Abstract: A cleaning device including a spray bottle, roller, and scrubber apparatus. The roller is positioned about the reservoir of the spray bottle. The removable scrubber is positioned in the base of the spray bottle. The roller uses a washable absorbent pad to clean surfaces with cleaning solution deposited by the spray bottle. The spray mechanism is held in two grips, a spray grip and a reverse grip in order to make use of the spray mechanism and the roller, respectively.

Abstract: A fence pulling assembly that includes a mount plate, a support frame, a spindle, a brace post, a press bar, and an actuator. The support frame extends from the mount plate and is connected to the spindle and the brace post. The spindle receives a roll of fencing. The brace post supports the press bar. The press bar is pivotable between a first position and a second position, wherein the distance between the press bar and the spindle is greater in the first position than in the second position. The actuator is configured to move the press bar between the first position and the second position.

Abstract: A transportable spool carrier includes a spool hub configured to receive a welding wire spool thereon. A handle is disposed a distance above the spool hub greater than the radial size of the spool hub such that the welding wire spool is transportable via the transportable spool carrier. The handle is vertically aligned with the longitudinal center portion of the spool hub axis to align the handle with a center of gravity of the welding wire spool when the welding wire spool is coupled to the transportable spool carrier. The transportable spool carrier may include two spaced feet configured to support the welding wire spool on a surface when the transportable spool carrier is decoupled from the frame. The spool hub may include an expandable cylinder that, when radially expanded the welding wire spool is locked to the spool hub.

Abstract: A baler includes a body, and a wrap system that is attached to the body. The wrap system is operable to support a roll of wrap material in an installed position. A cover is attached to the body, and is moveable between an open position and a closed position. When in open position, the cover provides access to the wrap system from an exterior location. When in the closed position, the cover encloses the wrap system from the exterior location. The baler includes a lift system attached to one of the body and the cover. The lift system is concealed between the body and the cover when the cover is disposed in the closed position. The lift system is positioned below the cover when the cover is disposed in the open position. The lift system raises the roll of wrap material into the installed position.

Abstract: A method of dispensing a user-determined length of sheet product from a roll of sheet product via a sheet product dispenser is provided. The method includes the steps of providing the roll of sheet product rotatably supported by the sheet product dispenser for dispensing sheet product therefrom, wherein the roll of sheet product rotates in response to a pull force applied to a tail portion of the roll of sheet product; and providing, via the sheet product dispenser, a pull force resistance opposing the rotation of the roll of sheet product, wherein the pull force resistance is between 36 grams-force and 96 grams-force throughout a majority of a life of the roll of sheet product.

Abstract: A method of packaging a series of differently shaped objects. The method includes receiving a first object to be packaged and identifying a first length of a stock packaging material suitable for enclosing the first object. The method continues by creating, with a bag making machine, a first bag from the stock packaging material having approximately the first length, which leads to substantially enclosing the first object in the first bag. Then the method continues by receiving a second object to be packaged, the second object having a shape or size different from the first object. A second length of the stock packaging material suitable for enclosing the second object is identified. The method continues by creating, with the bag making machine, a second bag from the stock packaging material having approximately the second length, followed by substantially enclosing the second object in the second bag.

The rolled product dispenser includes a roll engagement member for supporting the roll and allowing the roll to rotate around an axis of rotation, and a roll braking assembly operatively connected to the frame for reducing over-rotation of the roll around the axis of rotation. The roll braking assembly includes at least one roll abutment member configured to abut against an outward-facing surface of the roll and create friction therewith, and a biasing member biasing the at least one roll abutment member towards the outward-facing surface of the roll. The roll braking assembly is configured such that friction between the roll abutment member and the outward-facing surface of the roll reduces as the rolled product is depleted from the roll. In an embodiment, the rolled product dispenser is a paper towel dispenser.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a portable and detachable dispenser. The dispenser of the present invention comprise a base portion which is lodged in the inner circumference part of the roll and provides an anchoring support to the dispenser, and a top portion that essentially lies over and above the outer circumference of the roll to allow the free end of the reeled product to pass through it and rest on a raised area which comprises of a cutting means. Further, the dispenser of the present invention, in its construction and placement on the roll, provides a unique locking mechanism that keeps it securely placed even with a diminishing diameter of the roll. Lastly, the dispenser of the present invention is easier to lodge and dislodge from the roll and is much lighter and convenient to use.

