Abstract: A display is created and manipulated in connection with an event, such as a notable security event investigation. A plurality of activity indicators for the event are displayed in a time order using both horizontal and vertical directions. Each activity indicator corresponds to a an activity related to the event. A linear display of shapes is provided, each shape corresponding to one or more of the activity indicators, of the same type, in a time sequence. In response to a user action, the time period corresponding to the plurality of shapes is changed so that shapes corresponding to a new time period selected by the user are displayed. Also in response to this user action, only the activity indicators corresponding to the new time period selected by the user are displayed.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for identifying competitors of a particular company. The method identifies a set of potential competitors of a particular company. For each potential competitors, the method calculates a score quantifying the competitive relationship of the potential competitor to the particular company. When the calculated score is above a particular threshold, the method associates the potential competitor as a competitor of the particular company.

Abstract: The invention generally relates to computer-based systems to evaluate and market clinical trial research centers. In certain aspects, the invention provides computer-based systems to collect information about clinical research centers. Systems include a tangible, non-transitory memory coupled to a processor operable to retrieve, based on a user's input, an identity of a clinical research center and prompt the user for information relating generally to the center. The system can collect disease-specific information by prompting the user for a selection of a disease and then collecting from the user information identifying an ability of the center to perform one or more tests relating to the disease.

Abstract: A communication system and servers are disclosed. The illustrative communication system is taught to include a user-facing rebate system that has a line item extraction engine, a purchasable quantities engine, and a rebate matching engine that are capable of identifying materials required in an estimate and corresponding applicable rebates or discounts, thereby facilitating the use of rebate and discount programs and benefitting from the attendant cost savings.

Abstract: System and method for multi-core processing based time series management, capable of handling high volume time series data with high speed processing for time series forecasting. The method includes storing each time series as a Structured Query Language (SQL) array in a single row using a plurality of time series parameters. Further, stored plurality of time series are analyzed on receiving a forecast request using a correlation based pattern detection mechanism. The pattern detection mechanism enables deriving a subset of forecasting models, from which an optimal or best-fit forecasting model is identified to generate one or more forecasted time series.

Abstract: A system and method for optimizing waste or recycling routes for one or more service vehicles are disclosed. Service providers can determine optimal sets of routes for a fleet of vehicles to traverse in order to service customers more quickly and efficiently. Unique route shapes can be utilized to minimize route overlapping and route balancing can be utilized to produce routes with more manageable daily workloads.

Abstract: Examples described herein include systems and methods performing scalable and dynamic data processing and extraction. A first example method relates to processing events from a source. The method can include detecting an event generated by the source and predicting a probability of that event being part of a span including multiple events. The method can include waiting for the additional multiple events to occur within the predicted timeframe and, if occurring, packaging the events together for handling by a single dynamic function. Otherwise, the events can each be handled by separate dynamic functions. A second example method relates to performing dynamic data extraction from a source. The method can include waking up a function based on a regular poll interval, determining a probability of a data change at the source based on historical data extractions, and invoking an extraction function based on the probability of the data change.

Abstract: Provenance analysis systems and methods. Datums representing relationships between entities can be stored in a knowledge store. Datums can be received from agents as agents perform activities. Activity records are be stored in a provenance graph, the activity record and associate received datums with any input datums used in the activity. Provenance subgraphs can 5 be retrieved by traversing the provenance graph for selected datums and presented through a user interface. Provenance subgraphs can be augmented with trust modifiers determined based on attributions, confidences, and refutations provided by a user. Trust modifiers can be propagated downstream to enable the addressing of junctions in variable confidence.

Abstract: Embodiments disclose a system that allows for improved generation of web requests for scraping that, because of the nature of the requests and time and manner they are sent out, appear more organic, as in human generated, than conventional automated scraping systems. The system then manages how a client request to scrape a target website is made to the site, masking the request in a manner that makes it appear to the Web server as if the request is not generated by an automated system. In this way, by appearing more organic, Web servers may be less likely to block requests from the disclosed system or may take longer to block requests from the disclosed system. By avoiding Web servers blocking requests and extending the lifetime of IP proxies before they are blocked, embodiments can use a limited IP proxy address space more efficiently.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to tools to facilitate the configuration of interactive agents, sometimes referred to as bots, chatbots, virtual robots, or talkbots. Specifically, the disclosure relates to the provision of a map view visualization of an interactive agent. The map view can display a complexity indicator or usage percentage for each dialog and provide an easy mechanism for creation of new dialogs, actions, parameters, rules, and logic.

Abstract: A method for applying a rule to data includes receiving data from a data source and processing a particular data unit of an ordered number of data units derived at least in part from the received data. The processing includes determining a set of data units including an ordered subset of data units from the ordered number of data units, each data unit of the ordered subset being related to the particular data unit and occurring before the particular data unit in the ordered number of data units. Prior to applying the rule the state variable is updated to a state that would result from iterating in order through the set of data units and, for each data unit of the ordered subset, applying the rule to the data unit. The rule is then applied to the particular data unit including reading the updated value of the state variable.

