Abstract: The embodiments described herein relate to anodic films and methods for forming anodic films. The methods described can be used to form anodic films that have a white appearance. Methods involve positioning reflective particles on or within a substrate prior to or during an anodizing process. The reflective particles are positioned within the metal oxide of the resultant anodic film but substantially outside the pores of the anodic film. The reflective particles scatter incident light giving the resultant anodic film a white appearance.

Abstract: An appliqué of the invention comprises a disposable carrier film onto which a release layer and PU inks are printed using layering techniques. The ink layers can be multicolored and each color is applied sequentially using a conventional screen-printing method. A back-up, a lacquer layer, and an adhesive layer are printed in sequence over the ink layers. The ink includes reflective particles providing the optical effect of a 3-dimensional appliqué. The artwork is created by overlapping design layers to controlled specification sequences. The ink, because of the additives, creates a desired color tone, and this may be enhanced by layering of the ink in an overlapping region. Thus, there are three main regions, namely a central region with reflective ink, a “shoulder” region with overlapping matt and reflective inks and an outer region with only matt ink.

Abstract: The present invention relates in a first aspect to an adhesion material for use in an individual containing encapsulated phase-change material. In particular, the adhesion material is for cosmetical or medicinal use in the body of an individual. The adhesion material contains encapsulated phase-change material having preferably a phase transition temperature above 40° C., like above 55° C. The adhesion material is particularly useful for adhering elements, like dental restorations, e.g. crowns or bridge, or brackets on elements in the body of an individual, like teeth or implants. That is, the adhesion material is particularly useful for adhering material in dental applications. In another aspect, a method is provided allowing removing a bracket, a crown or bridge, from implants, abutments or teeth. Furthermore, dental implant restoration systems and kits for permanent fixation of implants allowing improved removal thereof are provided.
Abstract: A sample mounting plate has: a substrate made of alumina ceramic which exhibits white; and a cover layer which is laminated so as to cover the front surface of the substrate and which has multiple grooves formed in some areas. The cover layer has: a conductive interference layer which exhibits conductivity and is configured so as to exhibit a prescribed color (such as navy blue) through light interference and which is laminated on the substrate; and a water-repellent layer which exhibits higher water repellency than that of the substrate and is laminated on at least a part of the conductive interference layer and on which a sample is to be mounted.
