Abstract: A method for changing a processor instruction randomly, covertly, and uniquely, so that the reverse process can restore it faithfully to its original form, making it virtually impossible for a malicious user to know how the bits are changed, preventing them from using a buffer overflow attack to write code with the same processor instruction changes into said processor's memory with the goal of taking control of the processor. When the changes are reversed prior to the instruction being executed, reverting the instruction back to its original value, malicious code placed in memory will be randomly altered so that when it is executed by the processor it produces chaotic, random behavior that will not allow control of the processor to be compromised, eventually producing a processing error that will cause the processor to either shut down the software process where the code exists to reload, or reset.

Abstract: A system and associated method are provided for dispensing lottery tickets at a retail establishment. Lottery tickets are provided for purchase from a dispenser array in the retail establishment, the dispenser array including a plurality of separate bins having a pack of different respective lottery tickets stored therein. The dispenser array is in communication with a central lottery server. Upon loading of a ticket pack into the bins, a code associated with the ticket pack is scanned and transmitted to the central lottery server. With the central lottery server, a total minimum winning prize amount of the lottery tickets in the pack associated with each bin is determined, and a message is generated and transmitted as a function of this minimum total prize amount of the lottery tickets in all of the bins in the array, with the message being displayed to consumers at the retail establishment.

Abstract: A method and system for a card-based game with simulates a traditional keno game through the use of a specially designed deck of playing cards. The system includes a computer, a scanner, a specialty card shoe, and the specially designed deck of cards. The method includes first shuffling the deck of cards by the specialty card shoe. Next, a card is drawn from the deck of cards and scanned, thus extracting a unique number that is associated with a spot on a traditional Keno card. The unique number is then associated and indicated to a spot on a simulated Keno card by the computer. This process is repeated for twenty iteration to compile winning numbers. The winning numbers are then compared against guessed spots associated with a user account to identify a set of matching spots. A primary payout transaction is managed based on the set of matching spots.