Abstract: Data processing systems and methods, according to various embodiments, are adapted for mapping various questions regarding a data breach from a master questionnaire to a plurality of territory-specific data breach disclosure questionnaires. The answers to the questions in the master questionnaire are used to populate the territory-specific data breach disclosure questionnaires and determine whether disclosure is required in territory. The system can automatically notify the appropriate regulatory bodies for each territory where it is determined that data breach disclosure is required.

In the method, one or more parameters of a plurality of parameters are applied to the identified asset and user-asset relationships to determine one or more designations associated with the identified asset and user-asset relationships. The processor identifies a tool specific for testing the particular NFR from the plurality of production robots; and implements the identified tool's application programming interface (API) to automatically execute a test scenario to validate the particular NFR. The test scenario is selected from a plurality of test scenarios to be executed and tested by the production robots to validate each NFR during the development phase and to determine that the application is stable and ready for production based on validation of the plurality of NFRs prior to entering into a production phase of the application.

The policy results are applied to the real name attributes of the query statement to obtain query results.

Abstract: Described in detail herein are simulation systems for a production environment and related methods of use. In one exemplary system a routing application receives a request associated with one or more physical objects. Based on the request, the routing application retrieves one or more simulation profiles from a database and forwards the request and the simulation profiles to a first computing system. The first computing system hosts a simulation environment and simultaneously executes a simulation of the request for each simulation profile in the simulation environment. The first computing system generates resultant data in response to executing each simulation that may be used to alter a production application for a production environment.

Abstract: In entity transition from legacy systems to a big data distributed data platform, numerous system-based architectural gaps have surfaced. There exists a need for a bridge component for each of the architectural gaps in order to support the entity transition to the big data distributed data platform. These bridge components include a variety of frameworks that are configured to automate certain processes that are needed for the transition. These processes have only become necessary as a result of the Hadoop platform. The automated processes include a snapshot load platform. The snapshot load platform enables the addition of a new view to the historical tables. The platform includes replacing the entire table in a truncated scenario. The platform includes replacing cases in a refresh or update scenario.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein for seasonal pattern determination and validation. In one or more embodiments, a set of time-series data is received to analyze for seasonal behavior. In response a plurality of patterns may be generated, including a first pattern and a second pattern, such that each of the first pattern and the second pattern approximate data points that represent a same sub-period of multiple instances of a season within the set of time-series data. One or more other instances of the season may then be analyzed to determine whether at least part of the first pattern or the second pattern is detected. Based at least in part on determining that the at least part of the first pattern is detected in the at least part of the same sub-period, a responsive action that is associated with the first pattern may be performed.

A business prediction apparatus is further provided. The business prediction method and the business prediction apparatus take into account data features of some business samples of being rejected in a business validation, while considering business samples of passing the business validation. This restores a business scenario, reduces the waste of costs of the rejected samples, and balances demands for a modeling sample and a rejected sample reasonably when there are insufficient samples of passing the business validation.

Abstract: A system and method for evaluating soil characteristics. The system and method includes providing one or more soil test kits to a user. The soil tests kits may include ion-exchange resins and may instruct the user to collect a soil sample from his/her growing area, to combine the soil sample with the ion-exchange resins, and to provide the combination to the system for analysis. Other test kits may not include ion-exchange resins and may instruct the user to provide a soil sample from his/her growing area to the system for analysis. The system evaluates the ion-exchange resins and/or the soil samples to identify nutrient levels, pH levels, and other characteristics of the soil. Using the evaluation results, the system provides feedback, recommendations and/or products to the user to improve the soil conditions and to ensure a successful crop, yield, quality, and nutrient density.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for tagging data. The method is executed by a device having a communications module and includes providing via the communications module, to a client device, an option to associate tags with an event, the option providing at least one automatically determined tag based on: i) the event, ii) an entity associated with the client device, or iii) stored tag data associated with a plurality of client devices. The method also includes receiving via the communications module, from the client device, at least one tag added by the client device, and associating the at least one tag with the event and store the association with the stored tag data. The method also includes enabling via the communications module, the at least one tag to be displayed in a user interface comprising a listing of events, and using the at least one tag in executing a follow up action associated with the client device.

An enterprise canary release server may create a plurality of service pools for a tenant in a cloud-based system that supports a plurality of tenants, where each service pool may comprise a plurality of microservices. The enterprise canary release server may receive a request to perform a canary release for a new version of software and identify a first microservice out of the plurality of microservices in a first service pool. The enterprise canary release server may instantiate a new microservice in the first service pool and enable data plane connectivity between the new microservice and a second microservice. Accordingly, the enterprise canary release server may disable data plane connectivity between the first microservice and the second microservice.

When the supply conditions have dropped below the equilibrium threshold for a respective sub-region, the system can initiate a supply-constrained mode for the respective sub-region in which the system inputs each respective menu item request received, corresponding to a delivery location within the respective sub-region, into a queue, and dynamically determines a fulfillment probability for the respective menu item request.
