Abstract: A generally C shaped power tool handle has two ends for releasably engaging the power tool housing, with a gripping portion between the ends. One of the handle ends has a release lever, while the other of the ends has an attachment arm. The release lever has an actuating end operable to detach the handle from the tool housing. Additional power tool handle embodiments are directed to a tool handle that has a gripping layer and a storage compartment in the handle, with a pliable lip in the handle for resisting movement of stored tools.

Abstract: A handle for detachably receiving different tools. The handle includes a holding part at one end, and a fitting mechanism on another end. The fitting mechanism includes an upper fitting slot and a lower fitting slot. Each of the fitting slots includes a back support and a pair of bending portions that extend from lateral edges of the respective fitting slots, and the back supports of the fitting slots are secured to one another. A clip hook includes a sloped guiding face and a connecting notch hook. The clip hook is secured to the back support of the lower fitting slot. The clip hook is configured to detachably receive a U-shaped portion of a lower portion of a tool that is guided between the bending portions of the lower fitting slot and the sloped guiding face into the connecting notch hook.

Abstract: A handle includes a grip and a connector in connection with the grip for removable connection with a shank of a tool bit. The grip includes an extension. The connector includes a first section for connection with the extension of the grip and a second section for connection with the shank of the tool bit. The second section of the connector defines a space for receiving the shank of the tool bit. A stabilizer includes an insert for insertion in the space defined in the second section of the connector and a flange projecting from the insert for avoiding the insert of the stabilizer getting too deep to be pulled out. The second section of the connector defines an aperture in communication with the space. A bolt is driven through the aperture into the space so as to abut the insert of the stabilizer. The first section of the connector defines a space for receiving the extension of the grip. The extension of the grip defines a space for receiving the shank of the tool bit.

Abstract: A removable handle for use with a cooking implement, including a grip portion with a top surface, a bottom surface, a front end, and a back end. A support post wire with a first support post end and a second support post end, the first and said second support post ends being parallel, is securely attached to the grip portion. A lock wire with a hook end and an anchor end is securely attached to the grip portion. A button is disposed in the grip portion, the button being arranged and configured to deflect the hook end downwardly. The first and the second support post ends are arranged and configured for insertion into a pair of support recesses disposed on the cooking implement, and the hook end is arranged and configured to engage a portion of the cooking implement.

Abstract: A tool includes a tool bit and a handle. The tool bit includes a shank formed at an end thereof. The handle includes a joint formed at an end thereof for connection with the shank of the tool bit in a releasable manner. The joint defines a space for receiving the shank of the tool bit. The shank of the tool bit defines at least one recess. The joint includes at least one ball that can partially enter the at least one recess defined in the shank of the tool bit.

Abstract: The invention relates to an insertion latch for an ejectable pull handle system for installation of electronic devices into rack mounted computer systems. In particular, the invention comprises an insertion latch that has a compression member and a tension member that are compressed and placed in tension respectively when a latching head of the insertion latch is displaced. The latching head moves to its rest or latched position by a combination of forces supplied by the compression member and attention member. The insertion latch also has a leaf spring mounted through a channel of a mounting portion of the insertion latch. The leaf spring contacts a force application surface on the ejectable pull handle and biases that ejectable pull handle toward an intermediate position.

Abstract: A stick such as a ski-stick, walking stick or same, provided with a handle comprising a gripping element and a length-adjustable pole in addition to a regulating device that contains a joint and is arranged outside the pole, whereby the gripping element can be positioned at an angle to the pole and a tubular part of the pole can be pushed through the joint into the gripping element of the pole when the regulating device is oriented in a rectilinear position. This ensures that the regulating device is substantially protected against the effects of the environment and the diameter of the pole is increased to a lesser degree. In order to achieve this, a regulating element is respectively formed by the handle on a lower extension piece of the gripping element and a cap that is firmly connected to the upper end of the pole, whereby one respective regulating element is pivotally and moveably accommodated in a recess of the other regulating element.

