Abstract: A handle for a cosmetic product applicator can include a body fitted with an attachment end piece. The body can be generally flattened in shape and delimited by two parallel surfaces corresponding to the gripping faces, and a rounded edge. Each gripping face may be formed by a concave surface on the side of the median plane located between the two parallel surfaces, the two concave surfaces may be substantially symmetric and each shaped to form an area acting as a finger support. The handle may be detachable from the applicator at the attachment end piece and easily used with a complete series of specific applicators.

Abstract: A carrier for transporting silicon semiconductor wafers during semiconductor wafer processing operations including an enclosure, a door and a flange structured to interface with a machine so that the carrier can be lifted by the machine. A lift saddle connects the flange to the container so that the load on the flange is transferred to a part of the enclosure other than the top of the enclosure to prevent distortion of the enclosure to maintaining seal integrity between the enclosure and the door.

Abstract: A deformable sleeve for attachment to various products for use as a grip and/or to provide a stylish appearance. The deformable sleeve features two membranes that define a cavity filled with a formable material. The deformation of the sleeve results in greater comfort for the user where the sleeve is mounted on products that are manually manipulated or are otherwise contacted by the user. In one preferred embodiment, the sleeve can be mounted on a writing instrument for use as a grip. Alternatively, the sleeve c-an be filled with a formable material that will resume its original shape after being deformed.

Abstract: A quick-release handle for use with the working head of a cleaning tool is disclosed. The handle includes a quick-release coupling assembly positioned on one end of the handle and a button actuator positioned on the opposite end of the handle. The coupling assembly is configured to releaseably couple with a working head. The button actuator is operably connected to the coupling assembly such that coupling assembly may be disengaged from a working head through manipulation of the button actuator.

Abstract: A tool system is disclosed having a body including a handle extending therefrom, a detachable head including a working tool, and a multi-part connector for detachable connecting the head to the body, the connector including opposed, flexible members positioned on the body towards an end of the body and means on the head for connecting with the opposed flexible members, the opposed flexible members and the means for connecting with the flexible members working in concert to detachably secure the head to the body. The handle of the tool system can be offset with respect to the axis of the body and the detachable head.

Abstract: A durable carrying device for transporting multiple items. The carrying device has a plurality of holding members that are capable of securely holding several heavy items, such as plastic bags filled with consumer goods, for easy carrying by a user of the device. The holding members specifically are arranged such as to hold the items closely to one another to minimize swinging of the items as they are being carried. Further, the carrying device includes a comfortable handle that allows the user to carry items with reduced discomfort to the hand. The durable construction of each of its elements and of its overall structure allows the carrying device to withstand the rigors associated with item carrying. The seamless design of the carrying device and the smooth finish of its surface make it easy to clean.

Abstract: This invention is a method and apparatus by which potentially germ and virus infected doors can be safely and affectively opened without the user physically touching the potentially contaminated surface. The invention affectively hooks or grasps the preexisting door handle and allows the user to pull the door open. This invention also can be used to push doors open without physically touching potentially germ infected surfaces as well.

Abstract: Various aspects of the invention provide handles that can be attached to wire-like members. In one exemplary embodiment, a handle generally includes a handle portion, a retaining member, and a key member. The handle portion has a channel and an aperture extending from at least one outer surface of the handle portion into the channel. The channel is configured to receive at least a portion of a wire-like member therein. The retaining member is configured to be received within the channel. The retaining member has an aperture. The key member is configured to be engaged within the handle portion's aperture and the retaining member's aperture. Engagement of the key member within the retaining member's aperture can inhibit the egress of the retaining member from the channel to operatively trap at least a portion of a wire-like member within the channel, and, thereby, attach the handle portion to the wire-like member.

Abstract: A bag handle is disclosed that includes a rigid, elongated body having an upwardly facing top surface, a downwardly facing lower surface, opposing front and back surfaces, and a pair of opposing side surfaces. A pair of hooks extend at each side surface outwardly therefrom proximate the lower surface of the body and generally parallel to each side surface. Preferably each hook extends above the top surface and terminates in a radiused point. A pair of biased locking means each comprise a biasing means, such as a coiled metal spring, and a hook engagement member, such as a glass marble. The hook engagement member protrudes from one side surface and is urged to contact one of the hooks by the biasing means. A method of use is disclosed for selectively engaging and disengaging a plurality of plastic grocery bags with the hooks and the hook engagement means.

Abstract: A window egress assistance handle having a base, at least one finger grip with two legs, multiple offset orifice fixation ports for receiving multiple securing devices such as set screws or thumb screws, and a base midline grooved channel receiver. To temporarily install and use the handle, the handle is positioned to envelope an integrated extruded window sash lift in the grooved channel receiver, and the securing devices disposed in the multiple offset fixation port are engaged to create a binding compressive force upon enveloped sash lift. The window can then be lifted or slid by applying force to the finger grips. The handle can be adjusted to the user's strength, size, and dimensions, and installed and removed without use of tools or creating permanent damage to the framework of the window.