Abstract: A core pin bag dispenser includes a planar base sized and shaped to fit beneath a roll of film bags. First and second upwardly extending rods are mounted to the base. A retaining pin is sized and shaped to fit slidably within a hollow core of the bag roll. The pin has first and second orthogonal apertures located adjacent the first and second ends that are spaced apart by at least a width of the roll of film bags and are sized and shaped to fit slidably over the first and second upwardly extending rods. An upward pointing snagging hook is mounted adjacent a front edge of the base and is sized and shaped to engage either a chisel cut or a perforation in the bags. Two of the dispensers are mounted to an adapter designed to fit into the side channels of a bin mounted to a vertical surface.

This invention solves the problem Contamination or waste of the paper roll is avoided by providing a self adjusting vertical clamp bar to restrain the roll of paper in order to remove a towel segment from the roll.

The load inducement portion includes a guide member, and a load member slidably engaged with the guide member and operative to contact and apply a load to an outer surface of the roll of sheet product.

Abstract: An apparatus for covering a rolled paper product, such as toilet paper or paper towels, to reduce the visibility of the paper roll. The apparatus comprises a base member that attaches to a surface, a guide post slidably engaged with the base member to move up and down relative thereto, a top member attached to or integral with the guide post and extending over the paper roll, a roller holder attached to or integral with the top member or guide post and a roller rotatably supported by the roller holder in rotatable engagement with the paper roll to rotate therewith. As paper is removed from the roll, the roller rotates and moves the guide post down to maintain the desired spacing between the top member and the paper roll. Preferably, fragrance material in the roller dispenses fragrance when the roller rotates in response to rotation of the paper roll.

Abstract: A damping unit for a film packing device a first roller, a damping roller and a second roller connected to the base of the film packing device respectively. The first roller includes a frame connected to the base and a first tube and a second tube are connected to the frame. The damping roller is located between the first and second rollers and has a spring biased on a top thereof so as to control its speed of rotation. The film goes partially around the first tube, the second tube, at least half of an outer periphery of the damping roller and then partially around the second roller before being wrapped around the object.

Abstract: A device to restrain the unwinding of a roll of paper for use in combination with a paper dispenser is disclosed. The paper dispenser includes a back plate mountable upon a wall, a pair of opposed side plates extending from the back plate for rotatably supporting a roll of paper having a depending lead sheet. The restraining device comprises a base portion mountable to the wall and a support arm extending laterally from the base portion over the roll of paper. The support arm includes a collar located at its free end, the collar including a central opening. The roll braking arm is oriented substantially vertically and extends through the central opening of the support arm. The roll braking arm contacts and applies its weight as a braking force against the roll of paper to restrain the roll of paper from unwinding unnecessarily.

Abstract: A torn paper web capture system that is a mechanism for securing a band, tape or strap, preferably composed of paper, across a paper roll as the roll is rotating. A sensor means detects the torn paper web and initiates both the shut down of rotation of the paper roll and the release of the band. The band resides within a guide track, the track being generally C-shaped in cross-section Upon contact with spool journal or similar rotating member the end of the band adheres and is wrapped around the rotating member. This wrapping action takes up the slack in the band and pulls it from the guide track and against the paper web, thereby securing the loose end of the paper web. The contact between the band and the rotating member may be initiated in multiple ways, such as with a nip roller, an actuating shoe member, or the like.

Abstract: A sod-laying machine having a low center of gravity and a seated operator position adjacent the roll of sod being placed. The superior visibility available to the operator makes it possible to place the sod more accurately and with less need for subsequent adjustment than has been possible previously. The machine has sod roll lifting arms that can be spaced apart to lift and place rolls having any of the common large sod roll widths. The machine can be configured to lay sod that is rolled with either the grass side or the dirt side outermost. Propulsion, roll lifting and roll width adjustment is hydraulic with continuously variable speed drive. Turf scuffing is minimized by trailing caster wheels and independently controllable drive wheels mounted close to the location of the sod roll.

