  • Patent number: 10604336
Abstract: A pre-filled wine glass product is sealed using a rigid lock-on cap. The wine glass illustratively includes a circumferential ledge with a groove against which the bottom rim of the cap seats, creating a liquid resistant barrier that helps to prevent liquid from penetrating under the cap from the outside. The wine glass has a rim with a rounded profile at the outside surface of the glass and a flat profile on the inside surface thereof, facilitating injection-molding manufacture of the glass. The ledge, the lower rim of the cap and a rounded pedestal base of the wine glass have the same diameter, which facilitates the capping and filling of the pre-filled wine glass product by high-speed filling and capping machinery. Further facilitating this is the fact that the edge of the rounded pedestal base is at least 4 mm high and has a flat profile.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus enable the integrity of a liner pipe to be quickly and effectively tested in the field, while permitting rapid removal and replacement of the liner pipe if it is compromised. The liner pipe is leak tested prior to reversion, after being pulled through a host pipe to be lined via a swaging die and while the liner pipe is still under tension. If the liner pipe exhibits a leak, it can be removed from the liner pipe immediately and, importantly, before it has expanded to contact the host pipe. Leak testing apparatus includes a packer, which seals the opposite end of the liner pipe from the end which is pulled, creating a contained fluid volume upon which the leak test is performed. A fluid fill system extends into an interior of the bladder to provide fluid for inflating or deflating the bladder. When the bladder is inflated with fluid passing into the interior, an outer wall of the bladder is expanded against a wall of a pipe where the plug is located, to hold the plug in place. As pipeline fluid forces act downstream on the frustum of the plug, the frustum moves slightly downstream, exerting a radial force through the bladder and against the wall of the pipe, so that pressure within the pipe and upstream of the plug enhances radial force with which the bladder engages the pipe wall.

  • Patent number: 10268102
Abstract: A removable and flexible protective cap that is configured and dimensioned to stretch and slip over fixed camera lenses, detachable camera lenses and other tubular-shaped objects. The protective cap fits on objects having different diameters. The protective cap further includes integrated bumpers to provide improved protection against impacts. The protective cap has a memory such that when it is removed from a lens, it returns to its original shape. The protective cap may include a lint-resistant feature to prevent lint and dust from adhering to the cap. The protective cap is particularly suited for lenses used in photography, videography, hunting, military, and astronomy. The protective cap is also suited for use on non-optical devices, including gun barrels. In addition, the protective cap is suitable for use on other tubular-shaped objects.
