Abstract: An electronic storage box, an electronic storage box opening and closing method, and computer program product, comprising: safety, portability, convenience, economical efficiency and presentation effects are provided. In case a cryptograph setting request signal is received from a PC 21, the electronic storage box 1 stores cryptograph information included in the cryptograph setting request signal. In case an opening and closing request signal is received from a PC 21, the electronic storage box 1 determines whether or not the cryptograph information included in the opening and closing request signal and the cryptograph information stored in a key storage portion 103 match with each other. In case it is determined that these pieces of the cryptograph information match with each other, the electronic storage box 1 allows a lid 12 to shift either to an opened state or a closed state according to the opening and closing state of the lid 12.

Abstract: The Container-Locking Device with respect to this particular invention has been designed to fasten the locking upright bar of one door of a container to another. It has been invented to include two virtually symmetrical segments of a pair of locking bar fasteners, where the flat end of each segment, opposite to the end fastened to the container door locking bar, will be fixed to one of the two virtually symmetrical segments of a padlock shroud. There is also a separation-prevention unit which prevents the shroud from being separated and eliminates the gap between the two segments when they are joined, in order to prevent a bolt cutter from being able to be inserted into the padlock shackle.

Abstract: A collapsible container includes a main frame and at least one pivotable side wall that is pivotable between a collapsed position and an opened position. The pivotable side wall is provided with a spring lock insert secured therein and biased toward a lock position in which a lock portion of the spring lock insert extends beyond an end edge of the pivotable side wall. The main frame includes a latch opening that receives the spring lock insert when the pivotable side wall is in the opened position.

Abstract: A lockable container for securing assets that has an integral and internal locking mechanism and methods of use are provided. An illustrative lockable container may include first and second covers configured to move between an open position, which allows access to the asset, and a closed position, which encloses the asset. The locking mechanism of the lockable container may include a locking mate arrangement operatively coupled to at least one of the first and second covers, and a locking member that is configured to move between an unlocked position and a locked position. The entirety of the locking member may be internal to the container when the locking member is in the unlocked position. A magnetic key arrangement may interact with the locking member to move the locking member between the unlocked and locked positions.

Abstract: A security storage container has a primary security feature that is adapted to be locked and unlocked with an appropriate key. A secondary security feature is activated when the security storage container is opened without first unlocking the lock with the key. In one embodiment, the secondary security feature includes prongs that are moved to an extended position when the primary security feature of the container is defeated. In the extended position, the prongs will at least damage the item of merchandise protected by the security storage container. The extended position of the prongs may also further lock the item of merchandise within the security storage container.

Abstract: A method for using a lockable storage container includes the steps of moving the lock from a locked position to an unlocked position while the lock is carried by the container. An indicator is used to indicate the status of the lock to the user. The lock is held in the unlocked position so that it cannot accidently move back into the locked position. A magnetic key is used to unlock the lock and move the lock slide to the unlocked position.

Abstract: A security storage container has a primary security feature that is adapted to be locked and unlocked with an appropriate key. A secondary security feature is activated when the security storage container is opened without first unlocking the lock with the key. In one embodiment, the secondary security feature includes prongs that are moved to an extended position when the primary security feature of the container is defeated. In the extended position, the prongs will at least damage the item of merchandise protected by the security storage container. The extended position of the prongs may also further lock the item of merchandise within the security storage container.

Abstract: A shackle is provided that is fixedly mounted to a surface. The shackle can have a body, a hasp, and a locking pin. The body can define at least one mounting bore that is configured for mounting the shackle to the surface. The proximal end of the hasp is configured to rotate relative to the body and the distal end of the hasp is configured to selectively engage the locking pin, such that an enclosed area is defined. A tethering device can be attached to the shackle via cooperative engagement with the selectively enclosed area.

Abstract: A lockable container comprising a lock portion and a container is provided. The lock portion has a first part and a second part, wherein the first part has an opening component and at least a lock mechanism, the second part has at least a latch driven by the opening component. The container fits the second part. The container has at least an inner space and a wedge corresponding to the latch. The lock mechanism restricts a displacement of the opening component when the lock mechanism is locked. The lock mechanism releases the opening component when the lock mechanism is unlocked.

Abstract: An item securing apparatus and method for securing at least one item in a ground surface at a beach or other location is provided. The item securing apparatus includes a ground engaging member that is insertable into the ground surface and a locking housing that removably attaches to the ground engaging member. The locking housing is secured to the ground engaging member with one or more locking devices. An item securing mechanism attaches the item to the ground engaging member which secures the item to the ground surface.

