Abstract: A novel digital photo frame is configured to display user-loaded photographs, moving pictures, and other personal data and corporate-paid advertisements which are dynamically updatable by an advertising data distribution center or another communications service provider, such as a cellular service provider. The invention also discloses a related, novel method of advertising in a digital photo frame with dynamically-updatable-ads, in which initial advertising fees for one or more dynamically-updateable ads at least partially pay for manufacturing costs of the digital photo frame for inexpensive distribution of the digital photo frame to a targeted consumer.

  • Patent number: 8810506
Abstract: A touch panel includes multiple sensing units and each thereof includes a first transistor, a reference capacitor, a liquid crystal capacitor and a second transistor. ON/OFF states of the first transistor are determined by a potential provided by a corresponding scan line. The reference capacitor and the liquid crystal capacitor are coupled in series between another scan line adjacent to the corresponding scan line and a common potential. A capacitance value of the liquid crystal capacitor changes with a pressed degree of the sensing unit. ON/OFF states the second transistor are determined by a potential at a connection node between the reference capacitor and the liquid crystal capacitor. The first transistor transmits a first potential to the connection node when the first transistor is turned on, and the second transistor transmits a second potential different from the first potential to a readout line when the second transistor is turned on.

  • Patent number: 8638462
Abstract: In an image display apparatus, when image data is transferred from an LCD controller to an LCD through a transmission cable having a plurality of signal lines and is displayed on a screen, the image data is divided sequentially by a plurality of lines from a front line so as to correspond to the number of signal lines and allocates the divided image data to the signal lines such that image data of which signal change is larger is allocated to a signal line which is closer to the ground line to transfer the image data. Therefore, the entire radiation noise which is generated can be reduced while maintaining quality of signals.
