Abstract: The invention relates to a stopper capsule, having an axial direction, including a shell, with a head, a skirt, and a joint, where a) the joint is a form joint, b) the form joint has b1) a resilient layer, a set of adjacent layers, b2.1) a barrier layer, b2.2) a malleable support layer with the function of providing the set of adjacent layers a global malleable property such that the joint can be shaped without creation of folds, b2.3) an outer layer having an outer surface which can be compressed by the axial compression resulting from stoppering such as to match the form of the mouth of the neck. The invention further relates to a method of production of the capsule and a method of stoppering.

Such configurations may comprise various aperture shapes, sizes, and configurations and various shapes, textures, configurations, and dimensions of the lid and surface of the can. A beverage can may comprise various exterior shapes such as a tapered shape, a faceted shape, a pint glass shape and the like. In embodiments, the beverage can may comprise various types of nucleation devices. In embodiments, various external packaging may be used with one or more beverage delivery cans.

Abstract: Containers and components thereof for use in the medical industry and methods to manufacture the same are described. An example tab for use with a medical container includes opposing sheets sealed to define an open ended chamber into which a port is to be at least partially positioned. The port is to enable access to the medical container. The tab includes a tear seal defined by each of the opposing sheets and a first guide positioned on a first side of each of the tear seals. The tab includes a second guide positioned on a second side of each of the tear seals, wherein the first and second guides are to enable a tear to propagate substantially between the guides and adjacent the tear seals.

Abstract: A container having tamper evident and resistant features includes a tray, a cover and a hinge defining a hinge axis and connecting the tray and cover for relative rotation about the hinge axis between a closed position and an opened position. The container also includes a first tab provided on one of the cover and tray and located radially interiorly of the hinge axis and a second tab provided on the other of the cover and tray and located radially interiorly of the hinge axis, wherein the first and second tabs are spaced relative to each other such that a user may grasp the first tab with one hand and the second tab with another hand and relatively pull the first tab and the second tab away from each other to tear the hinge and separate the cover from the tray.

Abstract: The current invention provides a container, a lid, a combination of the two, and a method of using the same. The container has a base and a sidewall extending upward from the base forming a continuous sidewall around the base. The upper portion of the sidewall has a rim and a skirt around the perimeter. The skirt has a removable tear tab to allow access to a lid for removing the lid from the container. The lid also has vents for air to exit the container, thereby preventing rising of the lid in low pressure areas. The vents further prevent entry of air into the container when the sealed container is taken to areas of higher pressure. A method of filling the container leaving an air gap between the product and the lid and utilizing the aforementioned vents is also provided.

Abstract: A closure comprising a solid colour spout and a transparent overcap is adapted to be sealed to a container neck by means of a double-sided foil. The overcap has a depending valve, which engages with the spout to hold these components together prior to assembly to the container. The spout has a flange adapted to seat on a rim of the container neck and an annular wall that is received within the container neck. The foil is welded to the flange and is also used to weld the closure to a rim of a container neck of standard threaded design. The overcap can screw to an external thread on the container neck. The primary ex-factory seal is provided by welding the assembled closure to the neck. The secondary seal is provided by the engagement of the overcap valve with the spout. The invention discloses an improved method of assembly.

The symbol has an interior portion generated by a plurality of pulsed rasterized laser dots defining further regions of ablated coating.

Abstract: A packaging material 1 is configured to pack a viscous product having one surface, an opposite surface, and side surfaces. The packaging material 1 includes a sheet 2 having a first surface portion 7 configured to cover the one surface of the viscous product, side surface portions 8-1 to 8-4 configured to cover the side surfaces, and second surface portions 9-1 to 9-4 disposed at the opposite surface, and tear tape 3 adhered to the sheet to cut the sheet. The tear tape is provided to start from the side surface portion or the second surface portion and to be branched into a first branched tape 3a and a second branched tape 3b across the first surface portion.

The disclosed apparatus can be implemented in a wide variety of ways, including but not limited to that of a food or beverage container. Abstract: A lid structure comprising a metal lid in the form of a disc (20) and a plastics ring (1). A lug (6) on the ring is snap-fitted around the exposed edge (25) of the lid. The lid structure can be fitted onto a filled container by application of a downward force until a lower profile (7) on the ring is forced around a curl or other feature on the top edge of the container. Outward expansion of the lid structure provides further retention on the container. The plastics ring of the lid structure has one or more weakened regions which can be torn to release the lid structure from the container without the need for any tool.