Abstract: A handle for removing, carrying and otherwise manipulating a device is disclosed. The handle includes features that allow it to engage the mounting rails on other mounting features associated with the device. The handle is constructed such that when properly installed, pulling the handle causes the mounting rails to move both in the direction of the pulling force and perpendicularly thereto, toward each other. This allows the mounting rails to clear security features of the larger assembly, device bay, or housing in which the device is mounted or rests. The invention provides a mechanism to permit the quick and convenient removal of a device that would otherwise require simultaneous manipulation in two different places at the same time the device is pulled away from the larger assembly, device bay, or housing in which the device is mounted or rests.

Abstract: A handle for removing, carrying or otherwise manipulating a device is disclosed. The handle includes features that allow it to engage the mounting rails on other mounting features associated with the device. The handle is constructed such that when properly installed, pulling the handle causes the mounting rails to move both in the direction of the pulling force and perpendicularly thereto, toward each other. This allows the mounting rails to clear security features of the larger assembly, device bay, or housing in which the device is mounted or rests. The handle may be constructed so that it is removable, either with or without removal of the mounting assemblies or mounting rails. Further, the handle may be constructed to allow a user access to the front of a device while the handle is installed.

Abstract: A carpet slide for securement to ones foot as a recreational entertainment device. The slide includes a sheet of material having an upturn perimeter edge and it is secured to the sole of an athletic shoe or a two piece strap is secured to opposite perimeter edges for securing ones foot to the upper surface of the slide. This securing strap is constructed of hook and loop strapping for securement to the slide and about to the upper portion of ones foot using two straps of such material.

Abstract: A specialized tool for utilization within the chute of a concrete truck enabling efficient direction of liquid concrete via a raised gripping edge and strategically shaped, replaceable/disposable head, wherein a generally semi-circular shaped head facilitates compatibility with the discharge chute of a cement truck for assisting in the direction and placement of concrete, a gripping edge facilitates a comfortably secure reach into the discharge chute of a cement truck for scooping, pulling, plugging or otherwise controlling the flow of concrete and a replaceable blade head provides long-term efficient usage thereof, thereby enabling a user to efficiently deposit, apply and manage fresh liquid concrete from a concrete truck's chute as the concrete is being discharged.

Said invention comprises (i) continuous strips of flat handles (1) produced in such a way as to leave bridges (12) between said handles so as to be easily cut while being mounted on a package and (ii) adjustable guide rails (59) disposed so as to allow the ends of the handles (1) to be brought closer together and oriented such that the ends are positioned exactly at the base of the slits disposed on the package and intended to house said ends, while bending the body of the handle. The invention relates to the industrial and commercial production and distribution of packaging accessories.

Abstract: A detachable handle provides the holding portion over one end and a fitting apparatus over the opposite end. The fitting apparatus is integrated back to back by a upper slot body and a lower slot body, in which the center portion on the bottom of the lower slot body is installed a fixed springy plate hook. As mentioned in the structure of the handle, the lower slot body provides one kind of leg capable of flexibly extending to be fitted for integration and the lower slot body provides any part with a horizontal end rod, allowing to finish the integration by clipping the springy plate hook with the horizontal end rod. As a result, the said handle it can be integrated with other parts to the upper or lower slot body, or integrated with some parts located in the upper and lower slot body, hereby making the production of different types of handles for different parts unnecessary.

Abstract: A universally fitting, removable padded wraparound luggage handle cover includes a substantially square and planar interior sheet of a cushioning, preferably foam-like material. About the cushioning material is peripherally secured a top and a bottom sheet of a flexible high woven fabric. To the top sheet of the fabric is secured an elongate strip of hook-and-loop material having a width in a range of about 1 to about 3.5 centimeters and secured to the top sheet along one entire edge thereof. A second or bottom strip of hook-and-loop material, generally complemental in width to the top strip, is secured to the bottom sheet of fabric along an edge opposite to the edge at which the top strip, is secured and in which the respective fabric edges define a distance therebetween in a range of about 12 to about 17 centimeters. The bottom sheet of fabric is preferably provided with a transparent envelope having one free edge into which may be inserted owner identification or other information.

Abstract: A locking bracket for brooms that have a multi-sided locking section near the mounting end of the handle has a pair of spaced-apart locking arms that enable the bracket to be attached in the proper position against the locking section without passing the bracket over either end of the handle. When secured in position, faces on the locking arms engage faces on the locking section, limiting rotation of the handle. The bracket can be mounted in position by a plug that engages the unused handle hole on the broom head.

