  • Patent number: 11328528
Abstract: A smart card with a fingerprint sensing system, includes a controller and a fingerprint sensing device. When the fingerprint sensing device senses a fingerprint to generate a fingerprint frame data, the controller enters a sleep mode, and when the controller reads the fingerprint frame data, the fingerprint sensing device stops sensing the fingerprint. Since operations of sensing the fingerprint and reading the fingerprint frame data do not occur at the same time, the high current condition can be avoided so as to decrease power consumption.

Abstract: Improved systems and techniques are disclosed for controlling the security states of anti-theft security systems such as product display assemblies using security fobs. The tasks relating to fob authentication are offloaded to a computer system, and these authentications can be based on identifiers for the different security fobs. The interactions between security fobs and product display assemblies can be consistent regardless of the population of authorized security fobs by using a security code that is shared by the security fobs. When attempting to use a security fob to change a security status for a product display assembly, the provision of the code to the subject product display assembly can be predicated on authorization of the subject security fob by the computer system. The computer system can maintain a list of identifiers for authorized security fobs that is easily updated when new security fobs are added to or existing security fobs are de-authorized from the system.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to energy-efficient hibernation in indoor wireless localization systems. A tag passively associates with a detection point (DP) and establishes a reveille time. The tag will awaken at the reveille time and send or receive a beacon to or from its associated DP. If the tag is receiving a beacon, it will awaken, receive, phase-lock its clock based on when the beacon was expected and when it was actually received, and return to hibernation. The DP transmits a scattershot of beacons, one for every tag in the system. If the tag is sending a beacon, it will awaken, send its beacon, and return to hibernation. The DP will receive the beacon and adjust its own clock based on the delay between when the beacon was expected and when it was actually received. The tag will broadcast its location to the DP on a set interval.

  • Patent number: 11212650
Abstract: Device-free localization for smart indoor environments within an indoor area covered by wireless networks is detected using active off-the-shelf-devices would be beneficial in a wide range of applications. By exploiting existing wireless communication signals and machine learning techniques in order to automatically detect entrance into the area, and track the location of a moving subject within the sensing area a low cost robust long-term tracking system can be established. A machine learning component is established to minimize the need for user annotation and overcome temporal instabilities via a semi-supervised framework. After establishing a robust base learner mapping wireless signals to different physical locations from a small amount of labeled data; during its lifetime, the learner automatically re-trains when the uncertainty level rises significantly. Additionally, an automatic change-point detection process is employed setting a query for updating the outdated model and the decision boundaries.

  • Patent number: 11209889
Abstract: Status information including remaining battery power is collected from a management target device. Subsequent operations of the device are identified from an operation schedule management collection. Battery consumptions corresponding to subsequent operations of the device are estimated from KPI management collection that includes information representing relationships between battery consumptions and operations with respect to each of a plurality of devices. The battery life of the device is predicted based on the estimated battery consumptions and the remaining battery power represented by the collected status information. A circuit schedule of a maintenance engineer is determined based on the predicted battery life, the schedule including necessity of dispatch of the maintenance engineer to the device.
