An electronic marketplace may provide a user with the option to sample the performance of an item being browsed, and can generate and/or configure one or more virtual machines to simulate functions of the item, using parameters that are specific to the item and/or that are tailored to the user's device. In some cases, the performance of different items can be compared, e.g. by simultaneous presentation of visual information, and/or item(s) performance can be virtualized in various ways that allow the user to identify differences or capabilities that might otherwise be difficult to discern. Abstract: One embodiment provides a method that performs the steps of collecting network signal information from a sensor of a mobile device located in a designated vendor area. The network signal information is produced by a fixed transmitting device and has a corresponding network time stamp. The mobile device located in the designated vendor area receives a payment notification from a vendor; extracting from the payment notification, time stamp information and a name of the vendor sending the payment notification; and matching the time stamp information with the corresponding network time stamp and automatically updating a labeled localization database. The labeled localization database comprises previously mapped localization information corresponding to multiple spatial zones of the designated vendor area and the updating comprises linking the name of the vendor sending the payment notification with a physical location of the fixed transmitting device. Abstract: Processing of point of sale (“POS”) redemptions via a “tap” of a contactless device comprises a POS data collector that facilitates a connection with a contactless device. A merchant scans items for purchase using a POS scanner, which captures product identification information. The POS scanner forwards the product identification information to a POS terminal. The POS data collector intercepts the product identification information between the POS scanner and the POS terminal. A user taps the contactless device in the POS data collector's radio frequency field, and a communication channel is established between the contactless device and the POS data collector. The POS data collector identifies the user via the contactless device and identifies coupons, merchant offers, and other value-added services to redeem with the transaction. The POS data collector forwards this information to the POS terminal, the redemptions are applied to the transaction, and the communication is terminated.

Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for a network of personalized devices determining data for shopping predictions. A personalized device may include processing components for determining purchase predictions for one or more items to purchase on behalf of a user. The purchase predictions may be based on personality traits and other information that may indicate interests of the user. The purchase predictions may also be based on purchase information for the item, including inventory of the item, price of the item, availability of the item to the user, or other factor. Once the purchase prediction is determined, the personalized device may generate a purchase request for the item from a merchant having the item at a physical merchant location accessible to the personalized device or a delivery device associated with the personalized device. The personalized device may retrieve and deliver the purchased item.

The fifth number has first and second portions. Back within the PICC, a sixth number is determined, which is used in the determination of a seventh number. The seventh number is determined by encryption by a cipher block chaining operating mode of the sixth number with an initialization vector equal to the first portion. If the seventh number is different from the second portion, the authentication is interrupted.

Abstract: There are provided systems and method for wireless beacon communications through magnetic card readers. A check-in at a merchant location may be completed using a beacon at the merchant location with a communication device. When a user wishes to pay for an item, the beacon may alert the user through their communication device that payment may be effectuated through the communication device. The communication device may communicate a payment token to the wireless beacon that identifies payment information for the user using a payment provider. The payment token may be encrypted, and the wireless beacon may decrypted the payment token prior to transmission to an accessory of a point of sale device, such as a magnetic card reader using magnetic field generation. This payment token may then be transmitted to a point of sale device, which may utilize a payment provider and/or a payment card issuer to effectuate payment.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for reprinting a paper copy of a receipt at a physical store location. The receipt printing may be based off of an electronic receipt. A customer may provide receipt identification to a returns associate at a POS terminal in a store location. Information may be sent to a server or computer system to request that a receipt be reprinted. The server may then process the request and transmit receipt information to the POS terminal where a paper copy of the receipt is printed for the returns associate. A modified receipt may be printed which includes receipt information for additional transactions. A modified receipt may be printed which includes additional information regarding items on the receipt.

A server associated with the payment processing service may receive, from a point-of-sale (POS) system, first payment data to satisfy a cost of a transaction between a customer and the merchant and may determine that the POS system is currently located outside of a region where the merchant utilizes the payment processing service to perform card-present transactions. The server may extract a portion of the first payment data, the portion of the first payment data corresponding to information required for a card-not-present transaction and may facilitate, based at least in part on the portion of the first payment data, a card-not-present transaction, instead of a card-present transaction, to authorize the cost of the transaction.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for a behavior-based identity system that recognizes and/or authenticates users based at least in part on determining stored behavioral events. For example, stored behavioral events may have been observed previously at a client or have been predefined by an authenticated user. Multiple behavioral events expressed by the client relative to a network site are recorded. The behavioral events may correspond to data that a user has elected to share, and the user may opt-in or opt-out of the behavior-based identity system. A comparison is performed between the multiple observed behavioral events and the stored behavioral events associated with a user identity. An inverse identity confidence score as to whether the user identity does not belong to a user at the client is generated based at least in part on the comparison.