Abstract: A firearm aluminum travel case (10) for protecting rifles during transportation consist of a rectangular lower enclosure body (20) and a rectangular upper enclosure body (34) arcuately attached together with a continuous hinge (52) along longitudinal sides. Cushions (48) and (50) are incorporated into each body respectively for retaining at least one rifle securely during transit. A resilient gasket (56) forms a seal between the lower and upper enclosure body also recessed tilt casters (62) and a handle (64) are provided for manual towing. An electrical two point locking system is housed within the enclosure bodies and includes a touch pad (70) incorporating an electronic controller (62) that electrically operates the locking system. A mechanical bypass panel cam lock (104) circumvents the electrical two point locking system providing access assurance.

Abstract: A lock mechanism for a rotatable cover adapted for use with a case is disclosed. The rotatable cover includes a fastener and a first positioning portion. The lock mechanism includes a first fixing element and a first elastic member. The first fixing element has a locking hole for engagingly receiving the fastener. The first fixing element includes a first board, a second board positioned opposite to the first board, a connecting portion and a protrusion portion. A slot is formed between the first board and the second board. The connecting portion is disposed above the first board and the second board and connected to the protrusion portion. The protrusion portion includes a pivot shaft and a second positioning portion. The pivot shaft is inserted into a pivot portion of the case. The first elastic member is located between the first positioning portion and the second positioning portion.

Abstract: A portable safe for assembly with an apertured member includes a safe housing and a safe door. The safe housing has an internal cavity extending to an access port, and at least one opening configured to align with at least one aperture of the apertured member. The safe door is securable to the housing to substantially block the access port. The safe door includes a locking mechanism having at least one locking member secured in a housing engaging position when the locking mechanism is in a locked condition. The at least one locking member is movable to a housing disengaging position when the locking mechanism is in an unlocked condition. The safe door further includes a lock interface that is selectively operable to move the locking mechanism from the locked condition to the unlocked condition.

Abstract: The system described here is a shipping container security system which includes an RF data communications device; and an RF device mounted on an interior surface of a door of the shipping container and configured to form a short-range communications link with the radio communication component inside the shipping container via the antenna mounted on the exterior of the shipping container when the RF device and the radio communication component are within radio communications range. The RF device is mounted on the interior surface of the door such that, the RF device and the radio communication component are within radio communications range when the door is closed, and the RF device and the radio communication component are outside of radio communications range when the door is opened, whereby the opening and closing of the door of the shipping container is determinable.

Abstract: A safety enhanced pistol holder is provided, it has double security mechanism which consists of a locking mechanism and a safety enhanced mechanism. The locking mechanism consists mainly a braker having the function as a hook, it locks onto pistol when pistol is put into the pistol holder. The safety enhanced mechanism has a button and pin which inserts through a side hole of said braker so to prevent the braker from moving. By locking the pistol and secure the lock, pistol can be safely kept in the pistol holder from voluntary robbery and involuntary fall out. In order to pull out pistol, the user must push the button of said safety enhanced mechanism to a position of unlocking the locking mechanism, and press the pistol down to release the locking mechanism for pulling the pistol out of pistol holder.

Abstract: An apparatus for securing a closure such as door or a window that opens and closes by movement relative to a fixed structure such as a wall or a floor. Many embodiments provide a device for relocating a padlock from its normal location where it secures a fastener (such as a hasp) to a location for the padlock that is more accessible for locking and unlocking the padlock. Typically an extender is provided, where the extender has a hook at a first end that is disposed through the eye of the staple of the hasp, and at an opposing second end the extender has an annulus, such as a hole in the extender or a loop or ring affixed to the extender. The shackle of the padlock may be disposed through the annulus and may be disposed through the eye of a second staple to secure the door or window in a closed or open position. Some embodiments employ a rigid sheath to enclose at least a portion of the extender.

Abstract: The present invention provides a security device and method for securing a media case. The security device may include a hinged pair of closure members, which when closed define a substantially rectangular aperture for receiving a media case to be secured with a close fit. The closure members include an internal protrusion that extends within a portion of the substantially rectangular aperture that coincides with a finger cavity portion of a media case. The closure members include a latch opposite the side including the internal protrusion.

