the body and the tilting of the lid around its articulation axis on the body.
