  • Publication number: 20130153602
Abstract: Dispensing systems facilitates formation and dispensation of a use solution from a solid concentrate. The dispensing system may include a cartridge attached to a spray bottle or other dispensing apparatus. The cartridge defines a reservoir configured to store a solid product concentrate. A diluent, such as water, is placed in a fluid reservoir of the dispensing apparatus. Activation of a dispensing mechanism, such as a trigger, creates a vacuum in the cartridge reservoir, opening a valve and drawing diluent from the fluid reservoir into the cartridge reservoir and onto the solid product. The flow of diluent onto the solid product causes a portion of the solid product to be dissolved, eroded, and/or otherwise mixed with the diluent to form a use solution. Actuation of the dispense mechanism may further draw the use solution from the cartridge reservoir and dispense the use solution through the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 8220672
Abstract: A system for dispensing with a valve-less block including internal air passages coupled with an air source and internal dispensing passages coupled with a flow channel. The flow channel is disposed external to the block and couples with a fluid source. The dispensing passages are further configured in fluid communication with the air passages and place the flow channels in fluid communication with the air passages. A port is defined in the block to dispense fluid from the block. At least one sensor is coupled with each flow channel and indicates the presence of at least one of air and fluid in the flow channel. The detection of air or fluid ensures a location of a flow front of a fluid residing in the flow channel, and ensures the presence of an air gap that serves as a check valve to prevent mixing of fluids and to prevent backflow.

Abstract: The invention provides a storage container with two separate dispensers incorporated into its design. This device will make traveling easier, as well as reduce bathroom clutter. Fabricated of a squeezable recycled plastic material, this product comprises an elongated round or oval shaped unit comprised of two chambers positioned one atop the other. Jen's 2 in 1 is produced in a variety of sizes to accommodate products contained within. Appropriates size are approximately four to twelve inches in height and two to six inches in width. Both ends of the unit are flat, thus this container easily stands upright when stored resting on the top or the bottom. As mentioned, Jen's 2 in 1 is divided in half at the center of the unit by means of a plastic partition, thus creating two separate chambers for storing two different products.
