  • Patent number: 8307496
Abstract: The present invention relates to a door closer comprising a cylinder body and a telescopic rod, wherein a one-way air intake valve is provided in the cylinder body to take in air in one way in an internal cavity of the cylinder body when the door is opened. The internal cavity of the cylinder body is divided into two automatically pressurizeable and automatically compensatable air cavities. When the door is opened or closed, the air inside the internal cavity of the cylinder body flows cyclically in the two air cavities. The door closer ensures air substantially flows cyclically in a cylinder body, reduces pollution caused by dusts in air into and out of the cylinder body to the lubricant oil in the cylinder wall, guarantees the lubricating effect of the lubricant oil, enables the door closer to operate normally and effectively prolong the service life of the door closer.

Abstract: A pneumatic door closer with a protective external telescoping cylinder and angled handhold. Such a closer is generally outfitted with a structural tubular support that follows the telescoping and collapsing of the closer's piston and that has sufficient stiffness to limit the stresses imposed on the piston throughout its extension. The support provides a resistance to perpendicular force. Moreover, when the piston is collapsed within the exterior chamber, the support pivots to the exterior chamber with bushing(s) fixed to the end of the support that travel along the length of the exterior column as the closer telescopes or collapses, to permit continued smooth sliding motion throughout the extension stroke.

Or pushing the drawer back can make the slide block slide out of the positioning concave, meanwhile, the elastic member pulls the drawer back to its original position. Furthermore, since the angle between the slide surface of the positioning concave of the positioning member and the track is obtuse, it is easy for the slide block to slide in and out, so that the drawer can be easily positioned and unlocked from the positioned state.

The catcher (2) is provided to be reciprocatingly rotatable between a standby position and a rotated position, captures the striker body (1) at the standby position, and rotates forward to the rotated position. Braking of the braking device (5) is applied to a rotation toward the rotated position of the catcher (2) through the linkage gear member (30).

Abstract: A door closer that integrally incorporates a door-opening-assistance device, and that therefore eliminates the need for unnecessary troublesome adjustment between parts, and whose number of parts is reduced, making said door closer compact. The door closer 1 includes a closer 1a that includes a pinion 5 that rotates in the forward and reverse directions when the door is opened or closed, respectively. A cylinder 9 is meshed with the pinion 5 and moves forward and backward. A closing spring 14 energizes the door in the closing direction via the cylinder 9and the pinion 5. A opening-assistance device 1b that includes an opening spring 22 that stores an opening force in the door-opening direction due to the movement of the cylinder 9 when the door is opened. Locking mechanisms 27, 28, and 29, that—when the door is opened—lock the opening spring 22 under an opening-force-storing condition. An unlocking mechanisms 23 and 24 that—when the door is closed—unlock the locking mechanisms.

Abstract: A non-contact apparatus removes translational energy (slows movement) of a first magnetic assembly when it is moved through the magnetic field of a second magnet. The first magnetic assembly contains a magnet that can rotate, such as a diametrically magnetized cylindrical magnet in a cylindrical cavity. Rotation of the first magnet does work against a predetermined drag. The apparatus also forms a non-contact magnetic coupling that holds a predetermined relative position. The apparatus can be used as a door catch that slows down and quietly stops a door at a predetermined position.

Abstract: A shock absorbing device uses a damper including a cylinder enclosing a viscous fluid; a piston rod; and a piston dividing the interior of the cylinder in two axially separated parts. The piston is connected to the piston rod and has an orifice communicating the two parts. The piston includes an inner member integrally connected with the piston rod, and an outer member disposed about an outer perimeter of the inner member and configured to be axially movable with respect to the inner member. The inner and outer members are configured to define a gap therebetween through which the viscous fluid can flow, and to be biased away from each other by a spring disposed therebetween. The inner and outer members are arranged so that the gap is reduced as the amount that the inner member protrudes into the outer member increases, to thereby define a variable orifice.

The housing contains a damping fluid in the cavity thereof and a resistance element which can be displaced relative to the dumping fluid and connected to an actuating element protruding from the housing. During at least one part of the pivoting movement of both pieces of furniture, said actuating element is drivingly connected to the second piece of furniture and transfers the movement distributed to the second piece of furniture to the resistance element. The damping device is arranged in the region of at least one of the hinges which pivotally couples both pieces of furniture, and whereby either the damping housing and/or the actuating element engages with one of the mounting element of the corresponding hinges, at least during the damping process.