Abstract: An anti-backlash device for a fishing rod includes a retaining member mounted on the fishing rod. The retaining member has a slot for receiving a pointed tip portion of the anti-backlash device, to secure the anti-backlash device to the fishing rod. The slot in the retaining member receives the pointed tip portion of the anti-backlash device, so that the tip portion can be retained in the slot. In use, the anti-backlash device applies a retarding effect on a spool of a reel mounted on a fishing rod by application of pressure, preventing backlash and preventing knots and tangles of a fishing line. The anti-backlash device is sufficiently resilient and flexible so that it is disposed in tension against the reel sufficiently strongly to prevent knots and tangles but not so strongly as to prevent rotation of the reel during use thereof.

Abstract: A retaining device positioned against the free end of anything dispensed from a roll to secure it and thereby prevent unattended or surplus dispensing. The device prevents excessive unwinding of paper towels in a motor home or travel trailer due to travel vibration, as a result of wind and other air movement, and where assistance with efficient repeat one-handed separation of a single towel or sheet from a roll is needed. One end of the device mounts to the support surface behind the roll, without any attachment to the holder supporting the roll, wherein a primary contact area adjacent to the device's opposed end becomes biased against the free end to prevent excess dispensing until the roll is completely spent. Dispensing applications include, but are not limited to, commercial and non-commercial use of paper towels on a roll, and retail outlet use of other commercial paper on a roll.

Abstract: A system and method for dispensing roll material is described that substantially prevents toilet paper runaway and is useful in reducing irritation caused by using dry toilet paper. In one embodiment, the dispenser has a structure that has a thin, but strong curved, rigid arm with a tooth that is biased to engage the toilet paper roll in such a manner that it will only permit the roll to turn only in one direction. If the roll is attempted to be turned in the opposite direction, the tooth, which is disposed toward the roll, will engage the roll and prevent rotation in the second direction without substantially damaging the toilet paper on the roll. In a second embodiment, the toilet paper dispenser will dispense a predetermined amount of toilet paper into a receiver that has a sufficient size that it will fold over onto itself a predetermined number of times.

Abstract: A sod unrolling machine including a frame which is adapted to be secured to the rear end of a vehicle having a vertically movable hitch. The frame includes first and second horizontally spaced-apart and rearwardly extending frame members with each of the first and second frame members having a rearward end. A sod roll support is rotatably secured to the rearward ends of the first and second frame members and extends therebetween for supporting a sod roll thereon. A sod roll brake is hydraulically movably secured to the frame and is movable between first and second positions. When the sod brake is in its first position, the brake is not in engagement with the sod roll. When the sod roll brake is in its second position, the sod roll brake engages the sod roll, to prevent the sod from unrolling from the sod roll.

Abstract: The present invention generally includes a coil reel hold-down device having a base plate operatively arranged to be secured to a floor and a snubber arm pivotably mounted to the base plate, the snubber arm having a first section and a second section disposed at an obtuse angle with respect to one another, and a means for effecting a pivoting movement of the snubber arm relative to the base plate.

As the remaining amount of the roll paper 21 decreases, the decurl roller 22 linearly moves along guide rails 23c, which are formed in support members 23a, toward an eccentric position from the roll paper shaft 21a to increase a contact area and a contact angle ?PQR of the decurl roller 22 with the printing paper 24.

Abstract: A paper back tape dispenser that includes a cylindrical outer shell with a center cavity designed to receive a standard roll of paper back tape. The outer shell includes a side opening with a forward extending lip. Formed on the distal edge of the lip is a serrated cutting edge. Aligned and attached to the rear surface of the outer shell is a hollow pipe Formed on the inside and outside surfaces of the short pipe are two longitudinally aligned slots. Located inside the short pipe is a sliding piston. Extending through the piston and the pipe is an axle that partially extends into the cavity to hold a spool that fits inside a roll of tape. A spring is disposed inside the pipe that automatically holds the axle in an upward position on the pipe. During use, the portion of the axle that extends outward acts as a finger bar that is used to lift the axle upward so that new, large roll of tape may be placed over the axle and into the cylindrical cavity.

