    Abstract: According to an embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes a plurality of pixels and a control circuit, each of the pixels includes a first switch, a second switch, a first storage unit, a second storage unit, a liquid crystal display element, and a control circuit, and the control circuit is configured to simultaneously overwrite the subframe data held in the first storage unit provided in each of the plurality of pixels with fixed data, and to simultaneously transfer the fixed data held in the first storage unit to the second storage unit by turning on the second switch provided in each of the plurality of pixels.
