    Abstract: A system and method is provided for securing a spring body against a socket body, thereby reducing movement of the spring body during periods of vibration. Preferred embodiments of the present invention operate in accordance with a socket body that includes at least a proximal end, a spring body that includes at least a distal end, and a sleeve. In one embodiment of the present invention, the distal end of the spring body is configured to be placed over the proximal end of the socket body, and the sleeve is configured to be placed over the distal end of the spring body. The sleeve preferably includes an inner circumference that is sized to creating a frictional engagement between an inner surface of the sleeve and an outer surface of the spring body, and between an inner surface of the spring body and an outer surface of the socket body.

    Abstract: A method of repairing a used electrode device is disclosed wherein a used electrode assembly has an inner conductor with an integral electrode tip; the inner conductor is encapsulated in an insulator body having an outer conductor and an outer electrode tip; and an outer sleeve is attached to the insulator body, the sleeve being filled with a particle suspended fluid and the sleeve being retained by a metal ring at the location of attachment to the insulator body prior to removing the inner conductor from the insulator body; the electrode assembly is placed in a fixture with a collet holding the metal ring in place; the sleeve is pushed upon to release the ring; and the inner conductor is pressed with the integral electrode tip while holding or restraining the insulator body to apply a force sufficient to disengage the inner conductor from the insulator body.

    Abstract: A retention latch mechanism having corresponding retention features and stress reducing members is provided herein. In an exemplary embodiment, the retention latch mechanism comprises a pair of spring arm retention features of a receptacle engageable with a corresponding pair of recessed retention features of an insertable tab and one or more backup spring members for reducing stress within the spring arms during insertion of the tab into the receptacle. The backup spring may be positioned adjacent an outward facing surface such that outward lateral deflection of the spring arms deflects the backup spring thereby reducing force within the spring arm. The backup spring may include any or all of a bent portion of an associated bracket or arm member, a wire, a loop, a complementary spring arm, dual backup springs, elastomeric members and self-lubricating members. Methods of providing retention of a tab within a receptacle are also provided herein.

    Abstract: A manufacturing method of common mode filters and a structure of the same are revealed. A common mode choke layer is disposed over a composite substrate and a second magnetic material layer is coated on an upper surface of the common mode choke layer. The common mode choke layer is produced by a wafer-level electrode leading out method and having leading-out terminals on sides thereof. External electrodes are formed on sides of the common mode choke layer by partial cutting, sputtering, lithography and electroplating at wafer level and corresponding to the leading-out terminals. Thereby common mode filters produced are supported more stably. Moreover, the volume is minimized due to inductive coils and external electrodes connected by wafer level packaging. Thus the common mode filters are mass-produced, the cost is down and the defect rate is reduced.