The strapping head includes a feed element for conveying the strap material during the feed mode in a first direction around the load and for conveying the strap material in a second, opposite direction to tension the strap material around the load. The strapping head includes a rotating winder for tensioning the material around the load. The winder has a peripheral strap path and a central strap path.

The apparatus include; structure for slowing down the logs (3) rolling along a log discharge or output plane (5). The same roller is driven into rotation about its axis with a preset angular speed so as to intercept each of the logs (3) and slow down the motion thereof along the plane (5). The surface of the roller (6) is pliable and elastic.

Abstract: Seam tape applicator includes a frame which holds a roll of seam tape and is supported by two pressure rollers from the front and rear of the frame. A tensioning plate applies pressure against the roll of seam tape to maintain proper tension on the seam tape as it is applied. A guide bar extends forwardly from the front of the seam tape applicator to indicate the location of the seam tape as it is being applied.

The roll holder with adjustable pressure member includes a base, an upright member connectable to the base and orthogonal thereto, and a pressure member wherein the pressure member is bent in an L-shape to be parallel to the base in one portion, and be parallel to the upright member in the other portion. Optionally, a slide plate can be provided as well as a guide pin and nut.

Abstract: An apparatus for wrapping hair strands with string or artificial hair is disclosed. The apparatus has a shell that defines an axle having an opening. The axle rotatably supports a drive wheel, a spool of string and a guide wheel. The drive wheel engages the guide wheel. The string passes from the spool past the guide wheel, which has circumferential notches to engage and play out the string. In practice, the user passes a hair strand through the opening in the axle, fastens the string to a hair strand, energizes the apparatus, and moves it along the length of the hair strand as the string is wrapped about the strand. The apparatus is preferably powered by a small DC motor.

A spool for receiving cord is mounted for rotational movement with the cover. The cord is held for rotation with the cover. The cover has an aperture to thread a lock of hair and the cord therethrough. Rotation of the cover by the motor causes rotation of the cord around the lock of hair, thereby wrapping the hair with the cord.

Abstract: A line dispenser for a retractable fence which includes a housing for holding a spool of line, the housing having a hole for communicating the line outside the housing; a crank for rotating the spool to bring the line into the housing through the hole; and a tube located within the hole. The line extends through the tube so that the tube applies a tension on the line as the line is reeled in and pulled out of the housing. This device provides a fence which is substantially tangle-free as the line is reeled into and pulled out of the housing.

The dispenser includes a second tensioning member attached to a support member and disposed at an angle thereto to provide tension to the edges of the roll of bags as the core passes through the channel passageway as bags are removed from the roll. Spaced apart from the support is a symmetric separating tongue. The tongue will engage the slot regardless of whether the bags are drawn over or under the tongue. As the user pulls on the bags, a tension is created by the brake and the user to deflect the tongue which remains deflected until the tongue engages the slot.

The roll of material is positioned in the roll tensioner such that it can be rotated about a longitudinal axis of the roll by pulling the material from the roll to unwind material from the roll. A mechanism actuated by the weight of the roll of material applies frictional resistance to the rotation of the roll at a plurality of circumferentially spaced locations on the periphery of the roll. An apparatus for converting sheets of paper into cushioning dunnage advantageously employs the automatic roll tensioner.

Abstract: A paper roll dispensing apparatus in accordance with the invention comprises outer winding separation and inner winding restraint means for restraining inner windings of the paper roll from unrolling while simultaneously separating an outer winding of said paper roll from its inwardly-adjacent winding, and tension-supplying means for pressing a restraining edge of the outer winding separation and inner winding restraint means against an outside layer of the paper roll, both when the paper roll is substantially full and as the paper roll becomes depleted. Preferably, the paper roll also comprises tack adhesive means for adhering successive windings of the paper roll to one another when the outer winding is not pulled away from its inwardly-adjacent winding and simultaneously enabling the adhesion to be broken without substantial tearing of the paper when the outer winding is pulled away from its inwardly-adjacent winding.