Abstract: The bag grip is utilized to grip and carry one or more plastic grocery or shopping bags. The bag grip folds over the bag handles for easier carrying of one or more plastic bags and prevents the bags from opening, tearing and cutting or cutting off the circulation in the user's hand. The grip is a trifold with a substantially oval shape having a rectangular center section with foldable, semicircular wings on opposite sides of the center section. The grip has neoprene front and back covers with a substantially rectangular neoprene cushioning pad in the center section. Each of the semicircular wings has hook and loop fastening material attached thereto so that the grip can be temporarily fastened around the loop handles of the plastic bag(s). Abstract: A faucet handle includes a hub, handle body and end cap. The handle body includes a first end with external threads and a second end with internal threads and a central bore extending between the first and second ends. The end cap includes a shank with a bore configured to receive a driver, such as a hex wrench, and threads to engage the internal threads of the second end. In use, a consumer inserts a driver through the central bore to engage the bore of the end cap and screw the end cap into the second end of the handle body. The handle body is then screwed into the hub.

Abstract: Various assist devices that provide support for entering and exiting a vehicle through a vehicle doorframe of the type having a striker mounted thereto are disclosed. The assist devices include a retainer adapted to removably engage the striker and a support member pivotably mounted to the retainer such that the support member will apply a clamping force to the striker when the support member supports at least a portion of a user's weight. Methods of providing support for entering and exiting a vehicle through a vehicle doorframe having a striker mounted thereto are also disclosed. The methods include placing at least a portion of a retainer between the doorframe and the striker, and rotating a support member, that is pivotably attached to the retainer, relative to the retainer until the support member engages the striker to thereby clamp the striker when the user's weight is supported by the support member.

Abstract: A detachable cup handle is provided and is constructed to be conveniently and detachably fastened to a cup. The detachably cup handle is also advantageously reusable. The detachable cup handle includes a curved hand grip section for holding by the user's hand, a vertical support section to support the hand grip section, and a retainer section for clamping on a rim of the cup. The retainer section includes a clamping wall portion for engaging a rim of the cup so as to interlockingly couple the detachable cup handle to the cup's rim. The clamping wall portion has a tapered construction for providing additional cup gripping/clamping means. In addition, the support section includes opposing arcuate support members to cradle the cup's body.

The structure includes a fastening base located at one end of the handle, a fastening end located at one end of the working part, and a fastening device. Abstract: A covering device for use with a door handle and interconnecting shaft extending from a hingedly secured door. The device includes an elasticized body having a substantially three dimensional shape with an inner face, an outer face, and an open inserting end defined around a narrowed neck of the body. The body further including a flexible and plasticized material which may be covered by a soft fabric outer layer. A resilient retaining portion, such as an elasticized ring is disposed around the neck in association with the open inserting end and for securing the body in place over the door handle and shaft. Frictional engagement is provided between the inner face of the elasticized body and the door handle surface in use and is preferably provided as an adhesive tacking surface which may be incorporated into an inner ply of covering device or spray applied.

Abstract: An auxiliary handle attachable to a tool having an elongated handle is disclosed. The auxiliary handle has a shaft with a gripping yoke at one end for manual gripping. At the opposite end of the shaft a contact surface is positioned which interfaces with the tool handle in abutting relationship. A clamp is positioned facing the contact surface for clamping the contact surface against the tool handle. The contact surface is angularly disposed so as to permit the auxiliary handle to be angularly oriented with respect to the tool handle. The contact surface is divided into two contact faces which engage the tool handle in spaced relation to each other. The clamp has a clamping piece with a contact region also divided into spaced apart contact surfaces for engaging the tool handle. The clamping piece is bolted to the shaft. A cross bolt and clips hold the attachment bolts to the sides of the shaft.

Abstract: A quick install dummy doorknob or lever comprises an exterior knob sub-assembly, an interior rose liner coupled to the exterior knob assembly, a knob catch, a retainer spring, and an interior knob. The knob catch is disposed inside the interior rose liner and includes a tooth for engaging the interior knob. The interior rose liner engages a pair of screws extending from the exterior knob sub-assembly. Rotation of the interior rose liner relative to the screws places the screws into retaining apertures in the interior liner, whereupon the screws can be tightened to hold the interior rose liner in position. The interior knob is inserted into a recess formed in the interior rose liner and engages the tooth on the knob catch through a slot formed in the recess.

