  • Patent number: 5044587
Abstract: The foot bearing the seat surface of a seat is divided at a distance of 20-30 cm from the seat surface. Between the mutually facing end faces of the two foot parts (5a,5b) a rubber cushion (9) is arranged, the circumferential area of which is widened to form a brake ring (11). The elastic restoring force, working counter to the inclination of the seat, of this cushion is reinforced by two further cushions (16,17) arranged within the foot parts (5a,5b). By means of the suitable arrangement of sliding elements with low friction (T1-T3), the mutual rotation between the two foot parts (5a,5b) is ensured. Thanks to this construction, the seat surface can be swiveled in a tumbling manner in such a way that every point of said seat surface moves on an imaginary spherical surface and thanks to the mentioned elastic restoring force, the seat part always returns automatically to its initial position.

The seat pedestal mount includes a base plate for mounting in the deck of a boat, the base plate having a plate flange for securing the base plate to the boat deck and a downwardly-extending, tapered bushing seat for recessed mounting in the boat deck. A tapered, slotted bushing is removably seated in the bushing seat and receives a seat pedestal extension or a seat pedestal, such that the seat pedestal extension or seat pedestal is rigidly, yet removably, stabilized in the bushing seat of the base plate. When a pedestal extension is used, the seat pedestal element of a seat frame fits into the top end of the pedestal extension and the bottom end of the pedestal extension is seated in the slotted bushing, to mount the seat in rigid relationship on the deck of the boat.

  • Patent number: 4010914
Abstract: Detonating primer cords for explosives are usually stored and dispensed from a reel sometimes contained in a cardboard box or the like. The present dispenser or container receives the reel upon a spindle and is mounted for free rotation upon a base support. The cord feeds through an aperture in the front wall of the container so that when the cord is pulled to dispense same, the container pivots upon the base so that the cord can be pulled out readily and easily. The dispenser is made of non-ferrous material to prevent electrical sparking from occuring thus adding to the safety of the dispenser.