Abstract: A lockbox with user-configured combination includes a body that has a top surface, side surfaces, an attachment bail and an interior cavity that extends inwardly from an opening in a side surface. The attachment bail extends from the top and slides from an open to a closed position. A first combination lock is located on the top surface and secures the bail in the closed position. A first key lock is located within the interior cavity and controls a combination for the first combination lock. A door is removably secured to the opening. A second combination lock is fitted to the door, controls access to the interior cavity through the opening, and has at least two tumbler rings. The tumbler rings have a plurality of user-selectable positions, each identified with at least one character. A second key lock in the interior cavity controls a combination for the second combination lock.

Abstract: A safe includes a housing, a door and a locking mechanism. The housing includes a lock interface disposed on an external surface of the housing. The housing defines an internal cavity in communication with an opening of the housing. The door is configured to be assembled with the opening of the housing. The door includes first and second shackle legs configured to extend into the housing when the door is assembled with the housing. The locking mechanism is disposed within the housing and includes at least one locking member configured to lockingly engage the first and second shackle legs when the door is assembled with the housing. When the door is assembled with the housing, proper manipulation of the lock interface disengages the at least one locking member from the first and second shackle legs, thereby allowing the door to be removed from the housing.

Abstract: A portable remote control key case including a first case shell and a second case shell that are securely fastened to each other. The case includes a case body, which has a component chamber and a key socket, and a mechanical key, which is partially received in the key socket. First and second engagement projections are formed extending across a boundary between the first and second case shells. The mechanical key includes clamp portions for clamping the first and second engagement projections.

Abstract: Locks for luggage, travelcases, briefcases and the like that can be operated by setting a combination or by using a key include an indicator to provide a signal in response to use of the key. The locks retain relatively movable components in latched engagement when locked, and permit relative movement of the components when unlocked. In some embodiments, the indicator provides a visual signal if an associated travelcase has been opened for inspection by unlocking the associated lock using a key; and, in some embodiments, the indicator can be reset upon entry of a proper combination.

Abstract: A combination-changeable complex lock includes a movable plate, a combination lock, and a sliding member. The combination lock is composed of two notched rotating discs, two gearwheels, and a combination-alteration control device. The combination-alteration control device is rotatable to separate the gearwheels from the notched rotating discs for allowing change of the set combination. The sliding member is controllable by the combination lock to engage or disengage the peripheral notches of notched rotating discs. When the combination lock is locked, the sliding member is disengaged from the notched rotating discs and forced against the movable plate to bias the movable plate.

Abstract: A theft deterrent device includes first and second jaws pivotally connected to one another and pivotally movable between open and closed positions. The jaws form in the closed position an interior chamber and a through passage for receiving therethrough a portion of an article of merchandise. A lock slide is slidable within the interior chamber between locked and unlocked positions and lockable by a lock in the locked position to secure the first and second jaws together in the closed position. The lock slide includes lock hooks which lockably engage lock hooks of the second jaw. The lock slide includes locking and unlocking ledges which a resilient, magnetically attractable lock finger of the lock respectively engages in the locked and unlocked positions. An externally accessible thumb grip operatively engages the lock slide to move it between the locked and unlocked positions. An EAS tag is disposed within the device.

Abstract: A lockable package can include a case and an insert. The case and insert can collectively include engagement and receiving mechanisms to provide the lockable package with a locking feature. When the engagement and receiving mechanisms are engaged, the insert can be substantially immobilized, and access to the items stored in or on the insert can thereby be limited. The case can include a lock deactivation feature for disabling the locking feature of the lockable package. The receiving or engagement mechanisms can be included on a slideable insert for moving the mechanisms in and out of a functioning position. If the mechanisms are out of position, then the receiving and engagement mechanisms can not engage, thereby preventing the insert from being locked into the case.

A second wall is joined to the first end of the mounting bracket and extends in a first direction away from the first wall of the locking bracket. In one embodiment, a lock housing is fixed to the first wall of the locking bracket.

Abstract: A security tag holder is releasably clamped onto a garment. The holder includes first and second members coupled for relative pivotal movement about a pivot pin. The first member includes first clamping and locking regions at opposite sides of the pin, respectively. The second member includes second clamping and locking regions at opposite sides of the pin. The first locking region has a recess and a fixed magnet. Abstract: A container having a box door and a box is disclosed in this invention, which has an internal area within the box for storage; when the box is joined with the box door, the internal area is sealed off from the external environment. A latching mechanism is disposed within the box door and comprises a metal actuator and a latch plate, and the metal actuator and the latch plate are connected. Movements of the metal actuator allow the latch plate to shift positionally, and thus the latch plate is moved from a first position to a second position. When the latch plate is in the first position, the box and the box door may be separated from each other, whereas when the latch plate is in the second position, the box and the box door are inseparable.