Abstract: A tubular handle for a manually guided implement, especially a power chain saw or the like, is provided. The handle has an essentially circular cross-section and at least one mounting portion for fixing the handle to the implement. In the area of the mounting portion, the circular cross-section is flattened to form an at least approximately planar abutment portion, beyond which a circular cross-sectional portion is retained. The abutment portion is provided for fixing the tubular handle to the implement.

Abstract: Implements including handles and working ends and product lines thereof are described. The implements are typically cleaning implements, such as mops mad brooms, but may be garden implements such as hoes and rakes. Various methods for using such implements are described. In one aspect, the methods relate to shipping the implements, each of which includes the same overall, length. In another aspect, the methods relate to displaying the implements, most often in a retail environment for presentation to consumers.

Abstract: A quick disconnect assembly used for hand powered tools which consist of two separate units: a quick disconnect receiving assembly and an implement head attachment. When used together they will allow for a quick connection and release between a tool head and a handle. The first unit is a female receiving unit (quick disconnect receiving assembly) which consist of a exterior cylindrical shaped body throughout. One end being of cylindrical shape (handle sleeve and handle end) to receive a round to oval shaped handle and the opposite end having a hex shaped interior body (hex shaft receiver and hex shaft end). The second unit making up the quick disconnect assembly device is a male hex shaft implement head attachment.

Abstract: A gripping assistive device which can be used by an individual to utilize various utensils. The device generally includes a handle with a bore passing through the interior. An appendage attaches to the handle and extends outwardly from the handle transversely from the bore. A fastening device such as a screw clamp is employed on the appendage so that the various utensils can be attached to the appendage. A second screw clamp may optionally be employed on one end of the handle so that utensils can be attached directly to the handle. An optional strap for fastening the device to the individual's hand and an optional extension can be provided for individuals with limited arm range mobility.

Abstract: A pair of devices for lifting boxes is disclosed. Each device comprises a handle, lifting surface, lifting plate and a plurality of lifting members in the form of angled teeth. During use, the teeth of each device are inserted into opposite sides of a corrugated box. A user is then able to lift the box using the temporary handles. The teeth are sized to avoid damage to the contents of the box. The teeth may be punched into a removable metallic lifting plate. The design of the teeth provides a sufficient amount of surface area for maintaining the box. During non-use the lifting plate may be removed and re-attached in an opposite orientation to prevent injuries which may be caused by the teeth.

Abstract: A culinary implement is disclosed that includes a handle, an attachment arm, and a rotatable head portion. The handle has an elongate configuration, and the attachment arm extends beyond an end of the handle. The attachment arm incorporates a first part of an attachment mechanism that is located proximal an end of the attachment arm. The head portion incorporates a second part of the attachment mechanism. The second part is joinable with the first part to secure the head portion to the attachment arm, and the second part is separable from the first part to detach the head portion from the attachment arm. When the head portion is detached, one of a plurality of alternate head portions may be secured to the attachment arm.

Abstract: Apparatus for grooming and body care has a handle at a first, an elongate shaft, and a connector at a second end for removably attaching a selection of grooming and body care devices. The shaft is bendable in one mode of operation to enable the user to configure the apparatus for reaching certain parts of the body. In a second mode of operation, the shaft is rigid and remains in the position to which it was bent in the first mode. The apparatus can then be used without having it bend while in use. The selection and use may all be done with one hand. The grooming and body care devices may include sponges, brushes, combs, and shoehorns.

Abstract: A trowel assembly includes a blade plate, a connecting strip fixed on the blade plate and formed with an insertion recess, and a handle mounted on the connecting strip and having a downward extended support post provided with an insertion block inserted into the insertion recess of the connecting strip. Thus, the connecting strip is fixed on the blade plate in a riveting manner, and the handle is combined with the connecting strip in a screwing manner, so that the trowel assembly can be assembled easily, rapidly and conveniently, thereby facilitating the user mounting the trowel assembly.

Abstract: A cleaning tool having a clamp-on handle assembly. The clamp-on handle assembly includes a slidable locking element which can be moved from an open position, wherein the handle assembly can be placed over a handle portion of the cleaning tool, to a locked position wherein the locking element clamps the handle assembly securely onto the handle portion of the cleaning tool. Advantageously, no external tools or fastening implements are required to secure the handle assembly to the handle portion of the cleaning tool. The handling assembly allows the user to use the cleaning tool to reach elevated areas or other areas that would be difficult to reach with the user holding directly onto the handle portion of the cleaning tool.