Abstract: Heat-sealable seal including a support bonded to an inner seal by a temporary adhesive is provided. The inner seal has a pull-tab which is folded back once on the surface of the inner seal in contact with the corresponding surface of the support. The inner seal includes a laminate having a reinforcing layer and a sheet of a conducting material, to the lower surface of which is applied a heat-sealing film. The temporary adhesive is applied to the whole surface of the inner seal once the pull-tab is folded back. The seal is characterized in that the laminate has over its entire thickness a notch from which the pull-tab emerges, and a fold line formed by the pull-tab once the pull-tab is folded back, the fold line having a shorter length than the length of the notch. Methods of producing the seal are also disclosed.

Abstract: A container and lid assembly is described for storing or transporting contents therein. Embodiments provide a protective security feature in the container and lid assembly. In at least some aspects of the invention a container body is disclosed having an opening, and a lid body is configured to cover the opening of the container body to form an assembly. An extended bumper portion is disposed at a periphery of the container body and substantially at the opening, wherein the bumper portion comprises a removable tear strip integrated into the material of the bumper portion. The tear strip is configured to prevent access to security mechanism of the assembly.

Abstract: A towelette dispenser is provided with an integrally molded lid. The lid has a central aperture for allowing access to a roll of towelettes maintained within a tub receiving the lid therein. The separation bar bridges the aperture, and provides a rip fence in the form of a fingered thimble that is angled with respect to the lid as a whole. The thimble is offset near one edge of the annular opening so that a user may access the back side thereof to thread an edge of the leading towelette through the thimble without having to remove the lid from the tub. A well is provided in the smaller portion of the aperture and a cap for the lid is provided with a stuffer tab to urge the leading edge of the next towelette into the well when the cap is closed. Barrier caps are also provided to seal the interior of the tub during shipment and storage before the first use of the towelette dispenser.

Abstract: A snap-on closure container is provided that comprises a body having a sidewall that is configured to engage a container neck. The snap-on closure also comprises a pull member for removing the closure from the container neck. The pull member includes an annulus that is dimensioned to fit tightly around the sidewall in a stowed position. The pull member is movable from the stowed position to a deployed position so that the pull member can be used to remove the closure from the container neck. Once the closure is removed, the sidewall is configured to re-engage the container neck, and the annulus is configured to be re-fitted around the sidewall in the stowed position so as to tighten the closure around the container neck.

Abstract: A stick-on condiment container may have a form similar to existing condiment containers commonly used in the fast-food industry (for example by McDonalds Corporation for its dipping sauces) with certain modifications. One modification is the addition of an adhesive layer applied on top of the sealing layer of the condiment container. Such an adhesive layer may be added at minimal cost. The adhesive layer enables the condiment container to be adhered to a fry carton, for example, in an orientation such that the greatest dimension is the depth dimension. The sealing layer, which is adhered to the fry carton, remains sealed; that is, the condiment container remains unopened. Another modification, therefore, is to define in the condiment container an alternative opening, for example by laser scoring.

Abstract: A container closure includes a body that is adapted to mount on an underlying container to cover a mouth opening into an interior region formed in the container. The container closure further includes flip-top caps mounted for movement relative to the body to open and close dispensing apertures formed in the body. The container closure also includes a tamper band coupled to the flip-top caps and to the body until a consumer opens the flip-top caps for the first time.

Abstract: The invention covers a number of alternative improvements to the prior art pull-tab used to open container such as soda cans. One improvement is by forming the nose of the pull tab at a certain angle to the body of the tab, thus allowing the user to tilt the tab thus lifting the pull tip higher and providing more room for the user to insert the finger tip under the pull tip thus making it easier to open the container. Another improvement is by rotating the pull tab a certain angle and making it follow a caming surface thus lifting the pull tip and again providing more room to insert the finger tip and making it easier to open the container.

Abstract: A catheter product package and method of forming same in which the package comprises a sheet material wrapped about the catheter product to form a package for the catheter product. The catheter product extends generally longitudinally within the package, and the sheet material extends from a point beyond the proximal end to a point beyond the distal end of the catheter product. The sheet material of the package is wrapped about the catheter product in a mariner defining confronting proximal end edges, confronting distal end edges, and confronting side edges. The confronting proximal end edges, distal end edges and side edges of the sheet material are joined by a seal after the sheet material is wrapped about the catheter product to define a sealed cavity. The sheet material has a tear strip affixed to it which causes the sheet material to tear along the tear strip to thereby cause the package to open along an intended opening line.