Abstract: A connector for a high amperage, AC or DC connection comprises a plug and a receptacle configured to a securely mate and lock with each other. Connector receptacles comprise a locking mechanism having a bottom latch bracket having two slots, a top latch bracket having arcuate grooves and being pivotally coupled to the bottom latch bracket, and a latching rod configured to engage a plug and having guide pins extending through the slots and arcuate grooves. When the top latch bracket is in an unlocked position, the distance between the guide pins is at a maximum. Upon turning the top latch bracket, the guide pins move cooperatively within the arcuate grooves and the distance between the guide pins is minimized and the latching rod securely engages the plug.

Abstract: An electronic marker device affixes a fishing rod to a fishing reel. The device includes a marker housing having a base and a cover to wrap around an arm of a fishing reel and enclose a foot of the reel and a rod of a fishing rod thereby preventing removal of the fishing reel from the fishing rod. The marker housing also supports an electronic marker so as to deter unauthorized removal of the rod and reel combination. The marker may be preferably an electronic article surveillance (EAS) marker.

Abstract: An item locking apparatus for releasibly anchoring personal items to beach sand includes an auger having an upright auger shaft with a shaft lower end and a shaft upper end and a ramped auger screw flange below the shaft upper end for screwing into beach sand; a lug structure fixedly secured to the shaft upper end; a locking post extending upwardly from and free spinning relative to the lug structure and having a padlock engaging structure through which a padlock bolt can pass; a shield disk having a central disk port through which the auger shaft upper end passes so that the shield disk is rotatably mounted immediately below and is retained by the lug structure and a free spinning shield dome lockingly covering the lug structure having a dome port through which the post extends upwardly, so that the shield disk and shield dome spin freely around the auger shaft and prevent unauthorized persons from gripping and rotating the auger shaft.

Abstract: Portable locker apparatus is disclosed comprising three parts or components which includes a locker body formed of plastic material a tray for holding beverage cans placed horizontally on wave form ridges in the tray, and a carrying bag fitting around the portable locker apparatus, and in this first embodiment a cable fitting in slots in the portable locker apparatus with a padlock connecting eyelets on the cable ends and to anchor the whole assembly as needed. The second embodiment excludes the cable and slots but includes all other components of the portable locker apparatus, beverage tray and carrying bag.

Abstract: Drug delivery systems and methods involve associating unique keys to patients. Medication intended for a patient is then locked in a container that may only be unlocked with the particular unique key associated with that patient or a master key. The master key may have a counter to count the number of times that it is used, so as to discourage unnecessary use of the master key. The medication containers may be locked with template locks that are subsequently encoded to be unlocked by a particular unique key.

Abstract: A locking mechanism for securing the cover of a thin-walled box to the box frame. The locking mechanism includes a clip bracket adapted to engage a wall of the box frame, a lock body adapted to latch to the clip bracket and engage the box cover, a locking member carried by the clip bracket and adapted to clamp the clip bracket to the box wall when the locking member is in a clamping position, and a pivotable actuating lever adapted to actuate the locking member into the clamping position. The locking member and the actuating lever can be implemented as a two-piece system comprising first and second pivoting members. Alternatively, the locking member and the actuating lever can be integrally formed as a one-piece system. The locking mechanism is capable of multiple mounting positions on the box without drilling, and uses a spring-loaded plunger assembly that allows for a quick, keyless, slam installation.

Abstract: An electronic marker device affixes a fishing rod to a fishing reel. The device includes a marker housing having a base and a cover to enclose the moveable socket of a fishing rod thereby preventing removal of the fishing reel from the fishing rod. The marker housing also supports an electronic marker so as to deter unauthorized removal of the rod and reel combination. The marker may be preferably an electronic article surveillance (EAS) marker.

Abstract: A lock box that includes a body for storing keys, a lid, and a latching mechanism. The lid is arranged for selectively covering the opening. The body and the lid include securing apertures that are cooperatively positioned when the lid covers the opening. The body and lid also include cutouts that are aligned when the lid covers the opening. The latching mechanism is slideably coupled to the lid and includes a cantilever spring and a tab. The tab passes through the cutouts in the body and lid when the lid covers the opening and the latching mechanism is in a latched position. The cantilever spring is partially located in an aperture in the lid. The position of the cantilever spring is determined by whether the latching mechanism is latched or unlatched. The lock box when secured can require the cooperation of multiple users to open.
