Abstract: A point of sale printer is provided with a large paper supply roll mounted externally from the printer. The printer includes a paper drive which rapidly accelerates and decelerates a paper web extending from the paper supply roll. A tensioning roll is moved in one direction to feed the web into the printer during the relatively slow acceleration of the paper supply roll and in an opposite direction to prevent a tangle of paper as the paper supply roll is decelerated after the printer stops moving the paper web. A cable assembly is provided to facilitate loading the large paper supply roll. A braking spring helps to decelerate the paper supply roll and further engages a flap formed in an outer end of the paper web to thread this end of the web into the printer.

Abstract: A toilet tissue anti-roll device is disclosed. The device is to be inserted behind a tissue roll in the space between the tissue and the wall. The device has a main body. The main body extends upward to form a top anchor, and extends downward to form a bottom anchor. There are left and right hooks attached to the main body. The left and right hooks hang the device onto the tissue roll and impart friction on it to prevent it from rolling out of control. The top and bottom anchors prevent the device from rolling with the tissue roll.
Abstract: Apparatus for dispensing a rolled fabric across the width of at least two longitudinal structural supports. In some embodiments, apparatus which is capable of forming a fall protection system which conforms to OSHA standards when constructing metal insulated roof systems.
Abstract: A tape dispenser comprising a hub unit and a housing that can be removed from the hub unit to dispense tape. The hub unit comprises a hub for holding a roll of tape, and two flanges, one on each of the opposite ends of the hub. One of the flanges optionally has a cutting edge along a portion of its outer periphery for severing tape pulled over the cutting edge. A plurality of tabs are provided generally adjacent the periphery of at least one of the flanges. The tabs tend to prevent accidental unwinding of tape from the tape dispenser unit. The housing covers the periphery of the flanges (including the cutting edge if provided).
Abstract: A supply magazine contains a recording paper roll constituted by continuous thermosensitive recording paper wound in a roll form. The recording paper is fed by a supply roller. In the supply magazine, a magazine body receives the recording paper roll. A magazine lid closes the magazine body openably. Two retention levers are shiftable between retaining and releasing positions, press an outermost turn of the recording paper roll to the supply roller when in the retaining position, and release the recording paper roll from the supply roller when in the releasing position. A combination of two linking plates has first and second ends. The first end is connected with the magazine lid. The second end is connected with each of the retention levers. The linking plates shift each retention lever from the releasing position to the retaining position in response to closing of the magazine lid.
Abstract: Holder for rolls of web-shaped materials, for example paper, nonwoven or foil, the holder including a shaft (7) intended to be inserted into the centre hole (5) of the roll (2), so that the roll can rotate around the shaft for unrolling the web-shaped material. In order to provide a braking of the rotation of the roll the shaft (7) is provided with at least one resilient member in the form of a leaf spring (10) having one end attached to the shaft and having a free portion (12) which in unloaded position projects radially from the shaft for increasing the radial dimension thereof, the resilient member can be brought to spring towards the spindle.
Abstract: A counter-top paper towel holder having a base, a mounting rod extending upward from the base, and a stabilizing extension extending upward from the base at a position radially spaced from the mounting rod. The stabilizing extension includes a handle portion and a presser arm spaced radially outward from the handle potion. The presser arm is resilient, and includes a free end for abutting the roll of paper towels mounted on the mounting rod. Grasping the handle with one hand provides support for the paper towel holder against gross movement as the free towels are pulled from the roll using the other hand. The thumb of the grasping hand may press against the presser arm to force the free end against the roll. The free end thus prevent further rotation of the roll, and assists in breaking the lines of perforation to dispense the towels.
Abstract: A portable dispenser of paper towels or other paper roll products. This device effectively dispenses paper towels in the work area at any place the user wishes to place the device. The device is made of PVC or similar tubing and suction cups to enable the base of the holder to be secured on any work surface. The paper towel roll is inserted and used as needed.
Abstract: A combination spray bottle and paper towel holder configured and arranged to prevent an edge of a roll of paper towels from being damaged by condensate and/or fraying, comprising a body having a shaft, a base, a hand grip, a flange, a threaded screw-top; a tensioner; and a spray assembly. The body serves as a reservoir for liquids. The roll of paper towels is inserted over the shaft, rests on the flange and does not contact the base. The tensioner maintains pressure on the roll of paper towels, preventing the uncontrolled unrolling thereof. The tensioner is attached to the spray bottle at two attachment locations, located on the body at locations beyond either edge of the roll of paper towels when the roll is inserted over the shaft. At least one of the attachment locations is such that the tensioner is releasably attached thereto.
Abstract: A dispenser is disclosed for dispensing and separating plastic bags from a roll of bags rolled on an axle which projects beyond the ends of the roll. The dispenser comprises a container which includes a surface which frictionally engages the roll to apply a braking force thereto. The braking surface includes an upper section and a lower sloped section which engages the roll when its diameter has decreased to a value which is such that the roll does not engage the upper section. The container includes opposing tracks extending from the upper portion of the container to a lower portion for supporting the projecting ends of the axle so that the roll will fall gradually in the tracks to the lower portion of the container as the articles are dispensed. The container also includes spring biased surfaces for applying an additional braking force to the ends of said roll.
Abstract: A dispensing apparatus including an adjusting device which ensures constant pressure of a reel supported on a spindle. The device is associated with reel-holder arms having resilient flexibility, rails forming a slide being arranged between side wings of a housing and the reel-holder arms to allow limited sliding movement of sliders floating on the rails with elastic capacity for controlled and adapted movement to enable paper material of the reel to be maintained constantly stretched on the spindle as material is depleted from the reel.
