  • Patent number: 11145496
Abstract: A fastening system for attaching two components with a spring force is disclosed. The fastening system utilizes O-rings to provide the spring force, eliminating the need for any metal components. The O-ring may be disposed in an O-ring holder that has a plurality of spokes. When compressed, indentations are created in the O-ring by the spokes. The number of spokes and their size and shape determine the spring force of the fastening system. In another embodiment, vertically oriented O-rings are utilized. The fastening system may be used to fasten various components of an ion source.

Abstract: The purpose of the invention is to remove the excess air in an opened and, partially used bottle containing effervescent beverages. Further use of the invention can be employed when viscous substances are contained. This is achieved by rotating a base of a bottle that is connected to a tab at the bottom of an inner bladder liner that is contained inside a bottle. The invention shows a bottle system for dispensing and maintaining effervescent beverages fresher for a longer period of time after a bottle has been opened. The bottle also improves the dispensing of thick substances found in many products that have viscous properties. The system offers a more efficient, easy solution for the dispensing of such substances from their containers by employing a collapsible inner bladder liner contained inside a bottle.

Abstract: A puncture free bottle cork has a body and a cap for covering a bottle opening. The body has at least one channel defined therein for receiving a syringe or an infusion bottle connector. The body is composed of an exterior body and a flange integrally formed with and extending downward from the exterior body for direct insertion of the bottle opening. The number of the at least one channel corresponds to number of the syringe or the infusion bottle connector such that when the number of the at least one channel is one, injection and drawing of medication to/from the bottle is using the single one channel and when the number of the at least one channel is plural, injection and drawing of medication to/from the bottle is using different channels.

  • Patent number: 8480895
Abstract: Liquid filter assemblies including an upper sample reservoir, a sample filter and a lower storage bottle are supported by a vacuum base. The base has a vacuum inlet port and, for connection to the liquid filter assembly, a vacuum outlet port. A vacuum is provided through the base to below the sample filter to draw sample liquid through the sample filter into the storage bottle. The base may include an auxiliary vacuum outlet port for connection with additional devices. The bases may be connected from one to another through auxiliary vacuum outlets and the vacuum inlets to make a chain of liquid filter assemblies supplied from one vacuum source. Alternatively, one base may include multiple vacuum outlet ports so that it may support and supply vacuum to a plurality of liquid filter assemblies.

Abstract: A storage container includes a jar and a cap removably connected to the jar. The jar has a cavity defined by a first base and a first wall extending upwardly from the first base. A first alignment indicator is disposed on an outer surface of the first wall. A cap is removably connectable to the jar. The cap has an upper portion connected to a lower portion by a connecting member. The lower portion has a second base and a second wall extending downwardly therefrom. A second alignment indicator is disposed on an outer surface of the second wall of the lower portion. The first and second alignment indicators are aligned to substantially prevent misalignment of the cap with respect to the jar when connecting the cap to the jar.