Abstract: An improved welding torch wherein the connection between the torch body and handle is a frictional engagement and prevents any relative rotational movement of the torch handle and body while additionally providing an indexing mechanism for selective alignment of the torch body with a variety of surface contours on the torch handle. The torch body includes a plurality of radially projecting handle engagement ribs thereon and a radially projecting indexing pin receivable in one or more axial grooves in an end wall of the handle. The grooves are radially aligned with different surface contours on the handle such that when the handle is in place on the torch body, the ribs frictionally engage the handle and the indexing pin is disposed in one of the grooves preventing inadvertent relative rotation of the torch handle and body and aligning a selected handle contour with the torch body.

Abstract: A multi-plane gripping handle for use with a multitude of devices is provided which generally comprises a handle section, a thumb section and a butt surface. The size and shape of the handle section and thumb section are selected to optimize the surface contact between the gripping handle and the hand of the user. The handle section and the thumb section each occupy a separate plane and these in planes are arranged in a selected angular relationship with one another to further optimize the gripping surface contact between the hand and the handle. In an alternative embodiment, the gripping handle may be formed in a split-case construction such that alternative devices may be interchangeably inserted into the gripping handle and thus allow for the gripping handle to be used with various devices.

Abstract: The present invention provides an improved handle which may be used to releaseably hold various types of surgical instruments employed in medical or dental procedures. The handle is comprised of a grasping portion and a lock assembly that contains a retractable slider pin designed to engage one or more indentations provided with instruments intended for use with the handle. The lock assembly may be provided with at least one biasing member which holds the pin in an extended position thereby locking the surgical instrument to the handle. The instrument may be removed from the handle or rotated by the user retracting the pin to release the instrument from the handle. A system and a method of interchangeably using surgical instruments in the handle is also disclosed.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for securing a handle to a door includes a first clip fastened to the door, a second clip fastened to the door and a handle clamped to the door by the first and second clips. The clip has a flat surface with an aperture therethrough and two wings at one end. A bent or beveled portion at the other end of the flat surface allows the clip to clamp the inner wall of the handle. A fastener, such as a screw, is placed through the aperture in the clip and into the exterior surface of the door to secure the clip and the handle to the door.

Abstract: A device for facilitating manual gripping of pipes and connectors includes first and second elements hingedly interconnected and biased open by a spring element. Each element includes a channel with projections deployed to define gripping features for gripping a roughly cylindrical object of given outer diameter. The first and second elements provide grasp surfaces which, in the closed position, lie within a cylindrical volume of diameter four times the given outer diameter and generally circumscribe the object.

Abstract: An operating knob (1) includes an upper knob portion (11), a lower knob portion (12), and a neck portion (13) connecting the upper knob portion with the lower knob portion. The upper knob portion is hexagonal in shape and defines a first recess (111) in each of six side edges (112) thereof. The lower knob portion defines a plurality of second recesses (122) in a side edge (124) thereof. A screw hole (14) is axially defined through the lower knob portion into the upper knob portion. The number of second recesses is greater than the number of first recesses. When turning the knob, two to four fingers (21, 22) of the user rotate the upper knob portion in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction and a thumb (23) of the user pushes the side edge of the lower knob portion in the clockwise or anti-clockwise direction.

Abstract: A retrofit door latch attachment comprises a lever mounted pivotally to the convex surface of the hand grip of a push-button door latch. The lever has a first upper end aligned with push button actuator and a second lower end for ready access by children and the disabled. The lever does not impede normal use of the push button actuator. Preferably, a countersunk fastener is placed through aligned holes formed through both the lever and grip. More preferably, a recess or cup is formed in the first end of the lever for limiting relative side-to-side movement of the lever and actuator. A flexible boot, preferably added to the lever's upper end, envelopes the top of the actuator and excludes moisture-bearing weather and avoids freeze up in cold climates.

