A particular method is provided for treating a fountain solution including simultaneously exposing the fountain solution to gas microbubbles and high-frequency ultrasound. A particular device is also provided, including a compartment for holding a reservoir of fountain solution, a gas microbubble emitter configured to emit microbubbles into the compartment, and a high-frequency ultrasound-emitter configured to emit ultrasound signals into the compartment. The high-frequency ultrasound may be higher than 100 kHz.

    Abstract: A filter installation has a pivotably mounted flap (13), a filter head (15) mounted on the flap, a filter cartridge (16) mounted on the filter head. Flexible piping (18,19) is provided for supplying fluid to be filtered to the filter head and removing filtered fluid from the filter head. The flexible piping allows the flap (13) to be pivoted to an access position in which the cartridge is readily accessible for installation or removal. The installation is particularly suitable to be used on a vehicle such as a tractor in which the pivotable flap is the door on a battery box or other compartment of the vehicle. The filter cartridge can be used to filter bio-fuel for an engine of the tractor or to filter hydraulic fluid or transmission fluid.

The method comprises the following steps: (a) cooling the coke-cooling wastewater produced in a delayed coking process to 5-55° C. under 0.1-0.25 MPa absolute pressure, to obtain cooled coke-cooling wastewater; (b) subjecting the cooled coke-cooling wastewater to solid-liquid separation, to obtain a coke breeze phase and a liquid phase; (c) further separating the obtained liquid phase, to obtain an oil phase and a water phase; and (d) further discharging water from the obtained oil phase, to obtain the separated oil phase. The present invention also provides an equipment for carrying out the method.

When the separator is operating, the surface portion of the aqueous fluid is drawn into each corresponding skimmer hose and transferred to the separator by a pickup hose. The separator separates oil, debris and any sludge that may be in the aqueous fluid to provide a substantially filtered aqueous fluid. The substantially filtered aqueous fluid is then returned to the reservoirs through an exit hose.
