Hollow Or Container Type Article (e.g., Tube, Vase, Etc.) Patents (Class 428/34.1)
  • Patent number: 10800090
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a plastic container having a curled rim (320) comprises the steps of providing a sheet of plastic material; drawing a portion thereof into a mould (120) to form a bottom and wall (310?) of the container, leaving a surrounding portion of material to form a rim (320) of the container; cutting the rim loose from a remaining portion of material; and curling the rim. In the curling step, an inner part of the rim is supported by a supporting member while an outer part is pressed by a pressing member (230) moving relative to the supporting member for the rim to be bent around the supporting member.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to forming shaped thermoplastic articles having smooth peripheries. Many thermoplastic articles have sharp edges formed upon molding or cutting the article from a feedstock sheet. Such sharp edges can damage thin plastic films or flesh which they contact, and smoothing the edges is desirable. Described herein are methods of forming a smooth periphery for such sharp-edged articles by rolling over the sharp edge. The smoothing operation is performed by forming a deflectable flange including a bend region separated from the potentially sharp peripheral edge by a spacer, deflecting a portion of the deflectable flange, and softening at least one bent portion of the deflectable flange to yield a smooth periphery upon cooling.

Abstract: Biodegradable composite membranes with antimicrobial properties consisting of nanocellulose fibrils, chitosan, and S-Nitroso-N-acetylpenicillamine (SNAP) were developed and tested for food packaging applications. Nitric oxide donor, SNAP was encapsulated into completely dispersed chitosan in 100 mL, 0.1N acetic acid and was thoroughly mixed with nanocellulose fibrils (CNF) to produce a composite membrane. The fabricated membranes had a uniform dispersion of chitosan and SNAP within the nanocellulose fibrils, which was confirmed through Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) micrographs and chemiluminescence nitric oxide analyzer. The membranes prepared without SNAP showed lower water vapor permeability than that of the membranes with SNAP. The addition of SNAP resulted in a decrease in the Young's modulus for both 2-layer and 3-layer membrane configurations.

Abstract: An imitation ceramic vase manufactured by a method which includes the following steps. (1) Applying a primer layer material on a vase made by a non-ceramic material, and letting the primer layer material to dry. (2) Applying at least one layer of first middle layer material on the primer layer material on the non-ceramic material vase. (3) Applying at least a layer of second middle layer material on the first middle layer material, and letting the second middle layer material to dry, the second middle layer material having a color which is different from that of the first middle later material. (4) Applying a surface layer material on at least one of the first middle layer material and the second middle layer material, and letting the surface layer material to dry. The surface layer material is a polyurethane imitating porcelain surface coating or an ultraviolet imitating porcelain surface coating.

  • Patent number: 10163997
Abstract: The present invention discloses an OLED array substrate and a manufacturing method thereof, a display apparatus. The OLED array substrate includes a TFT and an OLED. The method includes: forming an oxide semiconductor layer by a film forming process, and performing one patterning process on the oxide semiconductor layer to form an active layer of the TFT and a first electrode of the OLED; sequentially forming a first insulating layer and a second insulating layer on the active layer and the first electrode of the OLED, the first insulating layer being a lyophilic layer, and the second insulating layer being a lyophobic layer; forming an accommodation cavity exposing the first electrode by performing a patterning process on the first and second insulating layers; and injecting, into the accommodation cavity, and drying a solution containing an organic light emitting material to form an organic light emitting material layer.