Abstract: A paint roller assembly is disclosed as including a handle that is configured for use with a variety of extension poles, each requiring a different type of connection with the handle. The handle includes a pole connector socket extending inwardly from one end thereof that is designed to receive a number of different pole connectors. The illustrated socket is provided with a tapered wall section and a circumferential groove, with the former being configured to provide a press fit attachment between the handle and connector and the latter being configured to provide a snap fit attachment between the handle and the connector.

The female component of the connector consists of an opening or cavity with female, receiving threads. In the case of a broom head, this is the opening within the head. The female component also has two opening sections of varying widths or diameters. The sections of the female component are each configured to threadably engage the respective threaded sections of the male component.

Abstract: A sailboat winch handle system has a locking plate that is mounted in a fixed configuration to the bottom of the winch handle plug and prevents the accidental removal of the winch handle from the socket of a winch. Normally, only downward and rotational forces are applied to the winch handle. The locking plate engages an interior surface of the winch socket when an upward force is excerpted upon the winch handle preventing the winch handle form accidentally being dislodged from the winch socket.

The device includes a tubular member having a first and a second end. A biasing device having a first and a second extremity is disposed within the tubular member so that the first extremity of the biasing device abuts against the first end of the tubular member. A piston having a first and a second termination is slidably disposed within the tubular member so that the first termination of the piston abuts against the second extremity of the biasing device such that the piston is urged by the biasing device axially away from the first end of the tubular member. A door engaging fastener is rigidly secured to the first end of the tubular member such that in use of the device, the door engaging fastener is disposed between the door and the first end of the tubular member.

Abstract: A universal luggage handle is provided for use with luggage to effectuate the moving of the luggage, with the luggage handle including a hand grasp, an intermediate member rotatably secured to the hand grasp, and a strap portion, with the strap portion secured to the intermediate member, and with the strap portion having fastening means to secure the strap portion to itself. The intermediate member has a base portion and at least one strap attachment portion. The hand grasp pivots relative to the intermediate member. The intermediate member has a gasket surrounding a section of the strap attachment portion, with the gasket being in contact with strap attachment portion, and with the gasket being in contact with the strap portion. The strap portion has a first side and a second side, with the first side being generally planar, but preferably having a raised portion. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the hand grasp is separated from the intermediate member by a grommet.

Abstract: A device and method for engaging a rounded knob so that the knob can be turned in a more rapid and ergonomically efficient manner. The claimed invention includes an auxiliary handle device. The auxiliary handle device includes a hub and a handle that extends radially away from the hub. The hub is configured to pass over the exterior of the rounded knob. Once the hub envelopes the rounded knob, the handle is rotated. As the handle is rotated, an interference fit is created between the interior of the hub and the knob. The interference fit transfers the rotational energy from the handle to the rounded knob, thereby rotating the rounded knob.

Abstract: A device for facilitating manual gripping of pipes and connectors includes first and second elements hingedly interconnected and biased open by a spring element. Each element includes a channel with projections deployed to define gripping features for gripping a roughly cylindrical object of given outer diameter. The first and second elements provide grasp surfaces which, in the closed position, lie within a cylindrical volume of diameter four times the given outer diameter and generally circumscribe the object.

The ridges and a guard portion help to minimize the chance of accidental contamination. The surgical light handle cover of the present invention is disposable, sterilizable and obviates the need for adhesives to attach the cover to the light handle.

Abstract: A detachable hand bar and foot step arrangement for a stroller for carrying an extra young child standing thereon includes a platform supported between a swinging bar and a back supporting stem of a back frame of the stroller such that a downward force which is the young child's weight applied on the platform is capable of evenly dispensing on the stroller in order to prevent the platform from insupportably breaking. The detachable hand bar is capable of adjusting its angle and location along a handle according to the standing position of the young child such that the young child is able to fitly hold the hand bar in the standing position.

Abstract: A device for attaching to a door knob which comprises a metal strip which has an arced width which clamps on to two peripheries of the door knob and which arced surface is also curved to encircle and contact 90% of the door knob diameter and which curved section has two free ends which are pulled into a tubular section by means of a hook bolt and end nut, the whole being assembled on to the door knob without the use of any tools or other attaching means and which complete device can be readily attached and removed for further installation on other door knobs as required.
