Abstract: A baby bib includes a first panel being of an elongated construction and having a pair of opposed leg segments extending upwardly to serve as a closure about the neck of the wearer. A neck liner embraces a portion of the periphery of the panel in the area including at least a portion of the legs, and is of a construction which provides a snug and flexible line of contact between the bib and the neck. A second panel of an absorbent material may be removably mounted upon the first panel. The first panel includes a pocket located at a lower edge to collect materials which fall upon the bib and are not retained by the second panel.
Abstract: A multi-purpose bib comprised of material and being generally in rectangular form having first and second long edges, first and second short edges, and a first surface and a second surface. One of the long edges of the bib has a neck cut-out portion. An elongated fastener is secured on the first surface, disposed horizontally to a long edge, and located near the corner formed by the intersection of the first long edge and the first short edge. Another elongated fastener is secured to the second surface, disposed horizontally to a long edge, and located near the corner formed by intersection of the second long edge and the first short edge. The two elongated fasteners are releasably securable to each other by hook and loop fasteners and when secured to each other form a cup portion. The material may be water resistant and washable, and there is a means for securing the neck cut-out portion to the neck of an adult or infant. The long and short edges may have decorative eyelet trim for aesthetic purposes.

The adhesive material forms a first adhesive that extends within a ring-shaped region proximate an edge margin of the flexible member, the first adhesive being releasable from the garment for exposing the label. A marginal portion of the flexible member is folded against a facing portion of the flexible member for forming a double thickness of the flexible member with the edge margin being spaced inwardly from an outer perimeter of the patch. A second adhesive secures the marginal portion to the facing portion, the marginal portion having a corner width at locations of minimum radius of the outer perimeter, the corner width being less than half of the minimum radius for limiting projections of the perimeter margin away from the facing flexible material.
Abstract: A compound bib having a primary bib member for protecting the exterior surface of garments at the chest of the bib wearer and a secondary bib member for protecting the chest and adjacent front neck area under surface of the garments of the wearer from spill soilage. Preferably, both the primary bib member and the secondary bib member are each a laminate composed of a liquid absorbent outer layer and a liquid impermeable inner layer. In use, the secondary bib member is tucked under all the garments of the wearer so that it lies adjacent the front of the neck and abutting the chest skin of the wearer. Accordingly, in the event a spill runs down the neck of the wearer, the secondary bib member will serve as a shield thereagainst with respect to the wearer's garments.

Abstract: Disposable adherent collars based on low cost supple sheets carrying a low-adherency pressure sensitive adhesive are disclosed. The adherent collars of the present invention are significantly more comfortable to wear than prior art adherent collars due to the suppleness of the sheet used in the collars, and to the low-adherency character of the PSA, achieved preferably through the use of a discontinuous layer of PSA material. Because of the suppleness of the sheet the low-adherency adhesive is effective to hold the sheet in place.
