  • Patent number: 7724539
Abstract: According to the present invention, there is provided a holder having a pressure flange not to be easily disengaged from a small-sized electronic part in pressing and accommodating the holder having the small-sized electronic part in a mounting recess. A holder includes a projecting portion protruding from a pressing flange toward a cylinder axis of a holding portion, formed in a portion having a predetermined length of an inner edge of the pressing flange. With this construction, when the holder accommodating a small-sized electronic part is mounted to a casing of an apparatus, even if the pressing flange is rolled up and about to be disengaged from the small-sized electronic part, the projecting portion engages with the small-sized electronic part, thereby preventing the pressing flange from being rolled up.

The power source includes an energy storage member for storing energy collected from a solar panel, and is operative for supplying power generated from solar energy to the heating module. The controller is operative for causing the power source to supply power to the heating module at least in part based on first information derived from a temperature of the water within the water receptacle and second information derived from a condition associated with the power source. The controller is further operative for selecting between a first power source and a second power source for supplying power to the heating module.

Abstract: An improved overmolded electronic assembly includes a backplate provided with a recessed edge, a circuit substrate on the backplate, at least one electronic component mounted on the circuit substrate, conductive traces on the circuit substrate which together with the electronic component(s) defines a circuit device, an electrical connector, and an overmold body that has peripheral edges that wrap around sides of the backplate and onto the edge recesses. The resulting over wrap feature eliminates delamination problems that would otherwise occur during thermal cycling of the electronic assembly, improves corrosion resistance at connector-to-backplate interfaces, and enhances securement of the printed circuit board assembly and electrical connector to the assembly.

Abstract: An electronic device installation structure for housing an electronic device which is coupled with a signal transmission dock includes a chassis which has a housing trough to hold the electronic device. The housing trough and the electronic device have respectively a guiding track and a boss that correspond to each other. The guiding track has an inlet and a distal end that jointly define a moving displacement of the boss. The boss can be moved along the guiding track to allow the electronic device to be steadily and fully loaded into the housing trough. The electronic device and the housing trough form an interval between them in the fully loaded condition that is proximate to the thickness of the signal transmission dock so that a secure electric connection is established between the signal transmission dock and the electronic device.

Abstract: A flexible circuit is populated on one or both sides and disposed about a substrate to create a circuit module. Along one of its edges, the flex circuit is connected to a connective facility such as a multiple pin connector while the flex circuit is disposed about a thermally-conductive form that provides structure to create a module with plural layers of circuitry in a single module. In preferred embodiments, the form is metallic and, in alternative preferred embodiments, the module circuitry is disposed within a housing. Preferred embodiments may be devised that present a compact flash module within a housing that may be connected to or into a system or product through a connective facility that is preferably a male or female socket connector while the housing is configured to mechanically adapt to an application environment.

Abstract: An electronic apparatus is mountable in either of a standard mount state in a rack, or an offset mount state which offsets forward from the standard mount state in a depth direction of the rack. A pair of side boards extend rearward from a front panel in the depth direction, and are spaced apart from each other at left and right sides in a width direction perpendicular to the depth direction. A pair of rack angles are attached to the pair of the side boards, respectively. The rack angle is composed of a first mounting plate and a second mounting plate intersecting perpendicularly to the first mounting plate. One of through-holes formed in the first mounting plate of the rack angle and screw holes formed in the side board is positioned in correspondence to both of the standard mount state and the offset mount state, so that the rack angle is selectively attached to the side board in either of the standard mount state and the offset mount state.

Abstract: Embodiments of tubular telecommunications cabinets are presented herein. Specifically, Telecommunications equipment cabinets are described which are configured to protect a plurality of components from environmental influences and provide a high degree of access to the interior of the cabinet. In an implementation a cabinet is configured with a plurality of mountings to mount a plurality of telecommunications equipment within a tubular enclosure. A plurality of partially-tubular sides may be joined to form the tubular enclosure around the mountings. Thus, equipment may be mounted within the cabinet to protect the equipment, for instance, at an outside location. The sides further are operable to permit access to the interior and corresponding equipment around substantially the entire perimeter of the cabinet.