The device is characterized by the special configuration of the buckle (2), as well as of the quick unfastening and safety features.

Abstract: A grab handle and bezel assembly includes a bezel and a grab handle capable of being received within the bezel. The grab handle is generally non-circular in cross section for properly locating the grab handle within the bezel and for preventing rotation of the grab handle. For example, the grab handle can be D-shaped in cross section having an arcuate surface portion defining a Class “A” surface that is visible to an occupant, and a flat surface portion defining a Class “B” surface that is not visible to the occupant. In this manner, an amount of Class “A” surface treatment of the grab handle can be minimized, thereby reducing the cost of the grab handle and bezel assembly. The grab handle and bezel assembly can securely mounted to a trim component, such as a door bolster, by disposing opposite ends of the grab handle between opposing walls of the bezel and passing a fastener through the door bolster, the bezel and the grab handle.

The support/pad has at least one pliable coil spring in the shape of a flexible tube capable of being bent into multiple positions and holding any of the positions until it is again bent. The adjustable support can be made into a neck supporting pillow, or a cushion adapted to be removably attached to the back of a chair, to support the back of a seated user.

The handle is composed of a handhold pipe, a garnering rack, several supporting rods and covers, a middle positioning body and two side positioning bodies. Abstract: The present invention is directed to a container with a removable handle. The container has spaced first and second knobs. The handle is configured as a split tubular member having a central portion and spaced internal first and second contoured portions proximate opposite ends thereof. Each of the contoured portions is configured to receive one of the knobs. The first and second contoured portions tensionably engage the first and second knobs when the central portion is grasped by a user. A method of securing the handle to the container is also disclosed.

Abstract: A jack handle includes a handle arm having first and second ends, a jack driver having a coupling shaft, and a spring clip detachably securing the jack driver to the handle arm. The first end of the handle arm forms a socket receiving the coupling shaft. The spring clip has a protrusion resiliently deflectable between a locking position interlocking with the coupling shaft to secure the jack driver to the handle arm and a releasing position free of the coupling shaft such that the jack driver is released from the handle arm. Preferably, the spring clip encircles the periphery of the handle arm at the socket, the handle arm has an opening at the socket, and the protrusion of the clip extends through the opening and into the groove to interlock the jack driver with the handle arm.

Abstract: An apparatus providing a pistol grip for fire fighters hand-holding a hose comprising a transversal member medially and contiguously disposed of two matched engaging members. The present invention attaches to any hose location with a wrist rotation whereby a portion of hose is inserted into a transversal member and then other different adjacent hose portions are abuttably received by each of the two engaging members, respectively. The position of the present invention along the hose is changed by rotatably relieving the abut table contact with the hose by pivoting an obliquely disposed handle and then sliding along the hose to the new location thereon.

Abstract: Disclosed is a cleaning implement with a removable cleaning element comprising a base member having a first end with an annular toothed edge and at least one resilient retention member positioned intermediate the toothed edge and a second end of the base member, each resilient retention member having a stop surface facing the second end. An annular locking member is movably mounted on the base member, the locking member having an inner wall surface and at least one ledge projecting from the inner wall surface and adapted to abut the retention member stop surface. The inner wall surface of the locking member further includes a threaded portion intermediate an end of the locking member and the ledge. Also included is a cleaning element mounting member having an annular toothed edge for complementary engagement with the toothed edge of the base member and an outer wall surface with a threaded portion for threaded engagement with the threaded portion of the locking member.

Abstract: A latch assembly is provided having a deadbolt rod assembly, and a first lock actuating means for moving the latch assembly between an unlocked position, wherein the deadbolt rod assembly is in a retracted position and a locked position, wherein the deadbolt rod assembly is in an extended position. The latch assembly further includes a second lock actuating means for moving the latch assembly between the unlocked position, the locked position, and a lockout position wherein the deadbolt rod assembly is extended but cannot be retracted by the first lock actuating means.

Abstract: A simple, strong handle for use as a grip for holding articles is disclosed comprising a carabiner-like snap hook provided with a gripping surface of the proper size and shape to be comfortably held by a human hand. The snap hook has a generally C-shaped back portion on which the gripping surface is disposed, and a gate selectively attached to the back portion, forming a closed loop. Articles such as shopping bags and animal leashes received by the snap hook and secured by the gate may be held comfortably by the grip. The snap hook may be made of a variety of materials and shapes depending on the application and requirements of the user.

Abstract: A connector for connecting an extension handle with the handle of a tool. The connector includes a locking mechanism in the form of at least one shoulder on the connector engaging a hole in the tool handle. The shoulder (1) is connected to a knob via a tongue which is integral with the connector and the knob is placed such that it is located outside the tool handle. The front part of the connector may be split into two halves by a slit. The connector hold the tool firmly. Also, it is easy to disconnect the tool from the connector.
