Abstract: The present invention concerns a closure for a container (1). The closure contains an additive to be added to the content of the container (1) at the first opening of the container (1). The closure comprises a cap (2), an insert (4) and a lid (11) covering a compartment (15) receiving the additive. The compartment (15) is defined by a doomed or conical centre part (5) of the insert (4), an inner wall (14) of the cap (2) and the lid (11). The additive is added to the content of the container (1) in that the inner wall (14) of the cap (2) leaves a sealing contact with the centre part (5) of the insert (4) when the cap (2) is unscrewed, giving access to openings (10) of the insert (4).

Abstract: A bottle cap having a filling function for an object to be brewed is interconnected to a container's spout, including an outer cover cap and an inner sleeve, in which the outer cover cap has a top plate, an outer ring body and an inner ring body, both of which are extended from the top plate, and between which a spacing room is formed. According to the invention, the inner sleeve is fitted to an outer circumferential edge of the inner ring body, such that a storage room for storing an object to be brewed is formed between the inner ring body and the inner sleeve having a bended edge abutted against a side face of the spout. In addition, a sectional trough is arranged at one side far away the bended edge of the inner sleeve. Thereby, when the outer cover cap moves toward the container, the storage room will be opened to make the object to be brewed automatically filled into the container.

The improved cap has a central button feature in its top panel that can move slightly upward or downward with respect to the remainder of the cap. When a container is filled, liquid Nitrogen is added just before the cap is applied. The liquid Nitrogen turns into gas and creates pressure in the container, causing the button to rise. When a consumer opens the cap, the gas is released and the button returns to its normal (down) position, or if pressure is accidentally lost the button returns to its normal (down) position. Thus indicating loss of pressurization and possible resulting spoilage, or will indicate that the container has been open, and may contain only partial product.

In one example, the container includes an upper portion having a finish defining a longitudinal axis and an opening into the container. A shoulder region is integrally formed with and extends from the upper portion. A sidewall portion extends from the shoulder region to a base portion. A tamper evident (TE) band is formed on the finish and defines an outermost surface of the plastic container above the shoulder region. A neck defining a cylindrical sidewall is integrally formed with and extends between the finish and the shoulder region. The neck defines a uniform cylindrical sidewall along its entire height between the finish and the shoulder region. The container further includes a debossed support flange defined on the upper portion. The debossed support flange defines a diameter less than a diameter defined by the TE band.

The bottle cap includes an outer protective cap which has a support tube therein so that the inner upper cap is fitted into the support tube in such a way as to rotate along with the outer protective cap, and covers an upper end of the inner upper cap and a surface of the bottle.

The annular sleeve is joined about the containment vessel adjacent the open end and has first and second lug members extending radially outwardly. The metallic cap has first and second lug members for cooperative engagement with the first and second lug members on the sleeve. Cooperative engagement between the first and second mating lugs and the first and second lug members encloses the liquid within the containment vessel.

The interior surface of the skirt portion, below the closure thread, defines an array of alternating grooves and lands, which together define a plurality of circumferentially spaced, vertically extending strengthening ribs on the inside surface of the skirt portion. The skirt portion thus exhibits desirably enhanced column strength, thereby facilitating efficient formation by “stripping” from an associated core pin during molding. The device includes a housing and a cap which receives a portion of the bottle neck and rotates relative to the housing. A spiraling cam surface provides a mechanism during rotation of the cap to move a securing member between a secured position to engage the bottle neck and an unsecured position to disengage from the bottle neck. A locking mechanism is provided to prevent rotation of the cap to keep the device locked on the bottle neck.

A moldable material is introduced into a mold cavity to form the closure device. The device is removed from the mold component by moving the blades along a path defined by tracks formed in the mold component that is generally along a vertical axis of the mold component, wherein the path includes a radially outward component, and the moving of the blades relieves the back-lock of the lug formed on the closure device.

A timing device is housed within a medicine camp, with a diaphragm housed below the timing device. Upon removal of the cap from the bottle or container, the rod loses contact with the timing device, and the timer is reset. The cap may comprise multiple pieces, so the cap may be used in child-proof mode by the engagement and disengagement of splines on the cap housing and a cap insert. Means are supplied for enabling the constant engaging of the splines.

The drinking implement includes first and second sections, the first section being rotatable between retractable and locked configurations. Contents of the container may be accessed when the second section is in the locked configuration. Abstract: An internally threaded plastic closure in accordance with the present invention includes an array of axially extending, circumferentially spaced internal ribs which intersect the internal thread formation of the closure. By this arrangement, vent passages are defined between adjacent ones of the internal ribs, thus providing the closure with desirable gas venting characteristics, while avoiding the provision of vent grooves extending into the inside surface of the closure side wall, which can undesirably impair the strength of the side wall. By the present construction, the amount of polymeric material from which the closure is formed can be desirably reduced, while maintaining the desired dimensional characteristics of the closure, to facilitate use with existing containers and high-speed capping equipment.

A decorative overcap 102 is coupled with a bottle closure 103 which may or may not already be secured on the bottle 104. The decorative overcap 102 can be coupled to the bottle closure 103 with adhesive 105, by interference fit or by interlocking fit. Additionally the method for coupling could be achieved by use of materials such as the overcap 102 being made of a heat shrink material or the bottle closure 103 being made of an expanding material. Additionally the method can be done mechanically or manually. The bottle closure assembly can be fixed or removably affixed. Once the decorative overcap 102 is coupled with the bottle closure 103, creating the assembly 101, an ordinary bottle 104 is transformed into a decorative bottle 100.
