  • Patent number: 10896483
Abstract: Dynamic image content is generated based on various combinations of image elements associated with an input image unit. In this regard, an input image unit is selected and input into a dynamic content generation engine. The input image unit includes a number of image elements. Different combinations of image elements in the input image are added and/or removed to generate candidate image units. Different colors may be also be assigned to image elements based on a color palette. In this way, permutatively different candidate image units are automatically generated with different combination of elements from the input image unit and possibly different colors. Generation of candidate image units can be based on the application of a combination formula onto the image elements associated with the input image unit. The candidate image units are then displayed for selection and further modification.

Abstract: Optimizations are provided for generating a list of search results. At a user interface, a query is received from a user who is using the user interface. This query includes a request to access digital content. In response to the request, a set of query results is obtained. This set of query results includes a first list of selectable links. Each of these links is associated with the digital content requested by the query and is prioritized according to a particular order. Then, an access performance rate is determined for at least some of the links included within the first list. A second list of links is then generated by evaluating the links of the first list against a set of rules. This set of rules prioritizes the links based at least partially on the determined access performance rates. Subsequently, the user interface is updated to reflect the second list.

  • Patent number: 10782847
Abstract: The technology disclosed relates to distinguishing meaningful gestures from proximate non-meaningful gestures in a three-dimensional (3D) sensory space. In particular, it relates to calculating spatial trajectories of different gestures and determining a dominant gesture based on magnitudes of the spatial trajectories. The technology disclosed also relates to uniformly responding to gestural inputs from a user irrespective of a position of the user. In particular, it relates to automatically adapting a responsiveness scale between gestures in a physical space and resulting responses in a gestural interface by automatically proportioning on-screen responsiveness to scaled movement distances of gestures in the physical space, user spacing with the 3D sensory space, or virtual object density in the gestural interface.

  • Patent number: 10776971
Abstract: A spatial relationship is determined between a first image of a first region of a physical space, and a second image of a second region of that space; and the first and second images are thereby stitched together into a composite image comprising first and second areas derived from the first and second images respectively. Further, there is detected an embedded signal having been embedded in light illuminating at least part of the first region of the physical space upon capture of the first image, the embedded signal conveying metadata relating to at least part of the physical space. An effect applied to at least part of the first area of the composite image based on the detected metadata; and also, based on the detected metadata and on the determined spatial relationship between the first and second images, the effect is applied to at least part of the second area of the composite image that extends beyond the first area.

  • Patent number: 10769838
Abstract: A graphics processing system can divide a render output into plural larger patches, with each larger patch encompassing plural smaller patches. A rasteriser of the system tests a larger patch against a primitive to be processed to determine if the primitive covers the larger patch. When it is determined that the primitive only partially covers the larger patch, the larger patch is sub-divided into plural smaller patches and at least one of the smaller patches is re-tested against the primitive. Conversely, when it is determined that the primitive completely covers the larger patch, the larger patch is output from the rasteriser in respect of the primitive for processing by a subsequent stage, of the graphics processing system. The system can provide efficient, hierarchal, processing of primitives, whilst helping to prevent the output of the rasteriser from becoming blocked.

  • Patent number: 10755142
Abstract: The technology disclosed uses a combination of an object detector and an object tracker to process video sequences and produce tracks of real-world images categorized by objects detected in the video sequences. The tracks of real-world images are used to iteratively train and re-train the object detector and improve its detection rate during a so-called “training cycle”. Each training cycle of improving the object detector is followed by a so-called “training data generation cycle” that involves collaboration between the improved object detector and the object tracker. Improved detection by the object detector causes the object tracker to produce longer and smoother tracks tagged with bounding boxes around the target object. Longer and smoother tracks and corresponding bounding boxes from the last training data generation cycle are used as ground truth in the current training cycle until the object detector's performance reaches a convergence point.

Abstract: The described technology is directed towards normalizing input received from various types of device types for providing the input to user interface (UI) elements in a unified way that reflects the invoke intent of the user. Input from different device types is classified as button input, pointer input or command input, and routed to a corresponding button provider, pointer provider or command provider. Each provider includes logic for communicating input data (e.g., events) to a UI element or elements. Based upon the input events, a UI element can execute a corresponding invoke handler to take an invoke action for that particular event.