Abstract: A lockable, reversible lid for a container having a lip. The lid includes a cover having a perimeter, a first side and a second side. A locking tab pivotally extends from an end portion of the perimeter, such that the locking tab is disposable between the container body and the container lip when the lid is positioned upon the container with the first side disposed toward the container. The lid may be inverted by slipping the locking tab past the container lip, removing the lid, and setting the inverted lid on the container with the first side disposed away from the container.

Abstract: A closure cap for containers has a cap mantle, a circular head portion with a central axis and a pivoting member (4). The cap mantle extends in the same general direction as the central axis, and in which, the cap mantle has a ripping-open-section extending circumferentially with respect thereto. The pivoting member (4) is attached to the ripping-open-section and extends in the same general direction as the central axis. Towards the head portion, the ripping-open-section comprises a thin region, which extends circumferentially with respect to the central axis and which forms a rotational axis. The pivoting member comprises a stop member, which extends in the same general direction as the central axis at least up to the rotational axis. The form of the stop member and its relative, spaced position with respect to the head portion are such that pivoting of the pivoting member around the rotational axis causes the stop member to lie against the head portion.

Abstract: A cover for a container, in accordance with one embodiment that allows quick and easy access to products within the container. The cover for a container includes a pivot score line transversing the cover thereby forming a front cover portion and a back cover portion. The pivot score line pivotally connects the front cover portion and the back cover portion. The cover also includes a fastening device. The fastening device includes a first fastening component mounted on the front cover portion and a second fastening component mounted on the back cover portion. The first fastening component engages the second fastening component upon pivoting the cover at the pivot score line. Using the present embodiment, products may be repeatedly dispensed from a container quickly and easily.

The syringe assembly also includes a stop member configured for cooperation with a portion of the syringe barrel, upon relative movement of the outer member with respect to the inner member, to limit the outward travel of the plunger rod from the syringe barrel.

Abstract: A protective device for a castor includes a mounting ring, and a driving piece secured on the mounting ring. The mounting ring has an outer periphery formed with a breakable portion which is located beside the driving piece. The driving piece has a first end extending from the mounting ring and a second end formed with a pull tab. When the mounting ring is released by tearing the breakable portion, the mounting ring is directly driven by the driving piece to remove from each of the two rollers of the castor. Thus, the user only needs to apply a single action to pull the pull tab of the driving piece so as to remove the protective device from the castor completely so that the protective device can be removed from the castor easily and quickly.

Abstract: A non-detachable pull tab for a beverage container has a nose end, a lift end opposite the nose end, and a central webbing of a metallic material between the nose and lift end. The central webbing has a hinge region, a rivet island surrounding a rivet hole, a void region at least partially surrounding the rivet island, and a grab portion between the first void region and the lift end. The grab portion has an upper surface, a lower surface, and an aperture therethrough. The aperture is defined by a circumferential wall of the grab portion extending from the upper surface to the lower surface and includes a first segment of a reworked portion of a burr.

The container includes a peel tab for opening the container to thereby gain access to the container interior and contents therein. The container further includes pull tab provisions which must be at least partially separated from a container substrate, in order to gain access to the peel tab. Separation of the pull tab provisions provides indication of tampering or prior opening attempts. Related methods of providing such indication are also described.

The end closure comprises a central panel portion having a recessed fingerwell for facilitating access to and manipulation of a pull tab. Abstract: A can end that is attached to a metal can body with a bottom end forming a cavity that may be filled with food, liquid, etc. The can end is made of metal with a bead configuration located in the outer circumference of the can end that increases its resistance to deformation when subjected to high pressure cooking environments and assists in preventing the can end from separating along the frangible score.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a stopper including: an outer cap having an upper surface with a discharge hole and a side extending downward from the outer edge of the upper surface; and an inner cap having a cylindrical body and a protrusion and combined with the outer cap, in which the protrusion has an inclined surface extending upward from the lower edge of the body toward the center and a plurality of inlet/outlet holes formed around the inclined surface, and a container having the stopper. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a stopper that makes it possible to discharge a desired amount of liquid substance by removing slosh generated when the liquid substance is discharged out of a container, and a container having the stopper.
