The system includes a user information module configured to receive and store demographic and personal information about the user. A study plan generator configured to generate a set of study materials for the user based upon the information stored in the user information module is provided. A user communication module configured to send a communication to the use and a user response module configured to receive a response from the user regarding the communication is also provided. A study plan adaptor module is provided to revise the set of study materials for the user based on the user's response to the communication.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an assembly process visualization apparatus. The assembly process visualization apparatus includes an authoring unit, a storage unit, and a visualization unit. The authoring unit authors an assembly process manual in such a way as to model each stage of an assembly process of assembling a plurality of components and completing a finished product using 3-Dimensional (3D) stereoscopic images. The storage unit stores the assembly process manual authored using the authoring unit. The visualization unit visualizes the each stage of the assembly process manual stored in the storage unit to a user.

Abstract: A computer-based educational system provides the user or instructor with a suite of graphic editing tools, allowing the design of graphical objects, such as symbols and text that can be displayed to a viewer, such as a student, using a projector or computer terminal. In order to facilitate the educational process, the invention provides the user with robust ability to control parameters of the graphical objects, allowing the user to create simulations or models of subject matter, such as mathematical principles, in order to facilitate the educational process. In the preferred embodiment, the parameters of these graphical objects can actually be defined in terms of variables and specifically functions or expressions including those variables and then the values of the variables controlled in real-time by the user. This ability allows the user to control the execution of the simulations or models, enabling the user or instructor to dovetail the execution of those simulations with the instructional process.

Abstract: A system for increasing user interaction with a digital video library. In response to receiving a question by an interactive digital video library server from a user regarding course material being presented from a digital video library, it is determined whether the question is in an audio format. In response to determining that the question is in an audio format, the question is converted into a text format. The course material is searched in a time sliced video index database for an answer to the question using keywords found in the text format of the question. Also, other course materials similar to the course material are searched in a video knowledge base. A weight is assigned to each search result hit found in the course material and the other course materials. Search result hits are outputted in a priority order according to assigned weight and user preference.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing help information on a display device associated with a power driven wheelchair is provided. In one embodiment, the method includes: a) displaying screen content displayed on the display device during operation or support of the power driven wheelchair, b) detecting selective activation of a first input device, c) in response to detection of the first input device activation, selecting help information content from a collection of help information, the selected help information content being contextually related to the screen content displayed on the display device, and d) displaying the contextually-related help information content on the display device. Abstract: A method for matching buyers willing to pay for tailored videos or pictures of a faraway place and sellers willing to get paid for taking a video or picture with their smartphone in a nearby location may include the use of a map-based graphic user interface which shows bids and asks posted by user. The interface includes requests for live videos from buyers and real time location of sellers available for shooting a live video. Also, bids of videos or pictures for sale may be published using the interface on the basis of a shooting location and requests may be posted for recorded videos or pictures to be received at a later time. Tools for remotely directing the video when streamed in real time and the means to prevent misuse by tagging the video or picture with a unique identification code are provided. A service provider may manage the service in a server based architecture dealing with payments.
